
Here's a look at Southwestern Wisconsin sports Richland Center won four nothing over
Plattville in high school softball last night.
Freshman pitcher Kyrie Fisher was dominant with 15 strikeouts.
She gave up three hits and walked three and seven innings of work.
JC Gander led the team with two runs batted in Gabby Key was two for three for Plattville.
Richland Center played well on defense and they did not commit an error following the
win. Richland Center will play at Wasika Stuban on Thursday.
Lancaster came from behind to win nine six over River Valley in Southwestern Wisconsin
softball.
The arrows were up three nothing in the fifth when River Valley played at five runs
led by a two run home run from L.I. Hill brand at an RBI triple five Brooklyn Stokes.
Lancaster played at two runs to tie the game at five in the top of the sixth before the
Black Hawk scored a potential winning run in the bottom of the sixth on a hit from Tessa
Schluter.
The arrows bounce back to plate four runs on two hits in the top of the seventh and
made it stand up for the win.
Morgan Hill was the winning pitcher for Lancaster after working six innings.
Lily and Edge came on in relief in the seventh.
Tessa Schluter suffered the pitching loss for River Valley after going the distance.
Elomires and Tessa Schluter were both two for three for River Valley.
Emma Jensen and Greta Jensen were both two for four for Lancaster.
Lancaster is now three and two in the league eight and four overall.
River Valley fell to one and four in conference play and five and seven overall.
Riverdale picked up a win and a non-conference game over Kikapoo 15-7.
It was Barnavelle edging Highland 7-6 Hillsboro 26-1 over Weston Bellville 15-13 over
Darlington Benton Schoesberg beat Potosi Casfield 8-6 Wisconsin Heights 8-7 over Cambridge
Edgewood Abundant Life Madison Country Day 6-2 over Readsburg, Wisconsin Dells 26-0 over
Austin.
In baseball from yesterday, it was a win for Riverdale over Darlington 10-0, Boschabell
6-1 grant 5, Fenemore 7-6 over Middlewood Point, Prairie Dushin 3-0 over Luther, Lancaster
3, and Highland 2, it was River Ridge edging Belmont 1-0, a win for Sock Prairie over
Readsburg 2-1 and G-E T-Beats Sparta 14-0 on the baseball diamonds yesterday.
In high school soccer, Plattville and Caster was a winner 8-0 over the Hornets, despite
the score according to the coaches, stellar keeper play by senior captain Lily Tidrick,
including stopping a penalty kick by Plattville.
The next action for the Hornets will be Thursday night celebrating family night when they take
on La Crosse Logan.
So last night, River Valley on the road defeated Galena 2-0, Sock Prairie 11-0 over Port
H-Point Ed and Toma Edges La Crosse Logan Luther by a score of 1-0.
Track action last night at Prairie Dushin, a big mid-season meet hosted by Prairie for
the Southwest Wisconsin Conference.
Here's how area teams fared for River Valley, Gina Klein 3rd in the 100, 3rd in the 200,
4th in the 400, Anya Sephrude took fifth with a 100 yard dash, Molly Moss was second in
the 400, Brielle Grant first in the 1600 with a time of 551-10, Jenna Cox 3rd in the 300
hurdles, and Reagan 2nd 3rd in the triple jump.
For the Richardson Center girls, big day for freshmen, Charlie Bailey 4th in the 100,
2nd in the 200, 1st in the 400 with a time of 103, 63, and 3rd place in the long jump.
Grace Fretz, 3rd in the 400, and 2nd triple jump.
Rachel Waterfall with a 1600 run, where she finished 2nd, Pearl Fretz, 1st in the 3rd
200 with a time of 1247-28.
Big day for Danica Paul's as well.
She was 1st in the high jump with a 10 with a 4-10, also 2nd in pole vault, 3rd in the
100 hurdles.
So Lay Ewing first in the long jump with a time of 1750, Pippa Ewing 4th in the long
jump, and Madeline Huber first in shot with a 37-foot throw, and first in discus with
a 115-7.
For the boys, Richardson Center's Fletcher Harper, 1st place in the 100, 4th in the 200,
Duncan Harper 3rd in the 100, 1st in the long jump.
Mason Gelanick was 5th in the 100, Robert Budden 5th in the 200, 3rd in the 400,
Ryan Stadler in the 800 finished 3rd, and the 1600 was 4th.
Grace and banker, 110 hurdles, 5th place, and the 300 hurdles, 4th place, Devin Woodhouse
was 3rd in pole vault competition.
And for the River Valley boys, 8 and Hill first in the 200, 4th in the 400, 4th in
long jump.
Wesley Hatfield, 3rd in the 200, and in the 400 was 5th, Owen Carly took 5th in the
triple jump for the Black Hawks.
On the golf course is last night at Quail Run, Tuesday men's golf league action.
It was Neil Mahoney with a 38, including a birdie on hole 7.
Chris Pardoon, a 41, and birdied hole 1.
Tony Dorety, a 42, including a birdie on hole 1.
Also a 42 for Rich Baroncat, 43s for Brian McCarvel, Ken Nick Sr., and Steve Swasina.
In the highlights, other golfers with holes played under par, Jeremy Wilson with a birdie
on hole 1, Andrew Nica, birdied hole 1, Jared McDonald, birdied hole 2, Andy Marshall,
and Tom Marshall, both had birdies on hole 7, and Wally Wachter, a birdie on hole 8.
Flag prize winners, Jared McDonald, closest second shot on hole 2, Randy Scunover, longest
put on hole 4, Rich Baroncat, longest drive on hole 6, Tony Dorety with a closest second
shot on hole 8, and Ken Hanson, longest drive from the whites on hole number 8.
On the state of Wisconsin scene, Tyrese Halliburton and the Indiana Pacers stole one from the
box.
Indiana 4's two turnovers in the final 29 seconds of overtime, and Halliburton blew
pass Yannis out to the cupo for the go ahead layup with 1.3 seconds left to give the
Pacers a 119-118 victory and a 4-1 series win.
The Pacers closed the game with an 8-0 run over the final 40 seconds of overtime to eliminate
the box in the first round for the second straight season.
Halliburton had 26 points and tennisists as he improved to 9-0 in home playoff games.
This chippy series ended fittingly with a shoving match between the teams at mid-court.

A win for the Brewers last night, a full run rally in the sixth inning that won Tuesday's
game at Chicago, started with a slow roller near the mound.
By the time the game was over, the Brewers had a 7-2 win over the White Sox.
Freddie Peralta picked up his third victory and Isaac Collins belted the first home run
of his career.
Collins and Caleb Durbin knocked in two runs each.
Tobias Meier starts the second game of the series against the White Sox tonight.
