with a 579, 111 over average, Cory Swanson, bold a 268, 92 over average. Thanks to all veterans who
bowl in the major bowling league, thanks for your service. Well, Marquette got off to a fast start,
and then had to hold on to beat Central Michigan Monday night, 70-62, Stevie Mitchell led four
Golden Eagles and double figures by scoring 17 points. His team led in the first half by a 38-17
score, and then melted down a bit. It was 42-27 by halftime. Marquette had problems finding the
hoop, hitting just 36% from the field, and 10 of 36, three pointers. Coach Shaka Smart's Eagles
are on the road Friday at Maryland. You know, it's it's good for us to deal with tough shooting
nights. It's good for us to deal with an opponent or opponents that won't go away and continue to
fight. You know, we're still in a lot of ways of working progress, figuring out offensively,
you know, who the playmakers are on our team beyond camp. Milwaukee Buckstar, Yana Sounded
a Cumpo, offered a handshake to Jalen Brown, after committing an offensive foul against the
Boston Celtics Wing, only to pull his hand back at the last moment. The incident in the first half
of the Celtics 1-13-107 victory over the Buck Sunday caused Brown to refer to Janis as a child.
Janis responded that he was only joking around, and he likes to have fun when he plays basketball.
Brown was called for a flagrant foul against Janis later in the game, but said the two incidents
were unrelated. The Bucks get back to action tonight. They'll host the Toronto Raptors.
Elsewhere last night in College Ball, Purdue was a winner over Yale 92-84 Ohio State over Youngstown
State 81-47. Former NFL head coach Jack Del Rio has resigned his position on Badger football coach
Luke fickle staff. Del Rio was taken into custody last week. After Madison Police say he appeared
to be impaired following a traffic accident. Police say his car went out of control, hit a street
sign, and then broke a fence in Madison. Del Rio joined fickle staff in August as a senior advisor.
He had coached four years in the NFL, but this was his first job with a college football program.
It was the hand of former Badger linebacker Leo Chanel that blocked a field goal attempt Sunday
and kept the chiefs undefeated. Time was expiring and an accurate kick would have given the
Denver Bronco is the victory. Thanks to Chanel's heroics, Kansas City held on to win 16-14.
The former Wisconsin star has one sack, one forced fumble, along with 33 combined tackles,
and three tackles for loss with the chiefs. He's a standout special team's performer.
A tweet from former Packer offensive lineman David Boktiari is getting some attention. Boktiari
reached out to Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, saying he would play left tackle
for the chiefs. If the Colorado Buffalo's beat Mahomes Alma Mater, Texas Tech, the buffs did win
and fans are speculating what might happen next. Kansas City is undefeated, but as a big hole
the left tackle where consistent play is lacking. It's been years since Boktiari played regularly,
but even when injured, he has been one of the most effective left tackles in the NFL when he has
been on the field. The Dolphin snapped their three-game losing streak with a gritty 23-15 win
over the Rams. Last night, the Rams failed to score a touchdown for only the eighth time
in coach Sean McVey's eight seasons. I'm Phil Me with an update on sports.
