The Southwest swim conference had their infotational swim meet in Boschabell on Saturday, the Simon
Shark swim team finished in the middle of the pack, placing forth out of 17s, Boschabell
finished first, Lancaster second, Prairie Dushin third, Dodgeville fifth, Anchelsburg
sixth, and Mineral Point seventh. Although the sharks were shorter on numbers than most teams,
what they lacked in numbers they meet up for was speed. The sharks meddled in three of 78 events.
And the sharks are back home tonight at Simon's Recreation Complex where they swim against
Redsburg and Boschabell. They are already underway with that meet. Whether permitting the sharks
will then travel to Prairie Dushin on Wednesday the 16th. In home talent league baseball action
yesterday afternoon, in the Western section, Belleville beat Argyle 14-4. That was a makeup
from last week. Pinebluff Monthorib beat Belleville 11-1. It was Blanchardville over Ridgeway 17-6.
Hollandale defeated Dodgeville by a score of six to two. It was Verona over Arena 14-2.
Wyoda beat Argyle 6-1. Anchelsburg Benton shut up Musgrae 10-0. In the Northern
section, Casanovia defeated Redsburg 5-1. Ashton beat Cross Plains 9-5. Middleton shut out
won a key 7-0. And it was Sock Prairie over Black Earth by a score of 12-1. The burgers are
roaring. I should say into this week's Major League Baseball All-Star Break on a 7-game winning streak.
Yesterday's 8-1 win over the Washington Nationals kept Milwaukee one game behind the Cubs in the
Central Division race. Started Freddie Peralta won for the 11th time while taking a no-hitter into
the 6th setting. Jackson Cheerio and Bryce Torang slammed home runs in the victory. The burgers
returned to action on Friday in Los Angeles against the Dodgers. Milwaukee has drafted college
through basement Andrew Fisher with the 20th pick in the 2025 Major League Baseball free agent
Draft. Fisher also played first base in Outfield for the Tennessee volunteers. He blasted
25 home runs and reached base in all 65 games with the balls he played. California high school
shortstop Brady Ebbel was taken was taken 30 second with the 59s pick in the second round.
The burgers took left-handed pitcher JD Thompson from Vanderbilt. The 68th pick for Milwaukee was
New Jersey high school shortstop Frank Chiron. Round three through 20 will be held on Monday.
The bucks are reportedly planning to sign former first round draft pick Cole Anthony to a contract.
ESPN reports that Memphis bought out Anthony's deal Saturday. Milwaukee is thin at guard after
waving Damien Lullard over his five years with the Orlando Magic Anthony average 12 and a half
points for assists and for rebounds per game. The Magic traded him to the Grizzlies before Memphis
bought him out. A former NFL executive says White receiver Matthew Golden is just what the Packers
offense has been missing. Mike Tenbaum has served in the front offices of the New York Chats and Miami
Dolphins. He predicts the Green Bay offense will be on fire saying the team is absolutely loaded.
On three dot com reports the Packers are expected to experience more of the same growth.
The offense has shown since Jordan love took over as starting quarterback.
