WRC Sports, I'm Phil Ne. There's plenty of high school competition this afternoon in
baseball and softball, and the WIAA State track and field meet gets underway tomorrow at
the University of Wisconsin-Lacros. Former Badger shooting guard AJ Stora will return
to college basketball this winter to play for the Kansas J-Hawks, Stora officially withdrew
his name from the 24 NBA draft Sunday. He had kept his college eligibility intact when
he declared for the draft following last season. Stora has given credit for Wisconsin's
strong season and offensive firepower. He averaged almost 17 a game and four rebounds.
He had a promising season as a rookie linebacker, now Lucas Van Ness, as a couple of months to
recover from a broken finger, suffered during organized team activities. Packer's coach
Matt LaFloris says the break is only in the tip of the finger. Van Ness closed out his
first professional season on a high note. He finished with eight tackles for loss and
for sex. Training camp starts for the Packers on July 26th. And Marquette volleyball coach
Ryan Ties has added a new assistant director of operations. Michaela in Carnazion comes
to the Golden Eagles from Division 2 University of Wisconsin Parkside in Kenosha. I'm Phil
