I'm looking through a window into the WMPL or the Uper studio.
Yeah.
Which has a window to the outside.
Good description of where you have your day.
So it's hard to look.
I have to basically leave the studio.
If I ever want to check the weather.
Yeah, well, I mean, it's how many steps?
10, 12?
Yeah,
it's not many, but I still got to
get up.
You can still stick your hand out and you can check on the weather just like that.
That's how I do it at home anyway.

And we got summer Hancock happenings.
And we can get in shape on Quincy Green this summer with outdoor functional
fitness classes, which are strength training for everyday living.
These sessions are designed to help you improve your stability and enrich your everyday life.
So those classes are every Thursday from 10 until 10.45 AM on Quincy Green.
And thank you UP Health System for hosting these classes.
And they're only until August 27th.
So it looks like we only got two more weeks left for those classes this year.
Only $5 per class as well.
So what a great way to start your
day or you know it's at 10 a.m.
so it's not really your start but to enrich your life every day with the outdoor functional fitness classes brought to you by the UP Health System and thank you for all you do for our community UP Health System Portage.
The all-new Hancock Thursday Farmers Market is 2 until 6 p.m.
on Quincy Green and that is every Thursday through October so you'll go get your choice of high quality gluten-free baked goods and
also your sourdough goods, fresh produce, bagels, clothing mending, quail eggs, you name it, you can get it over at the all new Hancock Thursday Farmers Market and that is really an exciting market now.
And if you believe in keeping your dollars local, this is a really great way to do that and you get your family's grocery shopping done.
And that is again, two until six p.m.
every Thursday.
And again, we also have our
from 10 a.m.
until noon.
So two chances to do your shopping and to support local industries right here in Hancock.
Thursday is a really big day here in Hancock, actually.

So you can grab your family, grab your friends, get on over there, play some board games, card games, whatever you like to do.
They're open until 8 p.m.
Then you can head over to New Teenies Supper Club at 321 Quincy Street.
You get a little break in there.
You can grab something to eat.
But they're hosting Trivia Night every Thursday, and that begins at 8.30 p.m.
And that's always really a great crowd over there.
So if you like to join in the fun, New Teenies Supper Club every Thursday night for Trivia Night.
And then we have Movies on the Green every Thursday through August.
And this week we have our 80s night presentations.
So, and this year's winner,
is the science fiction comedy Honey I Shrunk the Kids with Rick Moranis.
And it's really a fun, fun movie for the entire family.
That'll be at Sundown, which is approximately at 9, 10 this week.
So we're starting to really lose all of those daylight hours that we love to have in the summertime.
So it looks like we're losing about 20 minutes per week.
So yes.
So it's like 9, 10 sunset.
We've got Honey I Shrunk the Kids on the big screen on Quincy Green.
We also have our last canal rock of the summer season of 2026.
That is this Friday, August 14th.
We've got back
tracks from 6 until 9 p.m.
at Porvo Park.
So you can kick back and relax or kick off your shoes and dance the night away with this must attend celebration of summer.
So you can bring your coolers, blankets, umbrellas for shade, and chairs to get comfy along Portage Canal.

This Friday, Clint Cairo and back tracks will rock the canal.
So you got to be in the fun because this is the last one of the summer season.
We had to cancel Chad Morgan and the collective last week because
Because he almost got one set in, but the rains came and the lightning came and we had to cancel.
But we're not going to be able to reschedule Chad Morgan.
He's got a busy schedule.
And of course, we are starting to look at the end of August and into September.
But guess what?
We've got Chad Morgan coming and the collective to our street dance for September 5th, for our end of summer celebration.
So that you think that was really great planning.
Haha.
No, we've already had Chad Morgan and the collective booked for some time.
So we just got lucky that we are going to be able to bring you Chad Morgan and the collective during our end of summer celebrations street dance from six until 10.
That is September 5th.
Hopefully it doesn't rain.
Oh yeah.
We don't want any rain for that for sure.
So let's cross our fingers and hope for the best for that day.
We've also got the 75th annual Houghton County Fair this coming or not this coming but at the end of the month that is August 27th through the 30th and you can visit the city of Hancock Booth.
At the fair and you can experience family-friendly fun and then again those dates are 20s the August 27th through the 30th at the fairgrounds in Hancock also We've got MTU's an afternoon on the town comes to the city of Hancock for the very first time on Saturday August 29th from noon until 3 p.m So we'll have over a thousand MTU students.
They'll be in the city of Hancock for the very first time So if you're interested and you have a business and you'd like to have a tent or a table on Quincy Green so you can

Also, the Hancock lights the night.
