Bowling continues to have meetings at the Phoenix Center and Richland Center.

The next one up will be the Merchants League, which bowls on Wednesdays.

They will have their meeting coming up Wednesday evening, starting at 6 o'clock.

Dodger's star, Mookie Bats, returned from the injured list to drive in three runs, leading

Los Angeles past the Brewers last night, 5-2.

Show Hay O'Tani also homered a long home run for the Dodger's superstar as he drove

it out of the ballpark, well over 400 feet last night.

Milwaukee got its two runs on a blast by catcher, William Contreras.

Hay Peralta took the loss, veteran left-hander Clayton Kershaw earned his first one of the

season for the Dodgers.

Here's Brewer manager, Pat Murphy.

This guy is Hall of Famer for a reason.

He'd be the first to tell you his stuff isn't as good, but he was out of pitch and that

kid behind the plate is one of the most underrated players in the game and had people all

know about him, but that kid's good and they worked together good and yeah, I haven't

seen our young guys respond that way.

You know what I mean?

I haven't seen our young guys kind of seem like the moment was a lot, you know, and little

surprise, but Kershaw was great.

He deserves everything he's going to get in this game.

Murphy feels that some of his players may have been intimidated by the future Hall of Famer,

Kershaw.

You want to swim with the sharks, you got to be willing to step up in these situations

and forget about who's on the mound.

I mean, and forget about, you know, it's baseball, it's pitch-by-pitch and I'm not disappointed

in any way.

I mean, I'm not mad at anybody or anything like that.

I just felt like we didn't have the right approach there mentally for a situation, but

it is through young guys in front of their hometown crowd and it's Kershaw, so that

means something.

The same two teams play tonight, first pitch time, 7-10 in Milwaukee on WRC E FM 107.7

and AM 1450 elsewhere in the National League, Cincinnati, 6-1 over St. Louis, Arizona 5,

Colorado 4, San Diego 2, Pittsburgh 1, Atlanta 1, nothing over San Francisco.

In the American League, Houston 6 Tampa Bay 1, Minnesota 8, Kansas City 3, Boston 5-4

over Texas, the Light Sox 12 Yankees 2, Toronto 4-2 over the Angels, and the Cubs lost by

a run to Cleveland at Final Score was 9-8.

Early details of the 24-25 NBA schedule that have leaked out, find the Bucks Opening

regular season play at Philadelphia.

This will be the third straight time for Milwaukee to tip off its season against the 76ers.

Milwaukee has won this Eastern Conference Showdown in each of the last two years.

It has already been revealed that the Bucks won't play on Christmas Day this year.

The full schedule should be announced soon.

Well the Badgers were apt up practice for the first time since 2016.

They aren't rated among the top 25 in the AP preseason College football pool.

There is, however, some respect for a pair of Utilea players on the defensive side of

the ball.

Safety Hunter Wallers and Cornerback Ricardo Holman are named to the watch list for the

Chuck Bittneric Award.

The Bittneric Award goes to the top college defender in the country.

Wallers led all big 10 defensive backs with 120 tackles last season and Holman tied for

the national lead with seven interceptions, the most by a Badger since 2017.

Rapping up practice in Plattville, coach Luke Fickle had these comments.

It has been a great 12, 13 days, whatever it's been out here.

10, 11 practices.

We've gotten the most out of what we needed to do out here.

That's from competing, that's from being together, that's from spending, and norm amount

of time without as many distractions as you can possibly have.

Overall it was a good camp.

We got to see what happens in the season, I think.

There's things that happen out here, there's time spent out here, I think is really unique,

but you don't know how tight you are until you hit those situations.

There's some things we did a little bit different.

What I would say is, I feel really good about it from what we've done in the winter and

the spring, to being back out here.

I do feel like there's a different vibe, and I mean that.

There's a competitive spirit, but there's a respect for one another where on edge it's

been.

There's some opportunities that there have become fights and things like that, but the

respect that they've got for each other to compete, I even talked about tonight.

Go out there, talk some smack, I mean this is scrimmage, you don't get this opportunity

that often.

You know, had some time off today and you got a chance to go out here and you want that

to see, do they really have that respect for each other, can they play at that level

and still be able to control themselves?

The manager's first game is August 30th.

And former Packer is quarterback Aaron Rogers doesn't think he did anything wrong by refusing

to be vaccinated against COVID-19, but he says he regrets his choice of words.

That information is included in the new book, Out of Darkness, The Mystery of Aaron Rogers

by author Ian O'Connor.

The quarterback is quoted as saying, if he could do it again, he would just tell people

of his allergy to PEG and he wasn't going to be vaccinated instead.

He let the public think he had been, then missed a game when he caught the virus.

I'm Phil Neve, that's an update on sports.
