A flight home from a Republican dinner in La Crosse ended with Tom Tiffany and his pilot in Lake Wausau after their plane lost power near the Wausau downtown airport.

Authorities say the 911 call came in around 8.49 Saturday night and Tiffany says the two got out of the plane as it started to sink.

It's not like they made plans to move to the nearest shore after it went under, and I allowed the contact with them.

I believe his phone is under water.

They may be swimming south, I believe.

We have two victims in the water.

We're just pulling about now.

We're supposed to take back the landing with two victims.

Those are alert

shots.

Tiffany took to a microphone later in the day to explain what happened and talked about the injuries to himself and his hero pilot.

He had four stitches, I believe, in one of his wounds.

That was the extent of his injuries.

I have 12 stitches.

up in my eyebrow, but other than that, just a few scratches.

We are just really fortunate.

We're really fortunate that God was looking after us.

Democratic candidate David Crowley issued a statement saying he is thankful no one was seriously hurt.

Federal investigators are looking into the emergency landing.

It wasn't the season opener Packer fans had hoped for against Division Rivals Minnesota Vikings.

The pack had a double-digit lead going into halftime with an impressive performance controlling the game from the start.

The second half was a different story though, a scenario all too familiar to Packer fans.

The Vikings scored 29 points in a row, Jordan Love faced back-to-back sacks fumbling on one of them, and a string of penalties led to a 39-22 blowout by the Vikings.

The Packers head to New York next week to take on the jets.

Four police officers are injured and one of our state's largest farmers markets was canceled Saturday after a car drove into a crowd of people over the weekend in Green Bay.

Green Bay police say a fight broke out near a food truck just after two in the morning Saturday.

As officers were investigating, they say a car drove into a crowd of bystanders and police.

One officer fired their gun.

No one was hurt from the gunfire.

Police say four officers needed medical treatment for their injuries.

The officer who fired the gun is now on administrative leave for the department's policy.

Due to the active investigation in downtown Green Bay, city leaders canceled Saturday's farmers market.

The market typically hosts around 150 vendors for Saturday's market.

An athlete is dead after suffering a medical emergency during the Iron Man 70.3 Wisconsin competition in Madison.

Officials said the incident happened during the swimming portion of the event Saturday morning.

UW Lake Rescue personnel brought the athlete to shore and began life-saving measures before emergency crews took over.

The athlete was transported to a hospital where they later died.

The Packers lose to the Vikings.

Hi, I'm Mike Clemens from US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, where the Packers lost 39 to 22.

Green Bay had the lead, then gave up four consecutive touchdowns to the Vikings.

I asked the Packers' new linebacker, Zaire Franklin, if he'd ever seen a game flip like that in the fourth quarter.

I mean, I've been through a lot of s*** in this league.

I don't know.

Maybe.

It's just tough.

We just gotta look back at it and see, you know, what our role was in it, how we could be better on that technique and our fundamentals and not put ourselves in the situation, you know, in these type of games you can't.

Baseball, the Brewers have the night off after losing to the Reds yesterday, 4-3.

Reliever, Abner, Uribe, charged with the loss after giving up the go-ahead run.

So our bullpen let us down a little bit.

Uribe wasn't as sharp as normal.

Offensively, we were a little bit snakebitten.

You know, the baseball gods got us a little bit with a couple of those plays, but that's the way it goes.
