According to Vernon County Sheriff Roy Torgerson, the crash occurred at approximately 8.30 a.m.
along State Highway 82 between Newburn Avenue and Canyon Avenue in the town of Union.

Passersby and a local farm family also stopped to render immediate assistance prior to

Governor Tony Evers announced that the Wisconsin State Building Commission has approved approximately $254 million in funding for key state-owned facility projects.
This allocation targets critical infrastructure updates, campus enhancements, and modernizations across multiple Wisconsin counties, reflecting an ongoing effort to invest in the state's educational and community resources.
A major highlight of the approved package is a public-private partnership at the University of Wisconsin-Madison to construct two modern residence halls.
Built on state land, this private development will offer around 1,690 student beds and a 400-seat dining facility, addressing long-standing campus housing shortages and reducing reliance on temporary accommodations by fall, 2029.
Significant improvements are also slated for state care and defense facilities.
The Winnebago Mental Health Institute will receive utility and service tunnel updates to ensure secure infrastructure for the Wisconsin Resource Center.
In addition, the Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs will see remodeling at the Madison Readiness Center alongside funding releases to complete design plans for a new Readiness Center in Wisconsin Rapids.
Vital statistics right after this.
Monday's Roundup.
Brought to you by Chets, Feed, Seed and Such, Richland Hospital, Cardinal Glass CG, and by New Tech Carts.
It's joke day with Phil and Hank, so brace yourself.
These jokes aren't just corny, they're full-on field-tested.
If you're groaning, laughing, or questioning your life choices, you're doing it right.
It's Monday's Roundup.
Making Mondays just a little less Monday-y.
It's time for the roundup
What's going on brother, how you doing young man
doing alright,
I see the barbers kids hanging around again, does
he
wonder if I don't know if he has a joke
Boy, he looks, he looks like he brought his Halloween mask.
What?
Hey, that
was kind of cruel
there.
Hi,
Barber Son.
How you
doing?
I'm good, buddy, and you?
I'm good.
I don't know if I told this one on the air yet or not, but what kind of pants does a ghost wear?
No, a holy pants.
Just a pair of normals.
Oh, my gosh.
In case I told it, I'll give you a bonus.
What is a vampire's favorite fruit?
A nectarine.
A nectarine.
Good
one,
good one.
All right.
Ladies and gentlemen,
the barber's kid.
Yeah.
That's the first one that I've actually answered from him.
Yeah.
That's good.
And he can fire them off.
Boom, boom, boom, boom.
You're on top of your game.
Yeah.
How you doing, buddy?
I'm well.
Absolutely.
Good weekend.
Had a good weekend.
We saw a really good football game on
Friday night.
Oh my, I'm going to say just a little bit like, okay, I have never seen a high school team hit like Ithaca does.
That's right.
I think this might be the hardest hitting team that I have seen Ithaca West I have through
the years.
And you know what I've done?
Uh, several D two and D three games this year.
Never have I seen a team hit like they do.
Yeah.
Waterloo was ready to kind
of
give it up at the
end.
They were just because I think they were tired.
Um, they're tired, probably getting punished.
And that being said, a Black Hawk warning likes to do the same.
It's gonna be a good game on Friday night.
Great ball game.
Yep.
And just to let everybody know, if you own a business, now's the time to give me a call.
I have five openings.
There you go.
He's always working it.
He's
always working
it.
Got to go, Phil.
There you go.
Got
to go.
Anyway.
And then volleyball was a good match between Richland Center and River Valley.
River Valley coming out on Saturday.
So River Valley faces Verroqua Thursday.
That'll be a good one.
I've never seen this before, but in the beginning of the game, they were playing the national anthem off a laptop.
Yes.
And it froze up.
Really?
Like moments into it.
And everybody was just kind of standing there.
And one of the river valley players started singing and everybody started
saying that's kind of
cool.
And the entire crowd saying left to find
the kudos.
But I mean, and the singing
was pretty good too.
I'm like, well, that was, that was impromptu, but it wasn't there.
It was really cool.
No, no, if you'd have been there, we'd probably wouldn't have been able to give that high of a review today.
But you know what that, you know, another thing Friday night, those, that those girls.
at Ithaca.
What a job.
Nice national anthem.
If you were up early this morning at five o'clock with Phil, you would have heard it.
Yeah, we replayed it, didn't we?
That is awesome.
Yeah, what a great tribute to them.
Anyway, Go Bru Crew.
Go Bru Crew.
Yeah, absolutely.
They've become Wisconsin's team, I think.
I think they've become America's team for it.
Yeah, I really do.
It's, and you know, Saturday, I don't mean to, they're down for nothing.
Was that Saturday?
Yeah,
Saturday night.
Some of
the faithful had their towels over their faces like, oh, no, I'm like, come on guys, have you watched them all year?
And I was one of those with the towels over my head.
Yeah.
And it's just like, they just won't stop.
I'm not allowed to say gritty.
Yeah.
But it's just, they believe there's, you know, yeah, absolutely.
Yeah, just amazing.
Boy, can they, can they, I don't know what else to say.
And again, I picked them in four, you and I, you had them in five, I think.
I think so.
Somebody said, well, I'd like to see them come back and play the last one in Milwaukee.
Like,
come on.
Nope.
Shut up.
Let's just win it.
If you got a chance to win it, win it.
Don't,
don't let the other team catch fire.
Yeah.
Right.
If you got a chance to win it.
Cause if they win
two in Tampa Bay, we're going
to have.
Or they're in trouble.
Not in trouble, but I'm just saying they're, you know, we have work to do.
Right.
The Milwaukee really needs to get the nice game.
Fastball Freddy's on the
mound.
I know.
They're old friend.
They're old friend.
Yeah, we'll see what happens.
He still
really liked him at walking.
Oh, yeah.
He was a fan for the team.
Just like Bobby Porter's was for the Bucks.
Yeah, right.
So I like Bobby.
But anyway, hey, what do you call witches?
What do witches call for a for a in a hotel room?
What do witches call for in a hotel room?
Broom service.
It is room service.
Hey, I'm not bad
either.
Yeah, not bad.
Not, but we have some, we have some jokes that we have to say because of Halloween jokes.
What is the problem with twin witches?
I don't know.
You never know which is which.
Oh, yeah.
My, uh-huh.
Today's Chet's Chucklespot probably sponsored by Chet's Chuckles, feed and seed and such.
Something like that.
Something like that.
What did one bat say to the other bat?
You got bats in your belfry.
Oh, I want to hang out.
Oh, I want to hang out.
I want to hang out.
Yeah, those are not, not so good.
I can't, I can't really read the punchline.
If you just, if you just say the joke, I'll read the punchline for you.
What is Frankenstein's favorite dance?
Oh, that's the monster mash.
The monster mash.
Yes.
I'm
surprised that hasn't been on the radio yet.
What did the ghost say to his wife?
You look.

I
don't
know.
Squash.
Squash.
Oh boy.
That's something else there.
Halloween flavored funnies.
Anyway, I got a question for you.
What is the most childish thing you still enjoy, Phil?
Just one.
Just one.
Just one.
Well, we had a family reunion yesterday and they didn't know I was coming.
You know, they think they kind of tried to plan around, but I showed up, but I brought a whoopee cushion.
You
did.
I really did.
Yeah.
No slinky or anything.
No, no, no.
Just a whoopee cushion.
Put it
on one of my cousin's chairs.
And the problem was it was a, it was a fluorescent yellow one.
So
they sought.
Was it the little ones?
Yeah.
It was a little fluorescent, you know, and they, and they said, they gave me some constructive criticism.
You got to get one that's, that blends into the chairs.
It's got to be darker.
So I should work on that.
Yeah.
Maybe.
Anyway, you might be from Arkansas, Phillip.
If you currently have splinters in your fingers, no, look at mine.
There's one there and I have one there and one there.
I have three.
Wow.
Yeah.
So you just leave them there for posterity or what?
Well, until they come out.
Oh, you just let them go.
I lift out three in that one.
Did you see that
one?
You've got more stick to this and me.
I'll sit there and I'll like push it all day.
Push that all the way down to the bone.
Yeah.
Keep going.
Yeah.
We'll be right back with more from our joke file.

Exactly.
Your daily dilemma, Phillip.
Oh, he got about that.

Okay.
Uh, it's, it's really neat.
You didn't hire somebody from basketball with a broom just to go out there and start sweeping.
No, I was going to hire Joanne to wreck the leaves out of the trees, but she, you know, she broke her arm.
Well, now that she's, you know, semi almost retired, she's got time.
She's
