WRCO Sports is sponsored this evening by Schwartz Insurance, your Wilson Mutual Insurance
Agency, and Lakes Gas Company, serving customers all over America's Great Midwest with reliable
propane services and great prices since 1959.
In Sports, Box Forward, Chris Middleton is expected to be ready to go when the NBA season
starts this fall.
Wilson is recovering from anthroposcopic surgeries on both ankles now.
Those operations are called cleanup surgeries following several previous procedures.
The Milwaukee Star Play just 88 games last two seasons, despite another injury suffered
during playoff game two of the series against the Pacers.
The soon to be 33 year old Middleton still averaged 24.7 points, just over nine rebounds
and almost five assists a game.
Former Badger offensive lineman Casey Raba is being moved to an assistant coaching position.
Casey has been serving as UW's director of scouting.
He played for Wisconsin from 1996 to 2000 while earning all big 10 and 13 all American
honors.
He played 10 years in the NFL with the Ravens and Redskins.
He now will assist new offensive line coach AJ Blazik Blasik, who has opened eyes with
his energetic approach to revamping the one dominant feature of the Wisconsin football
team.
Former Packer wide receiver Devonte Adams says he has sent it with conviction he's staying
in Las Vegas despite all the rumors.
Adams agent has called it all baseless unfounded speculation according to a report on the Sports
Illustrated website.
However, Adams says one player could get him to leave quarterback Aaron Rogers of the
New York Jets.
Adams says he wants people to know that he's not the one driving the narrative and he doesn't
expect to leave the Raiders.
Former pro ball receiver Randall Cobble joined the SEC network as a college football studio
analyst.
But the 13 year NFL veteran says he's not officially retired from a standout career spent
mostly with the Green Bay Packers.
ESPN announced the hiring of the 33 year old Cobb and a news release on Thursday.
Although the release post and online did not mention retirement, ESPN reported on its
website that the initial announcement said Cobb had retired.
Cobb clarified his status in a social media post.
Cobb has 630 receptions for 7,624 yards and 54 touchdowns for four teams.
And the Brewers have made a roster move during the All Star break and won't immediately
affect who's wearing the uniform when the team returns to action this weekend.
The team's front office reports it has added AAA outfielder Brewer Hicklin to the 40
man roster and optioned him the AAA.
Hicklin has a 0.95 OPS and 19 homers in 72 games at that level.
In a matching move, third baseman Oliver Dunn has been transferred to the 60 day injured
list.
Dunn has hit 221 with one home run in 7 RBIs and 41 games this season.
For WRCO Sports, I'm Bill Hendrix.
