With a look at tonight's high school football action, here's still me.
We begin our preview with eight player football tonight, Wisconsin Heights at Kickaboo LeFarge,
Belmont at North Crawford, Highland at Wonny Walk, Weston, Monticello at DeSoto.
It's also Riverdale playing at Pegatonic, Argyle tomorrow afternoon, starting at two.
Other games locally in the six rivers was Eka Senica at Black Hawk Warren, Iowa Grant
at Potosi Castville, Boscaville visits River Ridge, SWAL Turner at Mineral Point, Darlington
visits Fenemore, Bellville at Southwestern and Cuba City at Benton Scales, Mount Scholesberg.
In the scenic Bluffs, Cashton at Brookwood, Hillsborough host New Lisbon, Royal at Bangor,
and Ithaca at Nassita.
I talk to co-head coach Kyle Kelly, and he says the Bulldogs, if they want to make the
playoffs, have their work cut out.
Yeah, that's their goal, I'd start the season to make the playoffs, so I predict at this
point, we have to win out to make it, so I told the kids to be essentially starting over
O&O, and every team is going to get their own week, and we have to go 4-0 here to make
it and reach our goal.
Bulldogs at Nassita this evening, Southwest Conference, New Glarest at Plantville, Prairie
Dushin at Broadhead, Judah, Lancaster at Dodgeville, and coming up later tonight, Richland
Center at River Valley.
I asked Coach Andy Troxle of Richland Center, what makes the Black Hawks tough?
Well, they've got speed, like I said, you know, and so if they get quick slants, right,
or if they kind of have these long fades, you know, that's the kind of stuff that's
going to separate them, you know, with whatever their opponent is.
So we have to make sure that we play a Simon-based football in the secondary.
Our Valley coach, Tyler McLean, talked about the Hornets for it.
They kind of have some good athletes, both at the quarterback position, the running back
position.
You know, their quarterback is a very nice job extending plays and giving his receivers
chances to go up and get the ball.
They're running back at some speed as well.
You know, we'll do our best to try to contain them, defensively.
Offensively, they also have some athletes as well, they can create a lot of pressure,
get into the quarterback.
You know, again, we'll have our game plan for them and look to execute right at night.
Coach Flynn Center, River Valley, football can be heard beginning with a Viteznik Power
Sports pregame show at 6.35, kickoff time, seven o'clock at River Valley High School.
I am a fill me.
The Brewers close out the regular season with a three game series against the Cincinnati
Reds at home, even though they clinched the division titles sometime ago, there's still
something on the line, Milwaukee needs one victory or one filly lost this weekend to
hold the best record in baseball.
That would mean a home field advantage.
Quinn Priester starts tonight's game against the Reds and pre and the first pitch for
that contest will be at seven 10 and you will be able to hear the broadcast of that game
on WRCE 107.7 and AM 1450 with the pregame starting at around 6.35.
Michael Parsons faces his former team as Green Bay visits Dallas exactly a month after
the Packers acquired the star pass rusher in a blockbuster trade with the Cowboys.
Dallas defensive tackle, Kenny Clark also is facing his former team in prime time on Sunday
night.
The Packers sent Clark and two first round picks for Dallas and Clark is a 2016 first
round pick who spent his first night seasons in Green Bay.
The Dallas defense has looked vulnerable without Parsons.
The Cowboys are less than the NFL in past defense and near the bottom in sacks.
Cowboy coach Brian Shottenheimer tells reporters his team is good enough to beat Green Bay,
even without White receiver CC or CD lamb and left guard Tyler Booker.
ESPN is reporting Shottenheimer's committing comment after injuries to the two starters.
The Packers are a one touchdown favorite.
The Dallas defense is giving up almost 31 points of game and ranks 30 as in the NFL against
the pass 17th against the run.
Green Bay needs a bounce back game desperately after being ambushed by the Cleveland Browns
13 to 10.
