In baseball action last night, it was an extra in an affair, and it was our featured broadcast
on WRC-O.
Phil Newell was there.
Dodgeville won a wild game 10-9 in high school baseball from the Southwest Conference over
River Valley in a game played at Centennial Park in Dodgeville.
It was going River Valley's way as they built an eight-nothing lead after the three and
a half fittings that were played, but Dodgeville scored five times in the fourth.
River Valley would add a run in the seventh inning at the time.
It seemed like that was insurance and leading nine five, but Dodgeville scored four times
in the bottom of the seventh on just one hit to tie the game.
The game went extras, and Dodgeville scored the winning run in the eighth inning on an
error to win it by a score of 10-9.
They made a winner out of Caden Holtzman who came on in relief.
Joey Honourbaum started the game for Dodgeville and Aiden Murphy pitched the middle innings
for River Valley.
Quincy Blakely started the game.
Kagan Heiser worked the sixth and seventh and Clyde Samples pitched the eighth.
The Black Hawks with that big lead that was built up by some good hitty, including a two
RBI double by Abbott Millinowski and RBI for Caden Plumley and Chase Gilbertson, single
and scored in the second inning.
Dodgeville's comeback was led by Noah Pitts who got the Dodgers on the board with a solo
home run in the fourth inning.
Also, a couple of key RBI's in the seventh inning, one of those from Nathan Johnson.
The winning run scored from Aiden Murphy in the eighth inning after walking, going to
second on a block, and scoring on an error.
Dodgeville picked up the win and improved to seven and eight.
They are six and two in the Southwest Wisconsin conference.
River Valley, they fall to six and seven and they are five and three in the Southwest
Wisconsin conference.
Once again, the final 10 runs and 10 hits for Dodgeville, six errors, River Valley nine
runs, nine hits, six errors on the night, the game went eight innings and Dodgeville
was a winner.

The Riverdale Chief Jins held on to defeat basketball by a score of six to three on Friday
night in baseball.
Chase Chitwood picked up the win.
He went five strong innings, gave up just one hit and struck out 11 Andre Tainter and
Carson Canyon would pitch the final two innings to nail down the victory.
Andre Tainter and the drone Logan Cagle and Wyatt Storms all drove in runs on the night.
The Chief Jins are now six and two in conference eight and five overall with the six three win
over basketball on Friday night.
After baseball finals, it was Lancaster over Richland Center six to five.
It was the Infectable dogs hosting the Brookwood Falcons and non-conference baseball action
last night heading to the bottom of the seventh inning.
The unbeaten home team, Infectable dogs trailed Brookwood seven to six two outs in their
final inning and they loaded the bases.
Wyatt, he'll be stepped to the plate and he hit a long, long left field Grand Slam home
run.
He gave the Infectable dogs that come from behind non-conference win 10-7 over Brookwood.
Verokwa blank loser for nothing, Potosi Casville over Argyle Blackhawk, five nothing.
Barnabelle's five River Ridge one and Watome over Wisconsin Dells seven to four.
In softball action, the hosting Infectable dogs picked up a nine to two win over Brookwood
last night.
Brookwood scored the first two runs of the game in the first inning and then winning
pitcher Olivia Young scattered five hits after and the bulldogs held on nine to Holly
King went two for four with a couple of runs knocked in Olivia Young one for two.
Josie Lau and Kaylee New Kirk along with Kaylee Manning all went one for three.
The Kaylee's both New Kirk and Manning each had two RBI's in that victory.
Drill Boschabell over Phenomore by a final of five to four and DeSoto.
They downed North Crawford 10 to nine.

Today is a big day in high school sports as there is a lot of action during the day.
Starting off the day and track and field is the Ginger Mori Invitational hosted by River
Dale.
The teams that are participating in the meet are Riverdale themselves Cuba City Phenomore
Wanawak Center Casabell DeSoto Argyle Ithaca Kikapu North Crawford Richland Center New
Lisbon Seneca and Bozika Stuben.
The meet will start at 10 o'clock a.m.
An area baseball action today's games are Boschabell at Hillsboro Royal against Boston
at the Woodside Sports Complex in Boston, Mandovi against Royal in Boston, Eliva Strum against
Verrocua in Baldwin and Baldwin Woodville against Verrocua in Baldwin.
An area softball action Riverdale will be hosting a tournament that will have four teams.
The teams are Riverdale themselves Wanawak Center, Pacatánica and the Kusa.
The first games of the tournament will be Wanawak Center against Riverdale and the Kusa
against Pacatánica.
The games will start at 9 o'clock a.m.
Afterwards the winners of the games will play each other and the losers will play each
other.
In other softball action, Ithaca will travel to Seneca.

William Contreras hit an RBI single during Milwaukee's three run a thinning in the Brewers
won their first game against former manager Crate Council by beating the Chicago Cubs
three to one in the windy city yesterday.
Chicago's Hayden-Wasneski pitch scoreless ball into the seventh and Christopher Morrell
homeward for the third time in five games, but the Brewers used a late rally to open
a weekend series against the NL Central's top teams on a winning note.
The Brewers came out on top with manager Pat Murphy serving the second of a two-game
suspension for his role in a brawl with Tampa Bay on Tuesday.
The Brewers maintained first place position in the Central.
They pick up a win three to one.
Same two teams will battle today from Chicago on our sister station on WRCO AM 1450

review of the season.
And finally today Aaron Rogers is on track to be back on the field for the New York
Jets without any restrictions in just a few weeks.
Head man Robert Salas said Friday after the teams first day of rookie mini camp practices
that Rogers has looked good as he continues to work his way back months after tearing
his left Achilles tendon in his debut.
The Jets begin organized team activities called phase three of all season workouts on
May 20th when they can hold non-contact 11 on 11 girls during practice and Rogers if
an attendance for the voluntary sessions should be able to participate fully.
