It's been a busy day for basketball, WIAA State Girls Tournament Action today. Assumption won the Division 5 game with a 34-30 win over Barnabelle.
Division 4 title was captured by Cuba City as they held off St. Mary Catholic, 53-50.
Cuba City became just the second 4th seeded team at St. tournament to win a championship. They were the runner up a year ago.
St. Mary Catholic scored a win in their Division 4 game, and that was earlier to get to the state title game, and Cuba City was a winner 68-63 yesterday.
Also action going on in boys basketball today, these are the games to get to state. Royal Laws today at a Cochrane Fountain City in Division 5, 53-41.

Iowa has fired coach Fran McCaffrey after the Hawkeyes won their fewest games and had their lowest big 10 regular season finish in seven years.
The 65-year-old McCaffrey was under contract through 2028 and said last week that he intended to return for a 16th season rather than retire.
Athletic director Beth Getz decided a change was in order amid declining attendance at Carver Hawkeye Arena and will sign off on McCaffrey's $4.2 million buyout.
McCaffrey was 297 and 207 at Iowa. He was fired on Friday.
