Milwaukee County Executive and gubernatorial candidate David Crowley hopes to make sure no community is left behind.

Crowley launched his bid for the top state seat in September before his election as the first black Milwaukee County Executive, he served in the state assembly.
In an appearance on the WXCO morning show Crowley said his experience sharing an office in the state capital helped him gain rural perspective.
One of those individuals that I shared an office with was Don Brewing, who we both came in together.
But he represented smaller municipalities, small town rural Wisconsin through and through.
Brewing represented District 43 in the state assembly, which includes Whitewater, Milton and parts of Edgerton and Jamesville.
Crowley says he wants to listen and build relationships with communities across the state.
By sharing that office, it gave me an opportunity to learn a little bit more about rural life.
What's going on with our agricultural industry with some of our family farms are going through?
Crowley was one of seven candidates to enter the Democratic field for governor.
He said during his time on the campaign trail, he's hearing constituent's biggest concerns.
Well, the biggest issue is the affordability crisis, right?
I think whether you are making more money today, you're still getting less than you ever have before.
And so no matter where I go in the state, people are asking, you know, how are we going to tackle this affordability crisis?
Crowley said he wants to figure out how to make sure the government can provide services for those who need it.
Well, a lot of the economic uncertainty and a lot of these chaos policies that are coming out of Washington, D.C. are driving these costs up.
It doesn't mean that we can't figure out ways to tackle this issue here locally.
Crowley will appear on the ballot in the August primary and the winner of the primary will advance to the November general election.
Gas prices have fallen 1.8 cents per gallon during the past week for an average of 240 on Monday.
This is 19.1 cents lower than a month ago and well over 43 cents per gallon lower than this time last year.
We're seeing the sixth straight week of a declining national average.
Officials at Gas Buddy say seasonality is continuing to drive trends at the pump.
The 2026 fuel outlook will be released later this week.
Gas Buddy officials say this will give a clearer sense of what drivers may face during the next year.
Officials also say new developments in Venezuela are not likely to impact U.S. gasoline prices significantly anytime soon.
They expect gas prices to bottom out in the weeks ahead before they begin their seasonal climb as we get closer to March.
This is the fourth year you can send Valentine's Day cards to veterans living at Wisconsin Department of Veteran Affairs facilities around the state.
Since the program began in 2023 over 80,000 Valentine's Day cards have been sent in and distributed to members and veterans.
Secretary of Veteran Affairs James Bond says this program spreads so much happiness because of the outpouring of support and love to veterans.
The cards will be delivered to veterans living in VA facilities in Chippewa Falls, King and Union Grove as well as residents in the veterans housing and recovery program.
You'll need to mail your cards by January 31st for timely arrival. They can be sent to Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs, Attention Veteran Valentines, PO Box 7-843, Madison, Wisconsin 5-3-707.
Allison Dairyland applications are now open for the position of the 79th Allison Dairyland.
The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture Trade and Consumer Protection invites individuals with a passion for promoting agriculture to apply now through January 30th.
Allison Dairyland applicants should have an interest in Wisconsin agriculture, public speaking experience and at least three years of experience education or training in communications, marketing, education or public relations.

A deer has tested positive for chronic wasting disease in Clark County. The Wisconsin DNR confirmed the positive test result on a hunter harvested adult doe.
The detection will extend the two-year baiting and feeding ban already in place for Clark County for another three years. No other counties were impacted as this detection was not within 10 miles of any county lines.
The Wingro Win Quintet will be performing in Wisconsin Rapids later this month. The Quintet is one of the longest running in the nation, founded in 1965 at UW-Madison Mead Witters School of Music.
The group will perform at the Performing Art Center on January 22nd at 7.30pm. At 3pm that day, a free masterclass is being held for students at the PAC.

Wood County Snowmobile trails closed at noon on Monday, January 5th, with the impending warm weather and deteriorating trail conditions.

In another big 10 matchup tonight in Madison at the Cole Center, the Badgers were the record of 9-5 coming off that loss to number 5th rank Purdue.
The Bruins are 10-4. A nice win for UW-Green Bay. They beat the UWM Panthers. 79-76 at the Cress Event Center in Green Bay.
