Ithaca, an area baseball. I spoke moments ago to Riverdale head coach Kurt Thompson.
Kurt, a little rain over the weekend. How's the diamond looking for today?
It's looking pretty good. It's going to take a little work, but we should be
all right. The forecast for today is for it to be breezy, which helps dry out
the field. And I think by game time, we'll have, I'm predicting a little sun.
So we'll do what happened.
You take on the bulldogs, always a good one. And I think you on purpose,
like to leave them on the schedule, don't you?
Oh, for sure. Yeah, that's a big game for, I think for, you know, for us and all
that, it's a nice rivalry game. They got really, of course, a great program.
Very well coached. It's always fun to play them. So we try our best to make sure
we always keep them on the schedule both ways. And so we're excited for tonight.
It'll be a nice game and interesting game because you're coming off the little
Easter break. And so Monday night games. So it should be a fun one.

Over the weekend in baseball, Reed's Berg shut out on Alaska 12.
Nothing. And Royal was a winner over Weston eight one in the Royal triangular
and games that were played on Saturday. Elsewhere, it was a win for
on Alaska over Reed's Berg 7 6 Westby edge whitewater by a final of 4 3 Royal
over Melrose, Mendoro, 5, nothing on Saturday. The Ithaca softball team was
involved in the triangular at Royal. They defeated Royal 11 7 and game one.
The winning pitcher was JC Maxwell. Also, Holly King was two for two with an
RBI and two doubles. Kelsey Coleman, one for two with an RBI. Kaley New Kirk,
one for two with an RBI in a double and Jade and Bolin two for three with an
RBI. Kaley Manning had a big pinch hit RBI single in the fourth to get a rally
going for Ithaca game to the Bulldogs one five four over Melrose, Mendoro.
Ariana Lewis was the winning pitcher. Emma Severson, sir, for the loss for
Melrose, Mendoro. Ithaca's leading hitters, Holly King three for four with an
RBI. Jade and Bolin two for three. Kelsey Coleman, one for two with an RBI in
the game on Saturday. The next action for the Bulldogs comes up on Tuesday
night when they will be back into conference play. Games going on tonight in
the Ridge and Valley. It's Weston traveling to North Crawford for a conference
games and a baseball and softball kick a poo will be taking on Brookwood at
Wilton Village Park this evening. River Valley has soccer action versus
Lakeside Lutheran at River Valley High School and softball at Columbus this
evening. Over the weekend, Richland Center girl soccer team defeated the
Richland Center alumni six to two at Richland Center High School. The Hornets
with a couple of chances in the first half goals in the first half scored by
Rowan May off the goal post and in and the second by Naveia Glassbredner who
finished it after following a shot by C. La Nelson in the second half action.
The alumni scored a goal by Sephora Ewing off an assist through ball from
Shawnee Fink. Another goal for the alumni by Shawnee Fink in the 18 by
chipping the Hornet keeper. Score was tied at two with 30 minutes left. The
Hornets added four more goals against the tired alumni in the second half
where I update C. La Nelson, Naveia Glassbredner and Evelyn Ramston. Both
teams enjoyed playing Saturday and did a great job of representing Richland
Center. The annual alumni game. Well Richland Center Church League softball is
on the horizon. The kickoff meeting for Church League softball will be held
Tuesday night at seven in the basement of free Methodist Church in Richland
Center. All teams planning to participate in the 2025 season should have a

brewers gave rookie starting pitcher Logan Henderson plenty of support in his
first major league start Milwaukee stole six bases in the first inning at a
franchise record nine in the game while beating the A's Sunday 14 1. Henderson
allowed just one run in three hits and six innings that gave the team four wins
in the six game homestand Bryce to rank scored three runs and swiped three
bases. The brewers started 10 game road swing tonight in San Francisco with
Quinn prester getting the start. Manager Pad Murphy commented that the team did
it all well. I think that's one of the ways we win. You know, we win by collecting
hits, taking walks, stealing bases, having the threat to steal, which could be a
better pitch to hit sometimes. Yeah. That's one of the ways we can beat you. And
Sal Freelich was happy for Logan Henderson. I know I wasn't surprised. He was
going to go out and do that. But I know he'd been up here for a few days to
and hadn't pitch it, which can kind of be tough. Sometimes found out he was
getting the start for days ago. And I mean, just went out and threw an absolute
gem. So so happy for him. And I think that's on a family out here, but awesome
to see. No swear inter league play Atlanta 6 2 over Minnesota Cleveland 5
Pittsburgh for Cincinnati 24 2 over Baltimore. The Dodger shut out Texas
1 nothing. Angels 5 San Francisco 4 San Diego 3 Houston 2 in the American

over Detroit Seattle 8 Toronto 3 in the National League. The match 7 Saint
Louis 4 Miami 7 5 over Philadelphia. Washington with a win against Colorado 3 2
The Cubs were beaten by Arizona 3 2 and Colorado 3 1 over Washington in the
NHL playoffs Carolina 4 1 over New Jersey Toronto 6 Ottawa 2 Vegas 4 2 over
Minnesota. The Bucks first round playoff series against the Pacers is starting
to look a bit like last year after a blowout loss. There were plenty of bad
performances, but Kyle Kuzma's scoreless effort may have been the worst. Yana
Santa Cumpo was solid with 36 points and a dozen rebounds. ESPN reports
that point guard Damien Lillard will return to the lineup in game two Tuesday
night or in game three Milwaukee was knocked out of the playoffs last season
by the Indiana Pacers and the Packers could finally take a wide receiver in the
first round of the 25 NFL draft. That's something they haven't done in 23
years. The draft starts Thursday night. Christian Watson is still dealing with a
knee injury and he and Romeo dobs are free agents next year. That gives Green Bay
