The muskete Mudcasts traveled to arena on a rainy Sunday for a home talent baseball

game.

The Ace is held on for a two-nothing win and they improved to a league leading 5-0.

The first part of the game was played in a steady drizzle.

Both starting pictures went the distance and there was only one walk given up in the

game.

Eli Alt was the winner for arena with 10 strikeouts and a walk while giving up just four hits.

Alex Meister struck out five, did not walk a batter and yielded eight hits.

Jimmy Jennings was three for four.

He singled and scored on a hit by Zach Cady in the opening inning.

Alan Spurley singled and scored in the fourth inning and that was the extent of the runs

in the nine inning game.

Spurley and Trey Schulte both went two for three for the aces.

Muskete's Matthew Cartwright was two for four while Landon Hazley and Keegan Ramirez both

had hits.

The Mudcasts are now one and four in Sunday league action.

Having Sunday's two-nothing win, Arena now five and 0 will host Blanchardville Sunday

and Muskete will travel to Dodgeville on Sunday.

It's been a good start for the aces.

They are managed by Nick Larson.

Yeah, so we're getting off to a real nice start here.

Got a good group of guys.

I've been fortunate to coach them most of them since they've been about 12 years old and

it's kind of coming full circle here and they're really playing some good ball together

and our pitching is doing well and getting some nice time with Eddie.

I was wearing home talent action on Sunday.

Dodgeville was a winner over Bellville 11-4 while at a seven Ridgeway five.

It was Verona 10-2 over Hollandale, Blanchardville 13, our guy-o-nothing, Scholesberg Benton 6-2

over Pinebluff Mounthorab.

In the North, Ashton was a winner over Crossplanes 4-1, Sock Twins over Mesa Manie 6-4, Middle

on Saturday.

that final score was 5-4.

Brewer Closer, Trevor Miguel struck out three batters to escape a ninth inning threat

Sunday, saving a 3-2 win.

Milwaukee took three out of four from the Cardinals over the weekend.

The big hit was Christian Yelges, 14th home run.

Quinn Priester collected the win with six solid innings giving up only one run.

It's been kind of a patchwork deal this year for manager Pat Murphy, who says the team

hasn't been at its best, but they've been able to get by.

Yeah, I mean, we're not clicking.

We're still young.

We're still figuring out.

I mean, we just played a kid today in my field that nobody knows his name.

There's not 12 guys on our team that know who he is.

He did a nice job, but it just showed.

I mean, we're not like the Cardinals or the Cubs or the Reds.

They got to set kind of 10 or 12 guys they go with.

We're still figuring things out, but you know, this is a group of the right, they're the

right dudes.

You know what I mean?

And that's why they they played a win.

They played a win to the right guys are benches the right guys.

The Brewers sit alone in second place in the National League Central taking a day off.

They will take on the Cubs starting Tuesday night.

Aaron Savali got a little wild in the right handers first start for the white socks two

days after he was traded by the Brewers.

Savali walked four of the first seven hitters he faced against the Rangers Sunday.

The 30 year old finish with four walks, one office career high while allowing six hits

and two runs in five innings, the lights ox acquired him a day after he said he wanted

to remain a starter for the Brewers or another team.

Cincinnati eight, four over Detroit, Philadelphia 11 and Toronto four Tampa Bay nine nothing

The Badger football program has received a commitment from a three star defensive back

prospect from Texas.

Zachary Taylor would be a member of the UW recruiting class of 2026.

Taylor is the 12th commit for the class.

You will play a senior season for Katie high school in the Houston area this fall.

247 sports reports he was also considering offers from Minnesota West Virginia and

the Air Force and also in sports JJ spawn turned a miserable day into an unforgettable finish

in the US open.

It was wet and nasty at Oakmont five players were tied for the lead with an hour to go.

He delivered two shots now part of US open lore.
