In local sports, the Darlington Cross Country invitation was held today.

The top school for the girls running was Darlington.

They were tops, followed by Lancaster, Southwestern Benton, Phenomore, and Tri-State

Home School.

The top overall runner, with a time of 1902, was Lancaster's Maddie Driscoll.

Riverdale was involved in the tournament.

They finished eighth as a team.

Mallory Meas was 17th, with a time of 2207.

Melody Williamson was 20th.

Olivia Meas was 40th.

Millie Schneider 41st, and Megan Kruehl was 70th at the Darlington invite.

For the boys, Phenomore was the top team, followed by Iowa Grant, Albany, Wisconsinites Barnavelle,

and Argyle Picatonica.

Darlington had the top overall runner, Marcus Kendall, the time of 1755.

Also team-wise, for the Riverdale boys, Wyatt Schram, with a 43rd place finished in time

of 2047, Clark Jolson was also next for Riverdale, Dylan Topper, Kalen Williamson, and

Mark Wilkie, ran today for the Chieftains.

We have a smattering of soccer scores, who are some tournaments held today, Prairie

Douchine at 10-nothing winner over Cooley Christian Providence, and Winona Cotter, a winner

against Holman, two-nothing, McFarland defeated Barobu for nothing.

At the River Valley invitation, River Valley was a winner in two over Brookwood earlier

today.

Also today, it was Barobu winning two-nothing over Appleton West in Nothorab winning two-nothing

over Barobu at the Middleton invitation, also Barobu defeated Middleton, two-nothing.

Stoten was a two-to-one winner over Dodgeville in the DeForest volleyball tournament as well,

going on today.

Some of the tournaments still continuing.

Quinn Priester went seven innings for his franchise record 11th consecutive win.

Jake Bauer is drove in a pair of runs, and the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Pirates 5-2

Friday.

Priester gave up two runs and six hits, while striking out six and walking one to break

the mark set by Chris Basio and Cal Eldred, who won ten consecutive decisions back in 1992.

The two teams play again tonight, and that is going to be around a 5-41st pitch time.

LeBruer baseball following the Badger football game on WRC, EFM 107.7, and AM 1450.

Currently, the Badgers have gone up 21 to 10 over middle Tennessee Blue Raiders, and

that game is in the third quarter.

66-0 over Northwestern State.

Today in the WIAC, in state scores, you'll need River Falls over Alma 45-33, Stout

a winner against Dubuque in a close one 38-35 Wisconsin-Platville over Aurora 41-0.

Steven's point 28, Albion 21, and Wisconsin Whitewater 45-14 over Carlton as well.

David Johnson, an all-star second baseman who won the World Series twice with the Baltimore

Orioles as a player and managed the New York Metz to the title in 1986 has died.

He was 82.

Long-time Metz Public Relations Representative Jay Horowitz says Johnson's wife informed

him of his death after a long illness at a hospital in Sarasota, Florida.

Alyssa Thomas took back the WNBA single season assist record, topping Caitlin Clark's

mark of 337 set last season.

Thomas needed six assists coming into Saturday's game against Connecticut, where she starred

for so many years before leaving for Phoenix this season as a free agent.

She got the record breaking one-on-one on a three-pointer by Catherine Westfield in the corner

with 445 left in the second quarter.
