I'm Phil Lee. Here's a look at local sports from yesterday.

Richland Center 165 over plant fill in the bottom of the seventh last night.

The game was played at North Park in Richland Center.

The Hornets lost just two weeks ago in plant bill by the same score

under similar circumstances.

Senior Jacob McDonald pitched six innings with seven strikeouts, two walks,

and he gave up just two hits.

Freshman Finn Lemke worked the seventh and gave up a hit while walking one

and striking out two to get the victories he kept the game tied

until the Hornets got the winning run.

Trenton Mum went the distance and suffered the loss for plant fill.

With two on base and one out in the seventh,

Isaac Gauld put the ball in play in the Hillman through wildly to second base

as Brady Dosh came around to score and made the final six to five.

Dosh scored three of the Hornets six runs.

Jacob McDonald and Finn Lemke each went two for three with a double.

Richland Center had seven hits.

Joan of Orwell was on base three times and had one of plant fills three hits.

With the win, Richland Center is now eight and twelve and four and five in the league.

They will host Dodgeville Tuesday night to wrap up the regular season

and then travel the low tide open the WIA tournament on Thursday.

The lost knock Platteville out of first place in a tie with Dodgeville.

They are now six and three in the league and ten and nine overall.

They have a game against Edgewood Saturday and will wrap up the league against Lancaster on Tuesday.

Lancaster was a winner over River Valley last night, six two,

and Dodgeville stayed on top in the league, improving to seven and two

with a two-one victory over Prairie Doshine.

DeSoto knocked Weston out of conference contention last night with an 11-nothing victory.

The win by DeSoto means Seneca will win the Richland Valley Conference baseball championship this year.

Riverdale held on to defeat Darlington by the score of 14-12 last night.

Ethan Kagle was three for three with four RBI while Henry Dron would go two for three with three RBI.

Chase Chitwood would hit a two-run home run while Eli Campbell would collect two hits

for the Chieftains.

In baseball action elsewhere, Riverage 5-2 over Belmont.

He was Iowa Grant beating North Crawford 6-4, 1-1 center, 2-1 over Nesita.

Boschabell 4, Phenomore 3, LaFarge 7-3 over Kikapoo,

Readsburg 7, McFarland 2.

WIA softball tournament action last night.

The Weston girls saw their softball season come to an end in the regional

as the Wildcats of LaFarge came back for a 10-6 win over the Eagles.

Weston had the lead from the beginning.

Took the first inning lead scoring two runs on three walks in an RBI by Valerie Bauer.

Later Haley McGlin held with a two-run single giving Weston the lead.

The Eagles took the lead back in the fifth in the Seasaw battle.

LaFarge eventually scoring the win as they picked up some runs in the bottom of the sixth inning

to make it a final of 10-6.

LaFarge moves on and will face Ithaca, which had a first round by.

WIA center 12, nothing over North Crawford in five innings.

Peckatonica 8-7 over Southwestern, in 11 innings.

Potosi Castfield 8 Benton-Scholzberg 4.

Division 4, Riverdale 15, nothing over Boschabell.

The Chiefs' advance in the tournament to play middle point.

It was Darlington 5, Parkview 3.

Westby got the win against River Valley last night, 10-9 in eight innings,

ending River Valley's year.

Also, it was lacrosse Logan over Sock Prairie 8-4 in Division 2.

Games that were not tournament games, but still played last night's softball action.

Richland center edged Plantfield 1-0 in that makeup game.

Phenomore 14-12 over Dodgeville.

Cashton 12-Soto 2 reads Bergate 2 over Camry of Friesland and Portage 3-2 winners against Lodi.

In high school soccer, Richland center traveled to Dodgeville, the Battle Dodge Point,

and the conference matchup saw Dodge Point win 5-0.

Horted players playing a solid game overall, according to Coach Shawnee Fink.

With two more regular season games left, the Hornets are looking for more improvement as the season winds down.

Key players to this solid performance was keeper Lily Tidrick with 14 saves.

Speedy defender Sylvia Schmidt and Harper Glass-Brenner and solid midfield play by freshman Rowan May,

who is back after facing some injuries.

Next up are two conference matches, Tuesday and Thursday at 5, to round out the regular season.

River Valley tied Prairie Dushin River Ridge, Seneca 1-1 last night in soccer and reads Berg 9-1 over Portage Point net.

The River Valley boys golf team won the Southwest Conference Meet, played at Galena yesterday by 17 strokes.

River Valley shot a 3-35 to get the job done.

Richland center boys finished 5th, Richland center girls were 4th.

Some highlights.

In the girls 4x8, it was Grace Fretz, Pearl Fretz, Addy Lawless, and Rachel Waterfall finishing 2nd.

As a unit, the Richland center boys 4x8 with a 5th place finish, Harrison Carpenter, Henry Clancy, Henry Martin, and Andrew Melby.

In the girls 100 meter, Charlie Bailey was 5th.

For the boys, Aiden Hill, River Valley 3rd in Wesley Hatfield 5th.

The girls 100 meter hurdles.

Danica Paul's Richland center 4th, Brooklyn White River Valley 5th.

In the 200, Charlie Bailey, Richland center 2nd.

Gina Klein of River Valley was 4th.

In the 200 meter boys, Dash, Aiden Hill, River Valley 2nd.

Wesley Hatfield finished 5th.

Some of the other events from yesterday.

It was Brielle Gran of River Valley finishing 4th.

In the 1600, the boy 1600, Richland center's Ryan Stadler was 4th.

In the boys 4x2, Richland center 1st place, and they continued to impress with a 131-51.

Robert Budden, Fletcher Harper, Mason Joleneck, and Kevin Hernandez finished just ahead of River Valley, which was 2nd.

Wesley Hatfield, Spencer Sackett, Lucas Klein, and Aiden Hill.

Molly Moss of River Valley was 3rd in the 400.

Also, Richland center's 4x1 relay team was 4th.

Lacey Allball, Riley Banker, Pippa Ewing, and Sola Ewing ran that for the Hornets.

In the 800 meter run, Robert Budden, Richland center 1st place, 202 15, and is a conference champion.

Brielle Gran of River Valley 3rd in the 3200, Pearl Fred's Richland center was 4th.

The boys 3200, Ryan Stadler, Richland center 3rd.

In the girls 4x4 meter relay team, Richland center finishing 3rd.

Lacey Allball, Charlie Bailey, Riley Banker, and Grace Fretz.

The boys 4x4, Richland center 1st place, 328 99, Grace and Banker, Robert Budden, Fletcher Harper, and Kevin Hernandez.

Danica Paul's 9-6 in the pole vault, 2nd in the conference, Devon Woodhouse Richland center, 3rd in pole vault, with 12 feet his top.

Also in the long jump, Sola Ewing Richland center, a conference champion, and also Pippa Ewing was 5th.

Reagan Sackett River Valley was 5th in the triple jump.

Madeleine Huber, a conference champion in the discus throw, and in the shot put, leading Richland center.

Also, Grady Graham of River Valley was 3rd in the boys discus throw, and Grace Fretz Richland center 3rd in the 800 meter run.

Among the highlights and events, yesterday at Dodgeville, the top school was Lancaster for boys 162 to Plattville's 101, for the girls Lancaster 1st, 182 and a half, Prairie Dushin 2nd at 94.

Ethigo Weston was a part of the North Crawford Richland Valley conference meet yesterday.

Balthus Archeiser was 5th in the 100.

Also, the 800 was Clayton Lee taking 1st place.

He also was 1st in the 1600, a conference champion there, and a conference champion, the 3200, big day for Clayton yesterday.

4x2 relay team, John Hash, Randy Piccardo Flores, Gage Buscher, and Balthus Archeiser, 3rd place, 3rd place for the 4x4.

It was Sam Jones, John Hash, Deakin McDonough, and Balthus Archeiser, with their personal record, and a 4x8, which finished 2nd.

Brace and Garcia Bolin, John Hash, Deakin McDonough, and Sam Jones.

Carrick Thompson, 4th and pole vault, John Hash, 5th and triple jump.

For the girls for Ethigo Weston, Tristan Peterson, 3rd in the 100 hurdles, the 4x1 was 5th, Maggie Kirschner, Holly King, Jaden Bolin, and Bailey Wannless.

The 4x2 was 4th, Jaden Bolin, Maggie Kirschner, Bailey Wannless, and Faith Tunichka.

And the 4x8 was 3rd, Jaden Bolin, Faith Tunichka, Holly King, and Maggie Kirschner.

Bailey Wannless, 4th, with a PR in the high jump.

Long jump, Tristan Peterson was 4th, and the discus Holly King finished 3rd, and in the shot put, Holly took 2nd place.

Team Scores, Kickable of Farge won the event big, taking first in the boys with 189, and in the girls 219, Kickable of Farge with a big day yesterday in the conference championships at North Crawford.
