The Richland Center High School golf team is preparing for some big needs coming up,
including this Saturday at House on the Rock Resort, the River Valley Invite, RC High
School Golf Coach Mike Davis, joined us recently.
Great, great, great course.
We're going to do the invite on Saturday and then we go right back on Tuesday for the
conference one, you know, and we'll see which sets of holes they have as golf, you
know, they got three, three, three nines out there, but you know, like it's a great
course.
It's tight, you know, you know, and the kids like playing there.
And I understand you're kind of really conditioning the varsity to try and get to 18 holes, and kind
of it's a different, I guess, strategy when you go all 18, isn't it?
We have found that, you know, we played a lot of nine hole events, you know, and that's
kind of like playing half of a game, because when you get to the regionals and sectionals
and that sort of thing, you know, it's a 18 hole event, and you know, it's just a different
mind frame.
I mean, you can have a bad hole and you got 17 more holes, you know, and just the ability
to pace yourself, you know, and, you know, it's a long walk and you're carrying a bag
and, you know, it's, it's a big mental thing.
And we decided this year as a group that we like want to try that, so hopefully it pays
off for us.
Richland Center high school golf coach, Mike Davis, the Hornets have off today as far
as varsity sports concerned.
So tomorrow coming up, there will be track action going on at Verrocua.
There will be platville golf course action for JV golf teams and also the Richland Center
baseball team will take on lacrosse Logan tomorrow, Richland Center softball preparing
for a return to the conference against platville today's schedule for River Valley, Phenomore
is playing host to River Valley and baseball and the River Valley softball team is taking
on sock prairie Riverdale baseball is taking on
basketball and also the Riverdale softball team is home against basketball this afternoon.
If I will be at Weston, Casanovia ballpark for baseball and softball today will have
the call of the baseball game that begins at five o'clock pregame time 445 as two teams
that are unbeaten in the rich and valley conference will meet in what should be a very
good ball game.
And today in the rich and valley kick a poo is playing at stuttered elementary school
against isoto and it's stuttered for the baseball game as well the stuttered community
park.
Those events going on today in high school sports high school sports in the news from
over the weekend the WIA met and one of the top topics was name image and likeness coming
to the high school and it appears that will be the case.
The approved constitutional amendment will allow students to enter into NIL opportunities
for activities not associated or identified with their school team school conference
or the WIA students also can't wear their school teams uniform in any endorsement deal
or use the marks and logos of their school conference or the WIA compensation for NIL deals
also can't be based on a students on field performance and the deals cannot be provided
as a means of recruiting.

In bowling news the end of the winter bowling season is here and the greater rich
them to area USBC bowling association Levitt's annual open meeting coming up this Wednesday

officers for the next season on the state of Wisconsin scene Jose Cantana became the
first brewer pitcher to win his first four starts for the team since C.C.
Sabathea in 2008 the 36 year old Cantana helped Milwaukee snap a four game losing streak
in a seven one Sunday afternoon victory over the Cardinals.
Cantana struck out six in five innings to pick up the victory.
He allowed one run on five hits and three walks.
He has given up just three runs in 23 and two thirds innings over the four starts.
