I scrolled some all over the weekend, cashed and defeated Ethica, three to one at the
Cubicity invite Dodgeville defeated Potosi Castville, 16-6, Cubicity over Wisconsin
Heights, 10-nothing, Cubicity over Dodgeville, 5-1 and Wisconsin Heights beat Potosi

one goal of peace over the weekend. High school baseball, it was Ethica over
cashed in, 10-nothing on Saturday at the Boscowville Triangular, the Bulldogs
with a 2-0 day. Boscowville defeating Shatech Wirehouser, 6-4 and Kickapoo, 10-nothing
while Shatech Wirehouser defeated Kickapoo, 10-nothing. Dodgeville over Belleville,
Final Score of 6-4, Belmont, 5-4 over Darlington and 6-4 over Pitzville. On
today's area schedule, there are games slated, depending on the cold weather and where the
variance is going to be per conference on what you can allow in terms of cold weather,
a games or not. So it'll be close today, but these are the schedule contests. North Crawford
hosting Weston in baseball and softball. Kickapoo will be hosting DeSoto and Ethica scheduled
to go to Ezeka Stuban for baseball and softball. River Valley slated to travel to Peca
Tonica and the River Valley softball team, home against Pointet. There's action today
at Riverdale. The Chiefton baseball team will host a JV game against Iowa Grant and
Southwestern plays at Riverdale in area softball. I asked Coach BJ Henkel of Riverdale about
the start of the season.
So far, I would say the biggest thing that I've noticed is we've compared to last year,
we've kind of, we've just battled through each game. We got down right away to Caston
first game in the year, battled back, and on Chip the way, Chip the way, and finally
had our beginning, and we were able to come back and win that one, which was a nice win
for us to start the year. And then going forward, kind of the thing, you know, a thing
in all the other games we've played so far, we've just kind of been putting the bat
on the ball better this year so far. Defensively, we've been playing strong. You know, we had
a little hiccup with Highland and Friday night, but that's a solid team over there. They'll
finish strong in their conference. So, you know, we're looking forward to getting back
in action tonight, and see what we can do in another conference game here.
And what do you know about Southwestern? I would say they're similar to us, you know,
numbers kind of bounce around each year. I think they're, you know, a mix of players
just like us. We've got, you know, just a couple seniors, few juniors, and then some sophomores,
and they kind of play for us. We have one freshman that's playing right now. And so, yeah,
I think we're both just young teams and kind of trying to find ourselves right now and work
through a few little issues. But yeah, I mean, we've been playing well for what we have
right now and hoping that continue to keep improving each game. Riverdale hosting Southwestern,
that varsity game, varsity only tonight set to start at 430 at Riverdale's softball field.
Richland Center sports seems to get back to action tomorrow after most of them having last week
off because of spring break. In fact, the Richland Center golf team slated to play at Lake Wisconsin
Country Club. Richland Center's softball team at Wisconsin Dells tomorrow. And the Richland
Center girl soccer team slated to play at Sparta at Sparta Memorial Park Field on Tuesday.
On the state of Wisconsin, seeing the box won a game between two shorthanded teams Sunday,
edging New Orleans 11107. Milwaukee was playing without Yana sounded a cupo, Damian Lillard, Pat
Conneton, and the suspended Bobby Portis. Four starters were absent for the Pelicans, Gary Trent
Jr. scored a season I 29 for Coach Doc Rivers. Milwaukee qualified for the postseason Saturday
when a second straight triple double by Yannis provided a one 21 1115 win against Miami in overtime.
The Buxos, Minnesota on Tuesday night. Coach Doc Rivers says their defense led the way in the
most recent win. Once we got multiple stops, we stressed the score, fell on a good play for
broke down the stretch. We ended over and over again. We executed it. So love their execution
down the stretch until the very end. But other than that, I thought, you know, it's a win on a back-to-back night
when you didn't know who was going to play tired or not and everyone played well. It was good for us.
The Buxos got an action tomorrow night next. Also, yesterday, the Lakers over Oklahoma City,
126.99, Toronto over Brooklyn, 120 to 109, Boston, 124, Washington, 90, Atlanta, 147, Utah,
134, Sacramento over Cleveland, 120 to 113, Portland, 120, San Antonio, 109, New York, 112,
Phoenix, 98, Indiana over Denver, 125, 120, Houston, 106, Golden State, 96, Chicago,
131, Charlotte, 117. Jackson, Cherionect in five runs as the Brewers took three out of four games
from Cincinnati. Sunday's score was 82. Milwaukee is posted wins in five of its last six games
after an ugly start to the season. Chad Patrick started and earned his first Major League victory
in that second start. And here is his manager, Pat Murphy, talking about the way that Patrick has
played and through the first 10 games. That's what I hang on to right now because we're not playing
great. I'm not going to candy code it like we're not playing great. You can say, well, at one five
out of six, what are you talking about? We're not playing great. And it's one of those things where
I think we'll get it, but it's that point that they found a way to win. And what about the first
couple of games for the rookie? We wouldn't know that he just started his Major League career very
poised sensible with his stuff. And there's a ton of room for improvement, but you know, just him
gaining that confidence that he belongs and that he can help us twice in the series. So twice in
this homestand, it's really kind of significant. Pat Murphy, talking about Chad Patrick and his
start for the Brewers elsewhere. It was Miami and Atlanta post-poned Washington five four over
Arizona. Philadelphia eight. The Dodgers seven San Diego eight seven over the Cubs. American league
Detroit four three over the White Sox Kansas City four Baltimore one Texas four three winners
against Tampa Bay used to nine Minnesota seven. The Angel six two over Cleveland inter league play
the Mets two one over Toronto Pittsburgh five. The Yankees four Boston five four over St. Louis
Colorado 12 the athletics five San Francisco five four over Seattle and Boston beat St. Louis
18 seven the final score. The Wisconsin men's basketball program is earned a commitment from a top
transfer Portland forward Austin rap was named the top freshman in the WCC last season after
scoring 14 points and averaging six and a half rebounds a game. Rap was good on more than 35
percent of his three pointers. He follows Andrew Rody to Madison through the transfer portal.
It was announced over the weekend that Rody would be coming to Wisconsin from Virginia. The six foot
10 rap was being recruited by Michigan or a gone Clemson and Iowa. I'm Phil Ney with an update on sports.
