High school football continued last night with a broadcast from Spring Green.
It was River Valley hosting Wisconsin Dells, and Phil Lee was there.
River Valley improved to 1-1 with a 42-17 win over Wisconsin Dells.
Senior Caden Plumley had a big night as he rushed for 228 yards and four touchdowns.
He had runs of 56 and 32 yards for scores in the first half.
After quarterback Lucas Klein ran for a nine yard touchdown, and Owen Jones also rushed
for a two-point conversion, and the Black Hawks led 22-0.
Wisconsin Dells scored a safety late in the half, and was turned away as the first half
ended when River Valley's Quincy Blakely grabbed his second interception of the night.
The chiefs cashed and stuttered ran for a 46-yard touchdown, and Ethan Hopper kicked the
extra point to make it 22-9.
Caden Plumley ran for his third score with a 23-yard scamper, and the score was 28-9.
The chiefs picked up another touchdown with a 12-yard pass by Rex Rydinger to Antonio
Gomez.
Rydinger threw a two-point pass to Hendrix Dawson, and it was 28-17.
Wisconsin Dells had closed the gap.
The Black Hawks grabbed the momentum right back when they scored to their next play from
Scrimmage.
Lucas Klein threw a pass to Jordan Gogger that covered 79 yards for a touchdown.
Klein then ran the ball for the two-pointer, and it was 36-17.
Plumley's final touchdown came on a 15-yard run.
Jordan Gogger intercepted a late pass for the River Valley defense, and he picked up 102
yards receiving on the offense from quarterback Lucas Klein.
Owen Jones ran for 61 yards for the Black Hawks.
Following the 42-17 win, River Valley will now prepare for a road game at Broadhead
Judah to begin Southwest Wisconsin conference play.
The Dells now Owen too will start the South Central League with a home game against Adams
Friendship.
