There's a look at sports from Richland Center.
It's high school sports really ramping up this week.
That is the top local sports story as practices underway for volleyball and for soccer and
for cross country.
Richland Center cross country teams will be in action coming up with a scridge.
Richland Center, Ithaca Scrimmage will be happening at nine o'clock this coming Saturday
morning at the West Practice Fields at Richland Center.
To this week, there is eight player football many of our area teams playing on Thursday
night.
Do soda will play at Kikaboo High School against Kikaboo LaFarge.
That's a six o'clock kickoff time on Thursday.
Wisconsin Heights will be at Belmont High School, Monticello at Highland High School starting
at seven on Thursday and North Crawford plays at Waniwak Weston.
That game will be at Weston High School this coming Thursday night starting at seven
o'clock.
11 player football on Thursday night.
Games include Wisconsin Dels at Portage and River Valley is ramping up its preparations
as it plays on Thursday night at Evansville High School.
That will be a seven o'clock kickoff time for brand new head coach Tyler McLean's team
River Valley on the road and then most of our teams from the area will be playing on Friday
night.
Those involved in the 11 player football games will include Ithaca hosting Riverdale and
Verrocua at Richland Center among the games.
There will be a parent and athlete meeting for any Richland Center High School girls interested
in playing seventh and eighth grade volleyball.
The meeting will be held Thursday night at five thirty in the high school east commons
at Richland Center and Richland Center middle school football will have a scrimmage with Ithaca
coming up on Thursday at five thirty.
That will be at the Richland Center High School West practice fields.
First league softball championship action will be held tonight.
The twenty twenty five tournament will conclude the Knights of Columbus who knocked off Richland
Baptist Temple to on Thursday night and also St. Mary's a bioscore of nineteen eight have
moved into the championship game to face the mission, which is coming through the winners
bracket.
That game will get underway tonight on WRC with our coverage around seven o'clock.
If the KC's win the early game, the same two teams will play again an hour later.
If the mission wins, they will be the champions of the twenty five church league softball.
Freddie Peralta allowed one hit in six innings for his major league leading fifteenth win
and the Milwaukee Brewer's beat the Cubs seven nothing yesterday.
Milwaukee won for the fifteenth time in sixteen games and extended its nationally central
lead back to nine games over the rival Cubs.

The ringers Danny Chow says Hollins could be the team's most interesting wild card this
year with Damien Lillard sideline and Rollins final thirteen regular season appearances.
