On the local sports scene from Friday night in girls' high school soccer, Toma defeated
Altona Fall Creek by a score of five to one.
The Richland Center Hornets went on the road to face River Valley and baseball action,
and Phil Lee was there.
River Valley came from behind to defeat Richland Center's six-five Friday night in high school
baseball.
The visiting Hornets led five to one at one point in the game.
The Black Hawk scored two runs in the sixth and three in the seventh to win in exciting
fashion.
West Bosworth singled three times and walked.
He drove in two runs for the Hornets.
Isaac Gald had two hits, Jacob McDonald doubled and scored twice.
Wyatt Banker pitched the first five and a third innings before Deacon Heiss came on in relief.

In the seventh, Kaden Plumley hit an RBI single scoring Keegan Heisser and Drew Reedles
scored on a wild pitch to tie the game at five.
With a potential winning run at third base, River Valley's Griffin's record laid down
a bond that pushed across Plumley with the sixth run, the victorious Black Hawk celebrated
and the season series was even after the Hornets won the first time in Richland Center,
