There's a winter storm watch in effect beginning Saturday evening and continuing through Monday afternoon.
Heavy snow is possible with accumulations of 12 to 18 inches with some areas possibly receiving 24 inches or more according to the National Weather Service in Green Bay.
Wind gusts as high as 45 miles per hour are expected during the storm. The strong winds and the weight of the snow on tree limbs may cause downed power lines.
This could result in sporadic power outages. White out and near blizzard conditions are possible making traveling treacherous and potentially life threatening.
Travelling could be very difficult to impossible with this combination of snow and wind. This storm is expected to impact the following counties moving from west to east.
Wood, Portage, Washera, Wapaka, Winnebego, Outagami, Calumet, Brown, Manitawak and Kiwani.
Any residents in Wasa who need smoke alarms installed in their home can have that done for free later this month.
The American Red Cross will offer free smoke alarm installations on March 24 for the Sound the Alarm event.
You'll need to sign up on redcross.org or by calling 888-376-4056.
The installation event will run from 11 a.m. to 130 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24.
Red Cross volunteers and community partners will go door to door in neighborhoods vulnerable to home fires, installing free smoke alarms and sharing information on the causes of home fires, what to do if a fire starts, and how to create an escape plan.

Wisconsin employers could soon see some relief from worker shortages.
Yesterday in Milwaukee, Governor Tony Evers signed a bipartisan bill letting DACA recipients apply for job licenses.
The new law opens doors for dreamers to work in high-need fields like nursing, teaching, and skilled trades if they meet all state requirements.
Wisconsin's workforce shortages persist and we can't afford to leave out anyone who's willing to participate in our success.
Evers says it's the right move for the economy. Some critics disagree, saying the state should focus on training more citizens instead.
The number of those filing for unemployment for the first time are increasing across Wisconsin.
That's according to the latest data from the U.S. Department of Labor.
It shows that for the week ending March 28th, there were more than 4,400 first-time filings in the state.
That's more than 800 more filings compared to the week before.
Nationally, the number of filings decreased compared to the week prior.
And the Milwaukee brewers are pairing their new City Connect uniforms with a fresh taste of Wisconsin tradition.
Starting tonight, fans at American Family Field can enjoy City Connect Supper Club Fridays.
A special menu features classic Supper Club dishes and old fashions.
The Supper Club pop up debuts the same day the team shows off its new City Connect jerseys against the nationals.
Those feature a logo that says Wiscoe.
It'll return for every Friday home game this season.
