The Packers claim victory in their home opener for the 13th straight time Sunday with a 27-13

decision over the Lions.

Micah Parsons picked up a sack in his first start for Green Bay.

He talked about having to work hard for that first sack.

I can't tell what song we got to keep hiding, keep hiding as to process the long game.

Just keep coming close sucks, but to finally just get it and just get that relief.

But now I just got work on just increasing my stamina and being able to go on for longer

periods of time.

So that way, you know, they don't squirt the end and we get the egg.

Coach Matt LaFlori talked about the team avenging recent losses to the Lions.

The energy our guys brought not only in the first half, but I thought we matched it

to start the second half as well.

Defensively, it was a dominant performance.

I mean, I think I looked on the stat sheet and we had something like 9 TFLs or sacks against

a really good offensive line.

Just our style play was exactly what we wanted.

Jordan Love fired a pair of first half scoring passes to Tucker Kraft and Jaden Reed and

Josh Jacobs added a late touchdown.

The Lions averaged more than 33 points a game, all going 15 and two last season.

They didn't reach the end zone Sunday until less than a minute was left.

It's a short week.

The Packers welcome the commanders to Lambo field for Thursday night football.

In other football top stories from yesterday, it was an amazing game last night and a thriller

in prime time.

Josh Allen led Buffalo to three scores in the final four minutes.

The last a 32 yard field goal by Matt Prater as time expired and the bills rallied from

15 points down to stun the Baltimore Ravens 41 40 in a season opening thriller.

Aaron Rogers looked right at home in his debut with the Steelers, the 41 year old quarterback

through four touchdown passes against his former team in a 34 32 victory over the Jets

Sunday.

Rogers first game with Pittsburgh to begin his 21st NFL season came after a two years

stand with the Jets that included Super Bowl dreams and mostly disappointing results.

Rogers joined the Steelers after being released by the Jets in the off season.

He threw two touchdown passes in a 50 second span, the put the Steelers up in the fourth

Well, rookie Jacob Isorowski stopped at the Pittsburgh Pirates on a single run through

seven innings as Milwaukee won Sunday's game, 10 to the Brewers swept the series at PNC

Park.

First baseman Andrew Vaughn went four for five with a double and an RBI.

It was the best starting effort of Mizrowski's young career as he picked up his fifth win.

Manager Pat Murphy was asked why they didn't take the Miz out earlier because he was going

so good.

You know, like all of a sudden, he looked like he was, his tempo was good.

He was on time.

I'm like, why would we take him out?

You know, he's as good as he's looked at the four fifth and six and seventh were better

than the first three.

You know, I was concerned in the first three.

I was concerned.

Manager Pat Murphy, the crew getting set for this week's action.

It begins with a game in Texas tonight.
