It will be action coming up later this week for week number three of the high school

football season. And several teams will begin conference play this coming weekend.

On the state scene, Brandon Marsh went four for five and singled home the go ahead run

in the ninth inning as the Phillies he raised an early four run deficit to beat the Milwaukee

Brewers 10 eight yesterday, Bryce Tarang and Caleb Durbin, Homerd from Milwaukee. Brewers

manager Pat Murphy was also ejected in the ninth inning for arguing a check swing call

on Philadelphia's JT Real Muto. He talked after the game about what he saw.

You know, all players have a hard job. They have a hard job. What I don't like is when

they're definitive that they got it right. And then I see what I see after the game and

you can see the barrels out in front of his front leg. Tell me how the barrel can be

in front of his front leg at any moment and it not be a swing. So I'm not again, that's

a tough call from the angle he's at. He does the best he can. And that's all I can say.

That is manager Pat Murphy is team getting said for an off day today and a chance to kind

of regroup after struggling a little bit in all aspects yesterday all the way around

they handled us put up 10 runs. That's not very typical, but that's that's what happened.

You can attribute to a lot of things, but you got to execute and you can't give up free

bases. Pat Murphy, the brewer is getting ready for Philadelphia on Wednesday. Elsewhere

yesterday the Cubs got a win against Atlanta final score of seven six San Francisco eight

Colorado two Washington two nothing over Miami. In the American League, Boston six Cleveland

four, the lightsocks six five over Minnesota, Houston eight, the Angels three Tampa Bay ten

two over Seattle. Inter league play Cincinnati five four over Toronto, the Mets ten Detroit eight

athletics 11 Saint Louis three Baltimore four three over San Diego and Texas beat Arizona.

That final score was seven to five newly acquired superstar linebacker Micah Parsons is currently

dealing with a back spring, putting his debut for the Packers in week one in doubt. ESPN's

Adam Schefter reports Parsons has been prescribed an anti inflammatory to reduce the tightness in

his back and he is on a physical therapy program. The injury puts his availability for week one

into question as Green Bay hosts the Lions on Sunday Parsons joined Green Bay at practice Monday,

making his first appearance in his new number one jersey. In his first game as a college coach,

Bill Belichick's North Carolina team started fast only to get blown out TCU beat UNC 48-14 last night.

The tire heel scored a touchdown on the first possession and then the horned frogs scored 41

straight points. That said, much at North Carolina sell out crowd fleeing for the exits long before

the start of the fourth quarter. The 73 year old Belichick is a first time college coach. He won six

super balls as head coach with the NFL's New England Patriots as wrestling great Rick Flair famously

said to be the man you got to beat the man defending national champion Ohio State is still the man

in college football. The purveyors of preseason rankings had anointed Texas because of what in

retrospect was an overabundance of unjustified hype surrounding archmaning reality hit at the

horseshoe on Saturday and now the buckeyes are poised to jump Penn State and return to number one

when the Associated Press first regular season top 25 drops later today. Look for number nine

LSU to garner support for number one after its 1710 win over number four Clemson.

Badger safety Preston Zachman was named big 10 defensive player of the week. Zachman picked off

a pair of passes in Wisconsin's season opening shutout victory over Miami of Ohio last Thursday night.

Zachman's first INT set up a Badger score inside the five yard line to put Wisconsin up 17 nothing

in the fourth quarter. His second pick sealed the victory in the game's final minutes. He also had

a pair of solo tackles in the win. Wisconsin hosts middle Tennessee on Saturday.

In WNBA play last night at Lanna over Connecticut 93 76 Minnesota beat Dallas 96 71 and Los Angeles

over Seattle 91 85. The Milwaukee Bucks G league affiliate squad the Wisconsin herd has made a trade

the herd sent the shower the Hornets affiliate the Greensboro Swarm the NBA GL rights to center

Ebo Badge in exchange for the number 31 pick in the G league draft and the rights to point guard

Lindell Wigington and center Jeremiah Tillman Wigington is no stranger to the Bucks a six foot two

guard out of Iowa State. The 27 year old was first traded from the Iowa wolves the Minnesota Tim

Wolves G league team to the herd in October of 2021. That's an update on sports. Again remember

the Brewers do not play today. Look for them again coming up on Wednesday on WRC E FM 107.7 and AM

1450 tonight high school volleyball beyond the air with the match beginning around seven o'clock
