It's a big weekend for a home talent baseball.
The playoffs get underway, Michael Hernan has more.
The home talent baseball Sunday League playoffs are set.
The section quarterfinals will take place this Sunday.
Here are the matchups starting in the Northern section.
Eight seeded Wisconsin delts will be at once seeded Sark Prairie.
Seven Mazel Manie will be at two Ashton.
Six seeded Wannake will travel to three seeded Middleton,
and number five Readsburg will go on the road
to take on number four cross planes.
In the Western section, eight seeded Blancherville will be at once seeded Dodgeville.
Seven seeded Scholesberg Benton will be at two seeded Verona.
Six seeded Arena will be at three seeded Bellville,
and number five Hollandale will travel to number four Pinebluff Mount Horub.

Nick Jennings, the Arena Home Talent Manager,
talked about how teams turn it up at playoff time.
It just seems like there's more intensity that seems to focus there
because of the magnitude of the game that you're in.
Everybody is usually ready to go,
and sometimes the 7-8-9 hitters are the guys
that you wind up looking back on after the games.
The job here for us and so it does.
It takes a complete team effort to win these playoff games,
so I think we'll be ready.
Arena at Bellville tomorrow in the first round
of the home talent baseball playoffs.
Brian Delecruz and Jake Berger,
home at off-ready Peralta in the first inning,
to put the Miami Marlins ahead for good
in a 6-2 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers last night.
Miami's Josh Bell, also in deep with an eye-thinning drive
off of Jason Junk for his 100th career hit,
Reese Hoskins-Homard for Milwaukee.
First pitch time tonight will be at 6-10.

Brewer Closer, Devon Williams appears to be on the verge
of making his season debut after missing four months
with stress fractures in his back.
Brewer's president of baseball operations, Matt Arnold,
says that we're hoping for Devon that in the next few days
if things go well, he will be back here.
Williams is struck out 6 and walked 2 without allowing
a hit in three scoreless innings during a rehabilitation assignment.
He went 8-3 with 36 saves and a 153 ERA last season
to earn his second nationally reliever of the year award.
Brewer manager, Pat Murphy, says it's inevitable
that Christian Yelich will have to undergo surgery at some point
on his ailing back, but remains optimistic
that the All-Star Outfielder can return the season.
Yelich had said Thursday at his annual charity event,
benefiting veterans and the Milwaukee community
that no surgery is planned at this point
as he attempts to work his way back from a back issue
that has landed him on the injured list twice.
A person familiar with the situation says,
Green Bay Packer is quoted back, Jordan Love has agreed
to terms at a four-year contract worth $220 million.
Also, the deal has not officially been announced.
Love has been working on the new deal with his agent.
That includes an NFL record $75 million signing bonus
and $155 million in new guarantees.
The new deal comes after Love led the NFL's youngest team
to a 10-9 record and playoff birth last season
in his first year as a starter
while stepping up to the challenge
of replacing four-time MVP Aaron Rogers.
The 2020 quarterback draft class is well on its way
to being the highest paid group of quarterbacks
from any draft in NFL history.
The quintet of quarterbacks taken in the top two rounds
four years ago also had a chance at being
the most prolific as well.
With the new deal for Love,
a total of five quarterbacks taken in the first two rounds
four years ago agreed to contracts and terms
of a span of less than 16 months
that are worth more than $1.2 billion.
Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert and Jalen Hurt signed deals
worth more than $250 million each last offseason.
Thousands of former college athletes will be eligible
for payments ranging from a few dollars
to more than a million under the $2.78 billion
antitrust settlement agreed to by the NCAA
and five power conferences.
The deal also paves the way for schools
to directly compensate athletes
while attempting to regulate payments from boosters.
The document was filed in federal court
in the Northern District of California
a little more than two months after the framework
of an agreement was announced.
The deal must still be approved by a judge.
