
Here's a look at sports in Southwest Wisconsin. I am Phil Me, the
Richland Center high school softball team lost in nine innings to Dodgeville
for three last night. The Hornets continue to play the Southwest
Conference contenders in close games. Freshman Kyrie Fisher had three hits
in four at bats, including a solo home run in the second inning.
The Hornets broke a one one tie in the fifth when Ella Clements had an
RBI ground out. Then a bases loaded walk to Tatum Razick, pushed home a run
and Richland Center led three one. Emadority hit a double the tie the game
in the bottom of the seventh and the teams played two more innings before
the Dodgers won the game on a walkoff single by Riley Forsyth in the
bottom of the ninth. Kyrie Fisher pitched eight in the third innings for
the Hornets, giving up eight hits and four runs one earned. She struck out
seven and walked five. Avalored pitch for Dodgeville and surrendered five hits
and three runs over nine innings striking out six and walking four.
Richland Center scheduled to host Mauston and an on-conference softball
game tonight at five. The Hornets will honor the 1996 W I A state
qualifying team between the varsity and JV games approximately at six
thirty. Ithaca 11 Kickapoo won Ariana Lewis gave up a total of four
hits. She struck out four and walked one. Maddie Townsend suffered the
loss for Kickapoo. Ithaca's catcher Holly King picked off three of four
steel attempts last night. Kelsey Coleman was one for one with a couple of
walks to our BIs in a home run. Emma Hillby two for three. Maley
Plymer one for three with two RBI's in a home run and Alyssa Muller was
one for two with an RBI hits for Kickapoo. Haley Peterson, Michaela
Kaufman, Gwen Fredrickson and Maddie Townsend. Phenomore over Darlington
final score was six to one. Also Cuba City got a 12-nothing win over River
Dale. Wazika Stuban 10-5 over DeSoto. Mineral point 12 and Iowa
Grant 11. Mount Horab 5-2 over Barrel Boo. Seneca 20 North Crawford 6.
Plattville got the win against Landcaster 3-2. River Valley edged
Prairie Ducchean 6-5. For Weston last night, an 18-12 win for LaFarge.
The silver Eagles at 11 hits led by Lily Cask going three for five with a
double. Two RBI's Haley McGlenn, Lexi Rockwiler and Calise Cbenall are all
had two hits in the game last night. The Eagles continue to make improvements
for coach Larry Villierde. In baseball news from last night, it was a win for
Weston over LaFarge. That final was 21 to nothing. Trevor Westfall took care
of business on the mound, pitching a complete 5-8 game in 57 pitches.
Weston had 26 hits on the night. Hunter Coy, 4-4 with a double four RBI's and
three runs scored. Isaac Jennings, 4-4 with a triple and a home run. Four RBI's
and three runs scored. Also Blake Bingham had three RBI's. Ryan Greenwood with
three hits. Garrett Jennings, 3-4 for four as well. Gavin Cast, 3-4. Brady Westfall
was two for four with a double last night. Garrett Granger and Trevor Westfall all
had hits for the silver Eagles. It was a win yesterday for Ithaca. They got by
Kikapu, 4-1 in Ridge and Valley Conference play. Kaden Keller had two hits.
Devon Eim pitched a little over six innings to get the win. He walked four and
struck out 11. Kaden Keller came on in relief as the bulldogs nailed it down. Evan Wallace
and Brent in Ewing each had two hits for Kikapu. Evan Wallace was the pitcher that
suffered the loss. He struck out six and walked one.
Plattville was a winner over Riverdale. Final score 12-7 in baseball.
Southwestern 9-7 over Belmont. Iowa Grant 8-2 over Monticello Albany.
Lancaster 7. Darlington 4. It was Bangor 8-2 over Cashton.
DeSoto 10-7 over Bosca Bell. G-E-T beat Westby 9-6.
Also last night on the baseball diamonds. Seneca 4, nothing over North Crawford.
Readsburg to nothing over Edgewood. Brookwood 12-nothing over Wonny Walk Center.
In high school soccer from last night. Richland Center lost a dodge a
middle point. Eight-nothing. River Valley Edge, Prairie Dushin, River Ridge, Seneca.
Four-three. Track results from last night in Royal.
Ithaca Weston involved. Tristan Peterson was second in the 100 hurdles.
Also Afe Place finished for Maggie Kirschner with a personal record.
Three-hundred hurdles. Tristan Peterson first place.
Faith Tenichka was ninth in the 800.
First place finished for Tristan Peterson in the long jump.
Bailey Wannlis with a personal record in the discus finishing tenth.
And Faith Tenichka also with a PR and 11th place in the discus.
For the boys, the 4x8 relay team was first with a time of 906-59.
Sam Jones, John Hash, Brason Garcia-Boland, and Clayton Lee.
Ran that for Ithaca Weston.
The 100 yard dash.
Boltaiser Kaiser with a ninth place finish.
1600 run. Deacon McDonough was fourth with a personal record.
Gage Buscher was 12 in the 400.
Bolta Sar Kaiser, 9th in the 200.
Conor Montez, 5th in the 3200.
And a triple jump finish for Gage Buscher was 10th.
12 for John Hash in the discus throw. Deacon McDonough was 5th
and 10th in Shotput.
A couple of relay teams did really well.
The 4x4 was second.
Sam Jones, John Hash, Deacon McDonough, and Clayton Lee,
and a first place finish last night as well.
And the 800 for Clayton Lee, 4th for Brason Garcia-Boland,
and 12th for Conor Montez.
That's a look at how it went last night in Royal.
Going on tonight, River Valley is playing baseball at Prairie Dushin.
There's also baseball for Richland Center tonight.
The Hornet Baseball team is at Dodgeville.
The Richland Center softball team, as we mentioned earlier,
is taking on Mauston at home.
The Ithaca softball team is at Riverdale this afternoon.
Ithaca JV Baseball is at Barrowboo.
Riverdale in action tonight for Baseball.
They're at Iowa Grant.
And Kikapu will be playing softball at Verokua High School.
Staying going on tomorrow night at Richland Center High School,
the Hall of Fame and College signing, 430 for the doors to open, 530.
The Hall of Fame inductees will be officially inducted
into the Richland Center School Hall of Fame.
Brian Strang, Bruce Wilson, Greg Vatesnik, Richard Dick Newman,
and the 1983 Class B State Champion Girls Track Team
at Richland Center will all be honored.
