I'm Connie Feldman with this local news update Packers QB Jordan Love has been
clear to take the field again though it's unlikely we'll see him play in the final
game of the season against the Vikings this Sunday. Love suffered a concussion
against the Bears in week 16 and missed the following game against the Ravens which
ended in a loss and another injury for backup quarterback Malik Willis. Willis
impressed many fans with his performance failing in for love.
Head coach Matt LaFleur says Willis is currently dealing with a hamstring issue
and Clayton Tune will start at QB for the green and gold in Minnesota.
Kickoff is set for noon. Project Play 60 is set for the Lambo field atrium
on Valentine's Day. The free event focuses on getting kids out of the house
and being physically active. Project Play 60 will feature popular inflatables,
a climbing wall, a ninja course, gymnastics and more. Kids are also invited to learn how to
strengthen their minds and bodies through yoga. For safety purposes kids need to wear socks
and tennis shoes. Wavers are also required. The event runs from 9 to 3 Saturday, February 14th.
Guests are invited to bring a hygiene item to donate for the help the homeless hygiene drive.
The most needed items include laundry, dish soap, toilet paper and diapers.
With the holidays now behind us millions of Christmas trees will be heading to the curb.
But here in Northeast Wisconsin there's another option that will keep trees out the landfill
and help educate kids as well. At Boobalts Nature Preserve in Appleton,
discarded Christmas trees are a key part of their winter education programs. Educators say those
donated trees become the main building material for winter survival lessons.
Keeping kids outdoors even in the coldest months. Students learn how to build winter shelters
using the trees, gaining both building and life skills. Not to mention how to have some fun
outdoor time in the winter. Once all the lights and decorations have been removed,
trees can be dropped off in the parking lot at Boobalts Nature Preserve.
In an incredible act of holiday kindness, three Michigan state troopers drove 600 miles to
deliver Christmas gifts to a two-year-old girl battling cancer at a hospital more than nine hours
from her home in the U.P. Two-year-old Viola White was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma
in September just two days before her second birthday. At a recent shop with a cop event for the
holidays, the girl's grandmother shared her story with one of the officers. That officer,
trooper Joe Renaud said he was so moved by the situation he felt compelled to do something.
Renaud got in his patrol car at three in the morning and drove as far as St. Ignis Michigan
with a load of more than 50 Christmas gifts the community purchased. For Viola, he handed the gifts
off to a community service trooper who drove another 200 miles to make another swap with the
third state trooper who drove the remaining way to deliver the gifts to Viola, who drove the
remaining way to deliver the gifts to Viola at the Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor.
Viola opened her gifts with her family surrounding her in what they call a true Christmas

In Dallas, Dig says after he got the call from the Packers, the first person he called was his
friend and former teammate, Micah Parsons. He told me, you know, it's work. It's a lot different.
You know, he said I'm going to like it a lot and I'm going to enjoy it and so far I've been
enjoying it a lot. My first day was out there today and you know, had a lot of fun and you know,
it's a great, great thing to be here. You want to play Sunday? Can you play Sunday? Yeah.
The Packers play the Vikings in Minnesota Sunday at noon, Matlow Flurr, as decided to start
third string quarterback Clayton Tune and rest Jordan Love and others to get ready for the postseason.
Basketball tonight, the Bucks at home against the Charlotte Hornets,
College Hoops, the Badgers host Purdue tomorrow night at the Cole Center with sports on Mike Clemens.
Mostly sunny today are high right around 15 this afternoon with wind out of the West
Northwest at around five to 15 tonight. Mostly cloudy. We're going to drop to around seven
