Kikapu's coach by a long-time coach, Eric Wiegel.

This is gone, you know, kind of how I thought it would go when you look at the players you

have returning and you look at the schedule and you think, yeah, I think we're going to

be pretty good and at ten and three, I would say that's, you know, a pretty solid start

to our season.

We started it a little rough.

We started off one and three, but we did play in that mix, Scholesberg who's very good

and we played Waseka who's very good, but since that game against Waseka in early December

we've been able to run off night in a row.

You're going to be a challenge to maybe a little bit more in the region Valley this

year, aren't you?

Yeah, of course, Waseka's been very good now for about ten years and they are, they continue

to be with, they only have one loss, they lost a Lancaster early.

The up and coming team seems to be the Soto.

They have some very good young players.

The best one being Kylie Venner, she was first team on conference last year as a freshman.

They've only lost three or four games this year, so they're currently in third place

in the region Valley.

Tick-A-Poo is at Richland Center and Girls Basketball this evening.

We'll have the call at FM100.9 and WRCO.com.

Marquette goes for its 6th grade victory in tonight's biggest conference game at DePaul.

The Golden Eagles come in rated 7th in the country.

Cam Jones is the top scorer at 19.7 points per ball game.

DePaul is trying to snap a 4-game losing streak.

The Wisconsin men's basketball team is riding the hot hand of Senior Center Steven Crawl

as it welcomes Ohio State to the cold center this evening.

Tip of a set for 6pm on WRC EFM 107.7 at AM 1450.

Over the last 5 games, Crawl is scoring 16.6 points per outing, hitting 76% from the field,

54% on his 3-pointers and a perfect 13-4-13 from the free-throw line.

The buck-eye is coming to the game with a 10-6 record, Junior Guard Bruce Thornton,

average is almost 18 points per game.

The bucks get back to action tonight.

Yannis Antenacumpo says the team has been horrible against the top teams in the NBA Eastern

Conference.

Milwaukee has no wins after eight contests against the Cavaliers, Celtics, and the Knicks.

The Knicks put a 34-point beat down on the bucks over the weekend, dropping them into

6th place in the standings.

Yannis insists his team is still better now than it was the first time it lost to the Knicks.

Matthew Stafford threw two touchdown passes and the Rams overwhelm the Vikings, sacking

Sam Darnold and NFL playoff record tying 9 times to win 27-9 on Monday night.

The game moved to Arizona because of the devastating wildfires.

Sam Darnold's Renaissance push Minnesota and one of the NFL's best records offering

the hope of a deep playoff run, a disappointing night in the desert, Rammed Darnold and the

Vikings.

Out of the postseason, Darnold was ineffective for most of his first playoff start losing

two turnovers while being sack those nine times.

Steady for most of the turnaround season, Darnold finished 25 of 39 passing for 245 yards

with a touchdown and an interception.

One of the sacks caused a fumble that was returned 57 yards for a touchdown.

Packer's cornerback, Keisha Nixon tells reporters he wants to focus on defense from now on.

He says that a dire has nothing to do with his critical fumble on the opening kickoff

against the Eagles.

He just wants to look ahead.

Future is bright.

We have 31 turnovers, top five defense in every category and that was just a start.

That's also just buying in to what the coaches was bringing in.

That's only one year under the system so next year excitation is going to be even more.

By the way, a replay showed Nixon recoveries fumble on the kickoff but a review did not

support overturning the original call.

And the Packers tied in, Tucker Kraft reflected and looked ahead.

Personally just just continue to develop.

I think complacency is a constant cat in mouse game.

You just got to find a way every morning to get up and win that battle and I'm going

to get some rest.

You know, I'm very fortunate.

The violence I play with that I was able to make it out relatively healthy and I'll

just take a couple weeks off and get back at it.

The Packers talking yesterday as they were cleaning out their lockers.

at Cashton Hillsboro, in Nassita, Brookwood at Royal, Westby at West Salem, River Valley

at Wisconsin Dells, Edgewood at Barrow Boo. Also, it's Kickapoo at Ithaca, DeSoto at North

Crawford, Wazika Stuban at Weston, and LaFarge at Seneca in Boys Basketball, McFarlane

visits Redsburg. Iowa Grant at Mineral Point, Riverdale at Darlington, Boschabell at Cubicity,

and East Dubuque at Lancaster. In Girls Basketball, Cambridge at Wisconsin Heights, Barrow

Boo at Pointette, Darlington visits Plattville, Potosi Castville at Scholesburg, Wazika Stuban

visits River Ridge, Waniwak Center at Riverdale, Seneca at Hillsboro, Cashton at Westby, LaFarge

at Verokwa, Southwestern plays at Lancaster, Belmont at Highland, and Kickapoo is at

Richland Center. That is our feature game on FM 100.9 and WRCO.com. Here is Richland

Center Coach Jeremy Kui.

We're fortunate enough to play them in the summer and our summer league, so have a pretty

decent idea of how they'll be coming at us, which is helpful. They're an experienced

team and hopefully we'll be able to go out there and run them down the court a little

bit.

The Kickapoo Girls are coached by Veteran Coach Eric Wiegel.

I know they've got a new coach and that of course always is tough at the very beginning

of the season in particular. I can remember way back my first year. I don't think we

want to game until after Christmas as the girls are trying to learn a new system and

learn all your terminology. I've seen them on video. They certainly have some height,

which is something that we really don't have much of. We are our college players about

5, 8 or 9. So that's going to give us a little bit of challenge and you know, here

this year the teams that have signs have given us some problems.

That's Eric Wiegel, Kickapoo Coach. His girls are at Richland Center for Area Girls

Basketball. We'll have it on the radio later from FM 100.9 and WRCO.com. I'm Phil

Lee.

The Wisconsin men's basketball team is writing the hot hand of senior center Stephen

Kroll as it welcomes Ohio State to the cold center tonight. The tip off is set for

8 for the big 10 conference game. Over the last five games, Kroll is scoring 16.6 points

per outing, hitting 76% from the field, 54% on his three pointers and a perfect 13 for

the free throw line. The book guys come into the game with a 10 and 6 record. Junior guard

Bruce Thornton averages almost 18 points per game. And you'll be able to hear the broadcast

of that game on WRC 107.7 and AM 1450 as well as WRC dot FM and on the civic media app.

Pregame for that contest will be at 7.

Marquette goes for a 6th straight victory in tonight's biggest conference game at the

Paul. The Golden Eagles come in ranked 7th in the country. Cam Jones is the top scorer

at 19.7 points per game. The Paul is trying to snap a 4 game losing streak. Guard Jacob

Miller or Jacob Myers should say leads the Blue Damans in scoring with 14 points a game.

Marquette is the last big East team that is still unbeaten in conference play.

Janis Antitacupo says the Bucks have been horrible against the top teams in the NBA Eastern

conference. Milwaukee has no wins after eight contests against the Cleveland Cavaliers,

the Boston Celtics, and the New York Knicks. The Knicks put a 34 point beat down on the

Bucks on Saturday, dropping them into six place in the standings. Antitacupo and his

team is still better now than it was the first time it lost to the Knicks. And the Milwaukee

Bucks will host the Sacramento Kings tonight, tip off at Pfizer forum will be at 7. Packer's

cornerback, Cushion Nixon, tells reporters he wants to focus on defense from now on.

He says the desire has nothing to do with his critical fumble on the opening kickoff

against the Eagles. Nixon has already made his reputation as a nickel defender and kick

returner, but he became a standout perimeter cornerback this season while Jair Alexander

was sidelined. Our replay shows Nixon recovered his fumble on the kickoff, but our review

didn't support the overturning of the original call. And Tom Clements is stepping down as

the Green Bay Packers quarterbacks coach after 25 years in the NFL in which he worked with

Hall of Famer Brett Farve and four time MVP Aaron Rodgers. Packer's coach, Matt LaFlor

says Tuesday, said Tuesday or today at his season ending news conference that the 71 year old

Clements is retiring. Clements had begun a second stint at Green Bay in 2022. Clements began his coaching

career after a quarterback in Notre Dame's 1973 national championship team and played 12 seasons

in the Canadian football league. He was the CFL's most valuable player in 1987 and won great

titles with Ottawa in 1976 and with Winnipeg in 1984. WRCSports has been sponsored by
