The Iowa County Communications Center received a report of wires down near the 700 block of Ross Street in the city of Mineral Point, the Mineral Point Fire Department, Mineral Point EMS, Mineral Point.
Police Department and Alliant Energy responded to the scene.
No injuries were reported, and shortly after the noon hour, the Iowa County Communications Center received a report of a two-vehicle crash near North Becket Street and Mean Circle in the city of Dodgeville.
The Dodgeville Fire Department, Dodgeville EMS, Dodgeville Police Department, and Iowa County Sheriff's Deputy responded to the scene.
Individuals involved in the accident were transported to a local hospital for further evaluation.
Madison's mayor issued a statement on a protest encampment at the site of this month's fatal shooting of a man by police.
Mayor Sadia Rhodes Conway says the conditions of an encampment at the intersection of the city's Near East Side are not safe nor sustainable.
The mayor releasing a statement as protesters have been at the site for over a week.
In the aftermath of the shooting that left 38-year-old Corey
Ruiz dead.
The mayor cites a lack of bathrooms at the site, food preparation without refrigeration, sinks and other basics, and she says the streets being blocked impedes fire and EMS response.
Governor Tony Evers recently announced the issuance of 210 new pardons, bringing his total pardons granted during his administration to 2,237.
Governor Evers highlighted the significance of the pardon as an official act of forgiveness, acknowledging the efforts of recipients to pay their debts to society and turn their lives around.

Rock and Roll Reunion 2026 is currently underway at Woodman Village Park.
This is the 16th year of the annual event, which features many local artists and groups performing a wide variety of music.
Roddy Dull is one of the performers and an organizer of the event.
We have about 30 musicians and some of those are involved in collaborations with different bands on the same day.
We mix it up really, really good and when it comes to genres, we've covered all the bases.
We've got some big band type music and we've got country and a little bluegrass and folk and some rock and roll, some blues and we've got it all mixed up to please just about every music
appreciator that there is out there.
The event features great music and plenty of food throughout the day.
Each group plays about a half an hour and then there's about a 10 minute switch over time and it's non-stop music until pushing nine o'clock at night.
You know we used to try to cook simple food on our own and we'd do burgers and hot dogs mostly and this year we have somebody catering the entire event.
So I think they've got pulled pork and they've got barbecue and chili dogs, but they're also serving full meals with salad and everything there.
So it takes a big burden off of me, but it's also gonna really enhance this event going forward that we can get that kind of service for the food.
Each year money raised at Rock and Roll Reunion goes to a great cause, including this year's recipients.
This year we are donating all of the money to local immigrants and we are donating the money through the free clinic in Bosquebell and through the Head Start CAP program.
It's kind of cool.
You know, we have immigrants that we work around every day in our farming communities and restaurants.
And sometimes I don't think they have some of the same opportunities as some of us that were born and raised here.
And so that was what we decided to do this year.
Money for this year's cause will be raised from sales at the event and through the generosity of those who attend.
It's a free event, you know, as far as admission goes.
So you can bring your own chair, bring your own beverage.
We encourage people to try and buy, you know, all their soft drinks and their food there because a percentage of that food comes back to our cause.
But the main way we raise money is from the sale of t-shirts or just from plain donations.
And we truly appreciate those and accept those graciously.

Grant County authorities responded to two separate single vehicle accidents this week involving local wildlife and resulting in hospitalizations.
The first incident occurred Tuesday morning in Woodman Township.
Jeffrey McKinney, a 61-year-old resident of Rock Island, Illinois, was traveling northbound on Highway 133 in a 2024 van.
Near the intersection with County K, McKinney swerved to avoid a rabbit, which caused the vehicle to veer into a ditch.
The van subsequently struck a culvert and crossed the roadway before hitting an embankment, sustaining disabling damage.
McKinney was transported by Boscobel EMS to Gundersen Boscobel Area Hospital for treatments of possible injuries and received a citation for failure to maintain control.
Just two days later on Thursday, emergency crews were called to Platteville Township for a motorcycle crash involving a deer.
Autumn rider 20 of Potosi was traveling south on Highway 151 on a Honda 2025 CMX 300 when the collision occurred near Major Lane.
The impact ejected rider from her motorcycle, causing serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
She was transported to Southwest Health Center for medical care,

My wife and I went out for a UTV ride on Sunday and we went out past the fairgrounds up Cooper Hill and out Hustlers Ridge by Sunset Orchard.
There were turkeys everywhere.
Yes, the population has really done well in the last couple of years.
And if you're a real avid turkey hunter, you know that Wisconsin has some of the best turkey hunting.

And the populations have not done as well in other parts of the country, out west and even in the southeast.
The turkey populations are facing some tough times, but here in Wisconsin we're doing really well.
I actually got a phone call, John, about 10 days ago from an old friend from my hunting industry days, who's Alex Rutledge from Missouri, who's a very well-known turkey hunt, wanting to know where he could hunt birds in Richland County.
Okay, there's plenty of places.
We have a lot of public land and for out of state people, they generally have to hunt the later seasons.
We have six different seasons and usually most of the landowners and their friends are done hunting.
So they'll be able to find some private land as well.

Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson accepted Police Chief Sean Barnes' letter of resignation this week and appointed Deputy Chief Andre Sales to serve as Interim Chief.
Both men previously led departments in Southeast Wisconsin.
Barnes is in Madison and Sales in Beloit.
Barnes on the job in Seattle for just a year and a half had faced criticism in recent days for not being in Seattle when a mass shooting happened.

Sales is also a recent hire in Seattle, having left his job as chief in Beloit last June.
Deaths were discovered during a welfare check.
Early Friday evening, the village of Winneconny Police Department, the city of Amro Police, and the Winnebago County Sheriff's Department were dispatched to a scene.
The 500 block of Division Street, the village of Winneconny, in reference to a medical incident and welfare check.
Upon arrival, officers and deputies located three individuals deceased inside of the home.
Due to the circumstances of the incident, the village of Winneconny Police Department requested that the Winnebago
Beagle County Sheriff's Office become the primary investigating agency.

First Sunday of every month, April 3rd December, we do Kickapoo Cowboy Church, and we're just looking forward to being able to do this again and want to keep it going as long as we can.
Each month features a different group performing inspirational music.
Tomorrow's artists will be familiar to anyone who attends Cowboy Church regularly.

There are other people that do Cowboy Churches once in a while.
So Brown, Ontario, there's a couple that do them and there's other areas that do them as well.
And it's really an important part of things in our area that go on because it provides a place where people can come and hear the gospel message.
And everybody just comes up there.
It's really an honor to be able to do this.

Some people have had a bad experience at some point in their life with, you know, a church and some people won't go to church, but they will come to Cowboy Church.

Rock and Roll Reunion 2026 is currently underway at Woodman Village Park.
This is the 16th year of the annual event, which features many local artists and groups performing a wide variety of music.
Roddy Dull is one of the performers and an organizer of the event.
We have about 30 musicians and some of those are involved in collaborations with different bands on the same day.
We mix it up really, really good and when it comes to genres, we've covered all the bases.
We've got some big band type music and we've got country and a little bluegrass and folk and some rock and roll, some blues and we've got it all mixed up to please just about every music
appreciator that there is out there.
The event features great music and plenty of food throughout the day.
Each group plays about a half an hour and then there's about a 10 minute switch over time and it's non-stop music until pushing nine o'clock at night.
You know we used to try to cook simple food on our own and we'd do burgers and hot dogs mostly and this year we have somebody catering the entire event.
So I think they've got pulled pork and they've got barbecue and chili dogs, but they're also serving full meals with salad and everything there.
So it takes a big burden off of me, but it's also gonna really enhance this event going forward that we can get that kind of service for the food.
Each year money raised at Rock and Roll Reunion goes to a great cause, including this year's recipients.
This year we are donating all of the money to local immigrants and we are donating the money through the free clinic in Bosquebell and through the Head Start CAP program.
It's kind of cool.
You know, we have immigrants that we work around every day in our farming communities and restaurants.
And sometimes I don't think they have some of the same opportunities as some of us that were born and raised here.
And so that was what we decided to do this year.
Money for this year's cause will be raised from sales at the event and through the generosity of those who attend.
It's a free event, you know, as far as admission goes.
So you can bring your own chair, bring your own beverage.
We encourage people to try and buy, you know, all their soft drinks and their food there because a percentage of that food comes back to our cause.
But the main way we raise money is from the sale of t-shirts or just from plain donations.
And we truly appreciate those and accept those graciously.
