Governor Tony Evers announced Friday that he's granted another 172 pardons.
This brings his total number of pardons granted to 1436.
The Wisconsin Constitution grants the governor the power to pardon individuals convicted of a crime.
A pardon is an official act of forgiveness that restores rights lost when someone's convicted of a felony,
including the right to serve on a jury, hold public office, and hold certain professional licenses.
A pardon does not expunge court records.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is reporting a good start to the gun deer hunt season.
DNR officials say they saw a great turnout Saturday for the season opener from individual hunters to families out in the woods together.
They also say there were no injuries or incidents to report from the season opener.
As the season continues this week, officials are reminding hunters to continue to wear their bright orange gear to make themselves more visible to other hunters,
and also prepare yourself for colder temperatures later in the week.
Summer spring fall and yes, even in winter, if you like outdoor recreation in Wisconsin, you can help the DNR with the score.
Melissa K reports, the Wisconsin DNR is asking for public input on their statewide comprehensive outdoor recreation plan or Scorp.
The Scorp looks at why people enjoy recreation in Wisconsin and also asks what barriers people have that may prevent them from participating.
States are required to complete Scorp's every five years to be eligible for participation in the Land and Water Conservation Fund State Assistance Program.

Across the country, more people are driving electric vehicles but Wisconsin lags behind. EVs make up only 1% of the cars on the road here.
Misconceptions about costs, maintenance and performance are top of the mind for hesitant buyers.
About 30% of Wisconsinites live in a rural area, and for them, accessibility is one of the biggest concerns.
Jeremiah Brockman with the Wisconsin Electric Vehicle Association says some spots don't have enough charging stations.
Part of the problem, too, is you have more farmland in rural areas and if you spend the entire day out on a farm and you're driving around your, you know, many acres of land, you worry about where you're going to charge your vehicle at that point and I think that's another hurdle.
Compared to neighboring states, Wisconsin has significantly fewer charging stations. An effort to help bolster the state's EV infrastructure, Wisconsin passed a law earlier this year to install a network of 65 fast charging stations statewide.
The plan is to install them every 50 miles along the interstate system in major highways through next year.
A shooting in Appleton Sunday morning has claimed the life of 74-year-old Daniel Yeetis senior.
Appleton police say the incident happened on South Sanders Street. They have arrested his son Gregory Yeetis and have recommended charges of first degree intentional homicide, fleeing an officer and obstruction.
Yeetis has not been formally charged yet. He is to appear in court today. Alloway will have a new village administrator starting January 2nd.
The village board voted unanimously Monday to hire former grand shoot town administrator Jim March. March will take over for Brad Lang, who's retiring after 30 years with the village of Alloway.
The public is invited to meet March at the first village board meeting of the year on January 7th.
Wicked had one of the best opening weekends of the year and as Savannah Tomay Olsen explains, it's a Wisconsin actor's very first film.
Wicked shattered box office records. It's now the best opening weekend for a Broadway adaptation ever earning $114 million here in the U.S. with another 50 million in other countries.
And one of its stars is from right here in Wisconsin. Marissa Bodie plays Nessa Rose. If you weren't a theater kid, don't worry I got you.
The whole story is like a prequel to the Wizard of Oz and we're following Glinda and Elphaba, who later becomes the Wicked Witch of the West.
Well, Nessa Rose is her sister. The character uses a wheelchair in the original story, but Bodie is the first actor to take on the role who actually uses a wheelchair herself.
She was paralyzed in a car accident as a child. Bodie is from Meso Mani. She's 24 and this is her first movie ever.
Over the weekend, there was a big screening in Prairie du Saks of her friends and family came out to support her and see the movie for the first time.

Wisconsin goes up in the rankings. I am Mike Clemens with sports. Men's College basketball. The Badgers have two home games coming up this Saturday at noon against Chicago State.
And then next week, Tuesday night, they take on Michigan. The Badgers now ranked 15th of the nation after winning the Green Briar tournament in Orlando over the weekend.
The Marquette Golden Eagles learn that they're now number 10th ranked in the nation. They'll host Stone Hill tomorrow night in Milwaukee, the tip off time eight o'clock NBA.
The Bucks in Miami tonight against the heat. The Bucks have won four in a row. NFL Packers holding practice for their game on Thanksgiving.
This Thursday night against the Miami Dolphins kick off at 720 TV coverage on NBC and then Friday at 11 a.m.
More football. It's the Badgers against the Minnesota golfers at Camp Randall Stadium.
Every game you throw, you throw records out the window. You throw sometimes even the home field vantage out the window.
It's, it comes down to who wants it more in anybody that can't get up for that doesn't belong to you in more of these places.

Ed Francis Hanon to the list. The Oscar winning makeup and hair designer for Wicked was tasked with making Cynthia Arevos character Elfaba green.
Another Oscar nomination for Hanon no doubt. Hanon praised director John Chu for using practical and tangible sets as opposed to Marvel films, which are all green screen and CGI.
Not sure she'll be hired by Marvel again, but not sure she cares. Henry Winkler's daughter was almost famous.
Zoe Winkler recently recalled on her What's in the Winkler podcast that she almost did a reality TV show with a pre-fame Kim Kardashian years ago.
Zoe Winkler, who is now a teacher, was in the running to be the bachelor at until the fan said,
Awww, no way. It's been a long road for the live action version of Snow White, but there is now early state in sight.
The Disney flick has been in development since 2016 and was supposed to be released in 2024.
Greta Gerwig wrote the script for the film which stars Rachel Ziegler and Gal Gadot Snow White will hit theaters March 21st of 2025.
Hollywood is full of crazy stories and actor Josh Brolin has a doozy he shared in his new memoir from Under the Truck.
Brolin tells the story of when he met acting legend Marlon Brando. Brolin attended a dinner at his stepmother Barbara Streisand's house, along with John Travolta and Kelly Preston.
Brolin recalled that Brando showed up with a bleeding leg because he stopped to pull someone from a mudslide on the way to the party.
Travolta, a well-known Scientologist, noticed and told Brando he had just gotten to the next level as a Scientologist and said he could heal him.
Brolin recalled watching Danny Zuko heal the godfather, one of the most surreal of his life.
It was surreal just reading that.
Backed by Ridley Scott and starring Paul Muskel, Connie Nielsen, Denzel Washington and Pedro Pascal was never expected to be the top dog as it was always Oppenheimer to Wicked's Barbie.
Wicked's slightly exceeded expectations with his box office hall where his Gladiator 2 came in just under its expectations.
This is becoming a trend in Hollywood where two films coming out at the same time were not necessarily competing against each other but help each other create a social media phenomenon.
Another place in week two of its release was Red 1 with 13 million bucks.
Rounding out the top five were Bonhoeffer, Pastor Spy Assassin and the Resilient Venom The Last Dance, which came in fifth place with 4 million.
