Despite their 5-1 loss to the Phillies last night, the Brewers could still clinch the
National League Central Division title before tonight's game.
The Phillies even the series at Ampham Field last night behind Ace Wright-Hander, Zach
Wheeler and two relievers, Milwaukee was held a one run on five hits.
A Cubs loss this afternoon would mean the Brewers would be central division champions.
Pitcher Frankie Monta says the team is focused on the future.
Yeah, I feel like to be honest, the goal is not even clinching, it's to go all the way,
you know, trying to win a World Series.
But, you know, I hear a race talking about it early and say that's the first step, you
know, of course, we're happy to do that, you know, but I feel like all of us have the
same goal and it's to make it all the way, not just make it to the playoffs.
The Brewers' Reese Haskin says they want to keep focused on winning, not just focused
on winning the division.
Yeah, it's weird, right?
I actually have never been in that position.
The team that I was on that made the playoffs, we were kind of in control of our own destiny
and got to be in, got to clinch because we won again.
Obviously, tomorrow with the schedule, that's a little bit out of our control.
You still, in our eyes, I think we still have to win games here, right?
As mentioned, Oakland defeated the Cubs by a score of four or three.

The sportsbooks peg the Packers as a two and a half point underdog for Sunday's game
against the Titans in Nashville.
That's based on Malik Willis being the starting quarterback.
Willis led Green Bay to a 16 10 win at home over the Indianapolis Coles last time out.
If Jordan love returns to the field this weekend, the story changes.
One impressive stat.
Willis was surpassed by only one NFL quarterback when it came to third down passer rating recently.
The Kyler Murray beat out his seven of eight completions for 94 yards and a touchdown.
In other Packer news, Packer Rookie running back Marshawn Lloyd has been placed on injured
reserve after hurting his ankle in Sunday's game.
I'm Phil Ney with an update on Wednesday morning sports.
