North Crawford was a winner at Ithaca Tuesday night and area boys basketball.
The Trojans improved to 7-0 in the Ridge and Valley conference,
13-1 overall with an 80-61 win over the Bulldogs.
It was the second time the two teams have met during the season.
The first came win over time.
Last night it was all North Crawford as they made nine of their 12
three-point baskets in the first half.
Ithaca chipped away at the deficit.
However, each time North Crawford would go out another run,
and they eventually won the game by 19 points.
Five Trojan players scored in double figures.
They were led by Colin Jakobus, who netted 23,
landed Blaha, added 14, Carter Emler 13,
Andrew Munson 12, Zach Bender at 11.
The team was 11 for 15 from the line.
Ithaca was led by Devon Eim with 18,
Sammy Clarice scored 13, Cody Burns told 11,
Wesley Nelson 8, Casey Palmer in 7,
Ethan Berkram and Zander Sorenson each had two points.
The Bulldogs hit eight three-pointers,
and they were 5-4-7 from the line.
North Crawford won the JV game, 60-32 over Ithaca.
Following the 80-61 varsity win,
North Crawford will prepare for a conference game Friday night
against Seneca.
Ithaca is now five and three in the league,
and 11 and five overall.
They will host Weston on Friday night.

Kikapu was a winner against Weston, 64, 54.
For Kikapu, Brekkett Miller at 16,

Weston was faced by Isaac Jennings with 21,
Garrett Jennings added 15 for the silver eagles.
It was LaFarge over Weston, 61 to 47,
the final score, again an area boys basketball.

It was a win for Royal over Cachean 83, 26.

It was Dodgeville, a middle point battling last night,
where the pointers coming out 16 to 46,
and Southwestern 52, Iowa Grant 37.
Also last night in girls basketball,
Phenomore beat Riverdale 65, 40,
to improve to 8 and 11 overall.
They were led by Brooklyn Richie's 21 points,
and Peyton Lundowsky was in double figures with 13.
Riverdale falls to 10 and 7 overall with the loss,
achievances were led in scoring by three players,
each with 10 points.
Zuri Dennis, Macy McKay, and Lily Barr.
In the JV game, Riverdale 1, 48, 34,
behind Haley Schneider's 14 points.
Elsewhere yesterday in girls basketball,
it was a win for Kickaboo over Dessoto, 54-33,
Jaden Snagel at 15, Ella Coe, led Dessoto
with a total of 11.
Westby got the win against Richland Center
at a close game last night.
The Norse pulled away for a 57-41 victory,
the second half in non-conference girls basketball,
and Ithaca lost on the road to New Lisbon 51-48.
River Valley over Boschabell 54-36.
It was a win for Landcaster over Iowa Grant 61-36.
Wisconsin Heights meet Dodgeville 47-41.
Boston defeated Hillsboro 57-46.
Also a victory for Melrose-Mendoro over Cashton 16-43.
Darlington beat New Glarris 45-39.
Nassita 64, LaFarge Youth Initiative 30.
Also it was Redsburg 67, Barrowboo 44.
Dual meet wrestling last night.
Riverdale hosted a quad.

Richland Center was a winner, 45-21,
over Ithaca Weston.
Ithaca Weston got the win against Hillsboro 45-9.
And Riverdale a winner against Ithaca Weston 60-24.
Elsewhere I was a win for Riverdale over Richland Center,
45-33 in a dual meet during the quad.
And it was a 57-12 win for Riverdale over Hillsboro.

during a five-minute stretch after the half.
The win keeps Coach Shaka Smart's team in a tie with St. John's
for first place in the big East, two-time defending national
champion Yukon visits Fycer Forum on Saturday.
Madjermins basketball travels to Maryland for its next big 10
conference game against the Terrapins.
Unexpected long-range offense from reserve guard Kamari
McGee has been a big help for the offense.
McGee leads the country by hitting over 55% of his three-point
attempts.
Maryland comes into tonight's game of the record of 16
and five, including six and four in conference play.
The team is led by Freshman Center, Derek Queen,
averaging 15 points, and eight rebounds per game.

Michigan State was a winner over Minnesota in big 10 basketball,
73 to 51.
A 39-point performance by Yanis Antenna Kupo was not enough for the
Bucks to avoid a loss to Portland.
The trailblazers, one of the youngest teams in the NBA,
held on for a 125-1-12 win.
Milwaukee was good and over half of its close shots, but only 11
of 35 on three-pointers and Portland led most of the second half.
The Bucks stay on the road for Friday game at San Antonio.
Last night elsewhere, Houston, 100 Atlanta, 96.
Philadelphia beat the Lakers, 118-104, and Golden State over Utah,
114-103.
And former Packer defensive back, Micah Hyde has told a Buffalo
reporter he plans to retire from the NFL.
Hyde didn't play for the bills this season as he recovered from
next surgery.
He spent his first four pro seasons in Green Bay after being taken
in the fifth round of the 2013 NFL Draft.
Hyde was named all pro twice, appearing in 63 games and picking
off eight passes.
