Phil Ney has details on tonight's high school events.

Tonight, Ithaca will host Weston in volleyball action.

The Bulldogs had a very dramatic win over Seneca earlier this week and they prepare for the

stretch drive.

Here's Coach Angie Young.

I would say our leaders are absolutely our seniors.

We have a really fantastic group of seniors on the team this year.

We have six seniors and I've just been really, really proud of how they have stopped up

this season.

Bailey Wamos, Ari Lewis, Holly King, Kayley New Kirk, Alyssa Muller, and Tristan Peterson.

And they're just a really fun group of girls.

They work hard.

They've been really focused and they really have helped to lead some of our younger

players that have been had to step in and contribute on the varsity team this year.

So I've just been really proud of our seniors this season.

The Weston volleyball team is coached by Maggie Lansinger.

Yeah, no, we're definitely older as a group.

But sometimes younger in skill, the past few seasons, we haven't really had a solid

JV program just due to numbers.

So A, I'm really positive that this year we have enough numbers.

We have 14 girls.

So we are running that JV program, but some of our girls didn't really get much JV experience.

That's why I'm really happy to see some girls in some progress this season because they're

kind of getting that experience that they missed out on last year and the year before.

And I think a volleyball can be heard tonight on FM 100.9 and WRCO dot com.

Also in volleyball tonight, kick a pool, be at home.

They'll be taking on LaFarge from the Ridge and Valley Conference and also details on the

SWA L or Riverdale is on the road at Cuba City and Bosquibal, we doing battle at Darlington.

Their soccer action tonight, River Valley will be at Wisconsin Heights, taking on Wisconsin

Heights, Barnabelle, and the Richland Center soccer boys will be at Pointe at High School

taking on Portage.

I'm Phil Ney with an update on sports.

Jackson, Churio tied the game in the A's with his second homer of the night and Garrett

Mitchell delivered a two run shot later in the inning to give the Milwaukee Brewers a

five to three victory over the New York Mets.

Churio also opened the bottom of the first inning with a drive to ride against Son Mania

becoming the youngest player to hit a lead off homer in the postseason.

Hapers picked up a hit as Churio, Bryce Toreng, and Blake Perkins, he chatted too.

Its win or go home time for the crew tonight as Tobias Myers is scheduled to start from

Milwaukee while Jose Quintana goes for the Mets.

First picture that contest will be at 608 and you can hear the broadcast of that game

on WRC 107.7 and AM 1450, pregame will get underway in the next four minutes at 530.

That 82 million dollar contract, Jackson, Churio signed before ever playing a majorly

game looks like more and more of a bargain with every swing the Milwaukee Brewers rookie

takes this postseason.

Churio homer twice last night to help the Brewers save their season with a five to three

victory over the Mets in game two as just mentioned.

That included a lead off homer and then a time drive to start Milwaukee's three run rally

in the eighth inning.

The Brewers handed Churio an eight year 82 million dollar contract in December when he

had played only six games beyond the double A level.

Packers coach Matt LaFlure confirmed yesterday that wide receiver Christian Watson will

avoid landing on injured reserve after suffering an ankle injury on Sunday.

In Monday, LaFlure said Watson will miss a week or so and avoiding injuring injured

reserve suggests the team thinks he'll be back within the four week window.

Watson didn't practice yesterday.

Jordan Love will play two hours from his native Bakersfield when the Green Bay Packers visit

the Rams.

She said, finally, we'll be seen in the stands at Rams owner, Jan Stan Cronkey's play

she'll stadium this weekend to Harold, the first visit by the Packers, whose most recent

game in Southern California happened a year before the Sofi opened.

On the field, the Packers will be looking to rebound from last year's lost two Minnesota

in which they fell behind twenty eight to nothing before a rally that came up short.

Rams are struggling on defense and in the red zone.

The ninth ranked Wisconsin volleyball team took care of business on the road sweeping

Rutgers twenty five eighteen twenty five fourteen and twenty five eighteen last night.

Sarah Franklin led the Badgers with twelve kills as the Badgers hit three seventy on the

night.

Wisconsin racked up seven service aces with defensive players who sold goodkin and Lola

Schumacher both chipped into a piece Charlie for for Breager put it up thirty six helpers

to pair with four kills Schumacher had a match high sixteen digs.

The Badgers are back at home on Sunday after three straight road matches to take on Washington.

And trade rumors have been swirling around Devonte Adams this week and at the Las Vegas

Raiders indeed end up moving the former Packer, Kurt Milwaukee bucks star point guard Damian

Lillard won't be too happy.

Lillard tweeted this week he'd be done with the Raiders should they trade the 31 year old

Whiteout Lillard and Oakland native has always been a vocal supporter and critic of the franchise.

Adams isn't expected to play in week five as he's formerly asked the Raiders to trade

him.
