The rematch of the game that was played a couple of weeks ago at Casanovia.

The Bulldogs have recently lost a center cuff kind of fallen off the pace, but still with

a couple of games to go in the region Valley in a chance to play at home against Weston,

which right now is in contention for an outright conference championship in the Ridge and Valley.

Elsewhere in the conference today, LaFarge will play at Kikapoo in baseball and softball.

Richland Center's baseball team will be at Prairie Dushin, JV and Varsity today.

And as mentioned, Richland Center soccer is at River Valley.

We will have spring sports coverage beginning around 445 this afternoon on the Votesnik Power

Sports pre-game show leading toward game time at Ithaca.

Listen for further updates on the weather to see if some of those games might be changed,

moved up earlier or even moved back a little bit later.

They are forming a cornhole league at Univista by Centennial Park Wednesday night starting in June.

For the first time since Matt LaFlaur became head coach, the Green Day Packers will open the

2025 NFL season at home September 7th.

Week one and two games against the Lions and Washington commanders will be played at Lambo Field.

The NFL released its official schedule last night.

The commander's game is on Thursday, September 11th.

Green Bay will be at Detroit for a game Thanksgiving Day.

The Bay is on week five.

Things could get tougher as the season wears on.

The last nine games will feature opponents who all made the playoffs in 2024.

The Packer preseason schedule all Saturdays August 9th versus the Jets August 16th at Indian

apolis and August 23rd versus the Seattle Seahawks.

Then the regular season Detroit, Washington at Cleveland on September 21st at Dallas on September 28th.

The team will have a buy the week of October 5th.

They'll host the Eagles in Monday night action on November 10th.

They'll be at New York.

Then they'll play the Vikings on November 23rd at Detroit, November 27th.

That's Thanksgiving Day.

December 7th versus the Bears at noon at Denver December 14th.

And then just another week later, they'll play the Bears again at

Chicago.

That'll be on a Saturday.

They'll also play December 27th or 28th versus Baltimore and January 3rd or 4th

versus the Minnesota Vikings.

That's a look ahead at the Packers NFL schedule that will be again official now

after it was released by the league.

There could be a few tweaks to some of the start times.

But otherwise, it looks like that will be the order of games.

After being held scoreless for two games,

the Brewers erupted for nine runs in a nine five win at Cleveland Wednesday.

First baseman Reese Hoskins went four for four with a home run and five runs

batted in.

South Freelich went deep and Jake Bowers knocked in two more runs.

Rookie Logan Henderson earned his second career victory with five solid innings.

Reese Hoskins talked about the atmosphere in the clubhouse during the recent Brewer slump.

What can I do differently?

What do I need to keep doing the same, right?

It's just kind of a recalibration.

But I think an easy way or an easy thing to get lost in is you process your preparation.

So because I think when you are prepared and you do what you need to do to get ready for the game,

I think that's what breeds confidence.

I managed your Pat Murphy talked about Reese stepping up.

He was above and beyond today.

I mean, his at bats were incredible all day.

Every bat quality at bat and we had over 20 quality at bats today and

that's the type of team we have to be.

It's it's not about talent.

It's it's about that mindset.

And you know, they decided today that they were going to have those A B's.

And the Brewers are off today.

They'll start a series against the twins.

Tomorrow Chad Patrick will be on the mound for Milwaukee.

Minnesota has been baseball's hottest team lately.

They took two from Baltimore yesterday.

Six three and eight six.

The Yankees were winners against Seattle.

Three two Detroit six Boston five.

Toronto three one over Tampa Bay.

Houston four Kansas City three in the National League.

It was Philadelphia two one over St. Louis.

Arizona eight San Francisco seven.

St. Louis 14 seven in the night cab.

Getting the win against Philadelphia.

Miami edge.

The Cubs three one Pittsburgh four.

The Mets nothing.

Washington five four over Atlanta.

And elsewhere in the Inter League action.

It was the light socks four Cincinnati two.

Texas eight three over Colorado.

San Diego five the Angels one.

And the Dodgers beat the Athletics by a score of nine three.

Also in local baseball home talent baseball schedule gets underway.

Officially this weekend there will be many games.

The Muscaday Mudcats will be having a home game coming up on Sunday

afternoon at one o'clock during the Muscaday Morale mushroom festival.

Turning to other sports basketball from last night.

Julius Randall scored 29 points.

On 13 for 18 shooting to send the Minnesota Timber Wolves to the Western

Conference finals for the second straight time with a one 21 110 victory over

the Golden State Warriors in game five Wednesday night.

Anthony Edwards at 22 points and 12 assists for the six seated wolves

who will face Denver Oklahoma City's winner.

They could get five days off.

If the nugget speak the thunder tonight to force a game seven

in the other West semi final series.

In the East Boston got by New York 127 to 102.

Marquette basketball a schedule to play a pair of non conference games next

season in Chicago.

The program it already announced appearing with Indiana November 9th at the

United Center Wednesday.

The Golden Eagles announced a November 28th showdown with Oklahoma at credit

Union one arena on the Illinois Chicago campus.

Another trip to Chicago will pit Marquette against big east opponent

to Paul at Wind Trust arena and Badger basketball never seems to

get much respect in offseason polling.

Coach Greg Gard is in the middle of some productive roster work.

Despite that Wisconsin has dropped outside the top 20 in a pull release by

sports illustrated.

The Badgers come in at number 21 after a 19th ranking a month ago.

The two spot drop comes despite newcomers that could help the UW in recent

years the Wisconsin program is answered by posting outstanding records once

the season gets underway.

I'm Philney with an update on sports.
