Dodgeville at Evansville, Darlington will take on West Salem at Prairie Dushin, North Crawford
at Black River Falls, River Valley at Lakeside Lutheran, and Kickapoo visits Riverdale.
Riverdale coach Chris Kenyon talked about how it's gone for his team recently.
We're kind of winding down and wanting to play our best basketball.
You're playing on a Monday night not always easy to do and playing from the Richland Valley and
Kickapoo and what do you know about them, Chris? Well, I think they're pretty similar
team to us. They're balanced, scoring wise. They do have some size, they have a couple bigger
bigger forwards and then they got a couple of good guards. So I think they're probably a very
similar team to us. You know, the thing we do have this year is some size that we can help
go up against their size. So you know, it should be a good matchup.

lacrosse Central over Saw Query 64 51 reads Berg 56 52 over Mauston,
Mahara beat Turner 70 to 62 in girls basketball royal over Blair Taylor 58 to 35
and Edgewood beat Barnabelle 56 to 30 Dodgeville over Potosi Casville 87 to 39.
Lots of great wrestling over the weekend as the conference turn of the weekend was held
at lots of conferences across the state of Wisconsin. At Kickapoo on Saturday royal was the top
team. They scored 198 points. New Lisbon was second with 133. Ithaca Weston 122 took third
for Ithaca Weston after winning five conference titles in a row at scenic ridge. They were
appended on Saturday. The team wrestled shorthanded as they missed two regulars from the lineup and
a third left early because of illness. Looking at some of the place winners in highlights,
Jeren Grims led at North Crawford. Seneca was a champion at 106 pounds and Aiden Grunenfelder of
Pecatanica Argyle picked up his third conference title. He won it at 113 on Saturday for Ithaca Weston
Carrick Thompson was third at 106 pounds. Ethan Stoll took second at 120. Blake Bingham of Ithaca
Weston was third at 126 pounds. At 157, Nolan Waldener was one of two champions for Ithaca Weston.
It was Logan Anderson taking second place at 165 pounds. Kaley Manning took fifth at 190.
And a champion at 215 was Caleb Berkram for Ithaca Weston. They will be involved in the
big tournament coming up this weekend. The regional hosted at Mineral Point High School,
the super regional in area division three action. Also on Saturday at Mineral Point High School,
there were 30 wrestlers at the meet that were rated in the top six rankings and seven number one
rated wrestlers. Bill Twining has more on how it went on Saturday at Mineral Point.
Here are the team scores from the clash on Saturday. I have a Grand Highland totaled 264 points
to 228 and a half for Prairie de Sheen and 224 for Fennamore. Host Mineral Point was a close
fourth place. Seven points back with 217 while Darlington Blackhawk was fifth with 157 and a half.
Running out to scoring in the 13 team event where Cubicity Benton Southwestern,
Lancaster, 8th place Riverdale with 125 and a half points followed by Dodgeville,
Belmont Plattville, River Valley, Richland Center, and Bosca Belwazika Stuban.
Fennamore did lead the way with four individual champions while Dodgeville had three.
Team champion I have a Grand Highland along with Darlington Blackhawk each had two winners,
while Prairie de Sheen, Mineral Point, and Cubicity Benton Southwestern all had one.
Here's a look at how area teams fared Saturday at the all SWAL, SWC conference wrestling clash.
For Richland Center and Coach Silas Coleman, Senior Teague Perkins was unavailable to wrestle,
but Junior Ethan Hady led the way with a runner-up finish at 113 pounds,
posting his 100th career victory in the quarterfinal round.
Senior Cole Breninger was next with a third place medal at 190,
while both sophomore Ethan Bodendine at 157 and junior braiding clappy at 285 placed sixth.
Senior Emma Hady won three matches, including two by fall and placed seventh at 106 pounds.
Friday night in the debut, all girls clash tournament, Richland Center's lone
Intrant, sophomore Madeline Muller won all three matches at a conference championship at one
had been 32 pounds. For River Valley and coaches Dan McEvick and TJ1A Key, the Blackhawks were
wrestling without Junior Noah Radke, but did have four wrestlers place led by Junior Wyatt
Nockriner's third place effort at 150 pounds. Sophomore's Ben Reese at 113 and Mason Schulte at 138,
both place fourth, while yet another sophomore Blake Brickle placed seventh at 175.
On Friday night for the River Valley girls Montana Joles won a championship,
Aubrey Conway and Cheyenne Reese were runners-up and Olive Corbett placed third in the girls tournament.
Riverdale and coach Jeff Capbell were missing three stalwarts from the lineup, Riley Wannock,
Caden Renish and Treston Renish. A pair of chieftains reached the finals on Saturday,
but both finished second. Sophomore's Brody Mease at 126 and Grant Matthews at 285.
Senior Sean Duffy took home a third place medal at 138 pounds, while Sophomore Terry Sage was
fourth at 106. Other Riverdale place winners were freshman Lakota Brewer fifth at 120 pounds,
and Junior's Jordan Bomp Camp at 113 and Talon Childs at 165, who both placed seventh.
Bosque Bellwazika Stuban and coach Lance Wetter had just four wrestlers in the lineup at the
clash, leading the way for the Bulldogs with Sophomore Jobwater, who won his final two matches and
placed fifth at 157. Dodgeville came away with three individual champions for coaches Ryan
Lorde and Rod Muller, sweeping the first three-way classes behind Shane Rashan, Hawken Peterson,
and Charlie Mite. The only other place winners for the Dodgers was Sophomore Nathan Johnson,
fourth at 132. Friday night at the girls' clash, Dodgeville had conference champs in Avalor
and Sierra Davenport, while Brielle Walmer placed fourth. Finally for team champion, I have a
Grant Highland two champs led the way on Saturday, Sophomore Hunter Stevens and Senior Elliot Beba.
Junior's Tyson M Hoff at 150 and Bodie Brock Hoppe of 215, each finished as runners up.
Three teammates won their third place matches, freshman Brock Hinderman, Sophomore Jackson Bussey,
and Senior Emerson Moan, freshman Max Kelly and junior Gavin Hinderman, each placed fourth.
Junior Bronson McCone was fifth and three teammates, Jason Cottern, Lucas Christensen and Darin
Lofenberg, all placed sixth for Avalor Grant Highland, which saw 13 wrestlers place anywhere from
first through sixth place. Repeating Avalor Grant Highland took the team championship Saturday at
the 35th annual all SWAL SWC conference wrestling clash hosted by mineral point high school.
Junior Owen Seprude of Darlington Blackhawk at 144 pounds was named the turnoence most
outstanding wrestler. Lancaster's girls team captured the team title at the girls' clash
on Friday evening. Next year's clash is being planned for Prairie Dushin High School.

Thanks Bill. Well, youth bowling from over the weekend, the top girl series,
the Phoenix Center Saturday morning, Jocelyn Adams with a 422. She had a 180 high game.
For the boys, Kaden Keller with a 564, the 559 was rolled by Dakota Paul's and Darin Nelson had
a 503. Top game Dakota Paul's a 217, Kaden Keller a 213, and Darin Nelson a 204 in youth bowling.
Well, the managers suffered their second straight Big Ten conference loss on the afternoon,
dropping a home game to Purdue 75 to 69. Tyler Wall produced a season I 20 points to go with seven
rebounds and five assists. The team's usual score, AJ Storr, could hit only four of 15 field goal
attempts for 14 points. The visiting boilermakers disappointed the home crowd by taking control in
the first half and leading the rest of the way. Wisconsin cut the margin to two points at 5957.
That was with about 446 to play, but they were never able to go ahead. The badgers will try to get
back on the winning track Wednesday when they play at Michigan. Here's Badger Coach Greg Garne.
If you want to be at the highest level, you want to play a championship basketball, you have to be
on point and you can't get away with, you can't against some teams. You know, you can get away
with shot selection, get away with being loose at the ball. You can get away with not defensive
rebounding well enough and that's the, you know, the challenge this group is like, hey, now we know
what we need to get better at. The team fired a lot of misses from three point land. You know, I'll let
a few heat check shots go when shots before that have gone down, but when we're heat checking and
then we haven't gotten any heat, then we can't heat check, you know, and if you're on a roll,
you got a heater going. I'll let a few, let a few fly, but when you don't and we're not as a team
on a roll, then we got to dial that back and fine tune what we're, what our decisions are.
Also yesterday in the big 10 number 14 illinois beat Nebraska 87 to 84. A fourth quarter collapse,
doomed the box to their third loss in four games. Sunday, Utah outscored Milwaukee 40 to 13
in the ugly fourth quarter to claim a 123 108 win. Yannis out to the Cumpos scored 33 points
and dished out 13 assists. Bobby Portis had a 27 as the bucks play without starters,
Brooke Lopez and Chris Middleton. Milwaukee had leads of up to 19 points and was up by a dozen
entering the final 12 minutes. It has lost three out of the four games under new coach Doc Rivers,
the bucks play at Phoenix against the suns coming up on Tuesday. Orlando was a winner against
Detroit 1 11 99 Phoenix over Washington 140 to 112 Boston beat Memphis 131 91 Indiana 115 Charlotte 99.
The Clipper is beat Miami 103 to 95. It was Minnesota 11 to 90 over Houston, Oklahoma City won
a double overtime over Toronto 135 127 and Denver over Portland 112 103. The Wisconsin men's hockey team
salvaged one point in the standings by claiming a shootout win over the Minnesota Go for his Saturday.
The crowd of 15,359 that filled the Cole Center was the largest attendance for a college hockey
game this season and the Badgers first home sell out in five years. Wisconsin's next action is
Friday and Saturday when Notre Dame visits and after nine years is the mostly backup NFL quarterback
