Last 19 sectional rustling action was hosted by River Valley, the Division II Sectional
C, it was Prairie Ducine 54-19 over Belleville, Monticello, New Glarris, and G.T. Merrillos
Menduro beat Lodi 37-26 in match 1 and 2.
The final saw Prairie Ducine advances state after a 49-27 win over Gale-Etrich-Trempello
Merrillos Menduro.
In three hosted by Phenomore last night, Aquinas was a winner over Iowa Grant Highland
48-28, Phenomore 42-0 over Royal Waniwak Center, and Phenomore was a winner against Aquinas
44-25 in D3.
Girls basketball, the Scholesberg Lady Miners, logged to 67-42 in over Richland Center last
night.
They never trail in the way to a 45-17-half time lead.
The Hornets outscored their opponent in the second half, and played much improved
throughout.
They matched Scholesberg making 6-3 pointers.
Olivia Brown led Scholesberg with 19, Camden Russell had 16, including 4-3s, Taylor Russell
scored 12, the Lady Miners were 11-4-19 from the free-throw line.
Richland Center was led in scoring by Ella Weiss with 12, Carly Maiden had 11, Chloe
Darling 8, Kylie Burns 6, Addy Board had 3, and Lily Lassike scored 2.
The Hornets were 4-4-8 from the line.
Scholesberg won the JV game 36-17.
Following the 67-42 varsity win, Scholesberg is now 8-15 on the season.
They will face Highland on Thursday night.
The Hornets still winless on the campaign, will host Plattville on Thursday night for
the last Southwest Conference game of the season, the WIA Girls Basketball Tournament
begins next Tuesday.
The Hornets will play the Weston JV team coming up on Friday night as well.

It went double over time before the Bulldogs claimed the victory.
Channing Brown had 29, Micah Cellsbury 17, and Sammy Clary 12, Arlin Walter had 25 for
Kikapoo and Rye Gurkey 18.
Cellsbury in the Ridge and Valley, DeSoto 66, Seneca 63, Wozika Stuban got a 55-54 win
over LaFarge, and a win for North Crawford over Weston 56-38, leading scores for Weston,
Garrett Granger with eight, Colton Newman and Trevor Westfall with six of peace, Isaac
Jennings and Alex Hass five, Garrett Jennings and Logan Bingham each scored four on the
night for the Silver Eagles.
Elsewhere, Riverdale was a winner in the SWA L over Boschabell 66-56, the Cheapton's

win at Butler last night. The Golden Eagles have won eight straight, leading up to an important
showdown on the road this weekend at Big E's conference leading Yukon. It was Marquette taking
the victory, Butler closed within a bucket at 64-62 with four minutes left,
but could not take the lead. Marquette frails Yukon in the conference standings by two games.
Stephen Crowell and H.A. Store each contributed double doubles as the Badgers broke their four
game losing streak at home against Ohio State last night. Wisconsin claimed below Scorning Game,
62-54. Crowell had 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Store chipped in 14 points,
and a dozen rebounds. UW-owned the boards 39-29, while improving its Big Ten conference record
to nine and five. After being ranked as high as six the late last month, the Badgers have dropped
to 20th in the polls. Last night overall, Chuck E. Hepburn led the way. Here's Coach Greg
Garne. I thought he was terrific defensively played 39 minutes, you know, just the matchup with
Thornton is what we, you know, obviously that's his matchup, and I thought he did a terrific job
of really working him all night, and he really had to work for, you know, to take 19 shots to get
18 points. Yeah, so, and then the 7 assists, no turnovers. And Garne says the outside shooting helped.
The quality of the shot is always something you look at, and I think the thing that changed
or was better tonight as we played more through the post. So you're getting higher quality looks

what is the quality of the shot? The shot quality was better tonight, and the difference was we played

Jimmy Butler. Miami road hot shooting to the win, connecting on 52% from the field. Milwaukee
was playing without Chris Middleton, who missed a fourth straight game with a serious ankle injury.
The bucks play on the road at Memphis coming up on Thursday night elsewhere last night on
the scoreboard for NBA action. It was Boston, 118 Brooklyn 110 Oklahoma City over Orlando, 127,
113 Minnesota, 121 Portland, 109 Phoenix, 130 Sacramento, 125. Lakers got the win against Detroit,
125, 111. Elsewhere in college men's basketball, a win for Illinois over Michigan, 97, 268. It was
also a win for Syracuse upsetting number seven North Carolina, 86 to 79. The Brewers made two
roster moves, suggesting they are heading in maybe two opposite directions. First, they sign
sluggish res Hoskins to the biggest free agent deal in franchise history. Then a few days later,
they traded Sy Young Award winner Corbin Burns to the Orioles with starter Brandon Woodruff already
gone. It's hard to name a rotation right now, an area that has been a strength in the recent past.
It would help a lot of Aaron Ashby could bounce back from a lost season and new starter Jacob
Junus could extend his good work for the Giants over 86 innings to something closer to 180 innings.
The answers will come during spring training, which starts to get underway today in Arizona.
