You may want to be conscious while driving this morning.
There's a winter weather advisory in our area for freezing drizzle which should turn to snow.
This means there could be a light glaze of ice, followed by 1 to 2 inches of snow accumulation.
The precipitation is expected to last until 3 PM today in impact wood,
portage, washera, and wapaka counties.
Gas prices increased last week, rising 3.7 cents for an average across the state of 281 per gallon.
Despite the expected increase, prices in Wisconsin are still 5 cents per gallon lower than a month ago,
but over 7 cents higher than this time last year.
Officials at gas bodies say prices may hold near recent levels this week,
however, in our area, stations will likely be rolling back prices after the recent hikes in competition with nearby gas stations.
It will pay to check prices before you fill up.
You may be able to save as much as 25 to 50 cents per gallon depending on where you fill your tank.
Prices in Central Wisconsin today range from 248 to 284 per gallon.
There are talks at the top of the state Democratic Party and how to stop a Trump plan.

The Assembly Minority Leader and Racine Representative Greta Newbauer is in discussions with Governor Tony Evers and Attorney General Josh Call.
On WISN12's up-front program, Newbauer said they talked about strategies for preventing the mass deportations promised by President-elect Donald Trump.
She says the conversation is, quote, nuance to but wants to keep people in the community.
The Riverfront Art Center in Stevens Point is calling for art for their next exhibit called Winters Garden.
This is for artists ages 18 and up.
You can submit up to three works for the annual Jury Dexhibition.
The exhibit opens on Friday, January 17th and will run through Sunday, February 23rd.

The Madison-Wisconsin Police Chief has been named as the Chief of Police in Seattle.
It was announced Friday that Chief Barnes had accepted the position.
Sean Barnes departure comes as Madison Police are still in the early days of their investigation into what motivated the 15-year-old shooter to open fire at Abundant Life Christian School.
Teacher Aaron West and 14-year-old freshman Ruby Patricia Vigara were killed.
Authorities say the shooter killed herself. Barnes was a known finalist for the Seattle job before the shootings.
Southeast Wisconsin's growth continues with a go-ahead in Kenosha County.
The village of Pleasant Prairie has endorsed Eli Lilly's $3 billion expansion plan.
It's a project that will increase the company's production capacity.
The expansion will add 750 employees and includes new office, warehouse, and manufacturing spaces.
Work will start this month and be completed by March 2026.
The expansion is the drug maker's largest U.S. manufacturing investment outside of Indiana.
The State Building Commission denies funding for a new UW-Madison Engineering Building.
Republican legislators on the commission blocked reallocation of $70 million for building projects on University of Wisconsin campuses.
Senator Andre Jacques of DePierre said they were caught off guard.
Senate Majority Leader Devon Lemahue of Osberg wrote a letter to UW President Jay Rothman that the no votes were in response to a lack of transparency and an inability or unwillingness to answer critical questions.
The Board of Regents earlier this year approved a roughly $72 million funding increase for the engineering project.
The proposed funds allocation would include putting $29 million toward these costs.
Governor Tony Evers said in a statement that support for UW continues to face partisan obstruction.
He said the commission will vote on the proposal again in January.

The brewers will remain in Wisconsin through 2050 thanks to a new lease agreement.
The deal to stay in Ampham Field has been approved by the Southeast Wisconsin Professional Baseball Park District.
In a statement, Governor Tony Evers celebrated the approval, which follows his signing of bills that provided $500 million for renovations.
The state, Milwaukee County and the city of Milwaukee will contribute a combined about $435 million with the brewers adding $150 million over the lease term.

A good performance from Stephen Crowell and Nolan Winner who had a double double had coach Greg Gard.
I thought the two bigs, Crowell and Winner were good, were efficient.
Obviously the numbers bear that out.
Nolan's ability to rebound at a high level, get to the line, you know, and shoot the three.
Great, but I thought we had really good looks and defensively did a lot of good things to keep the ball out of the pain.

Saints head coach Darren Rizzy says, although Alvin Cabera is out for tonight's game, he'll rely on his other running backs, including former packer Jamal Williams.
You know, Kendrick can kind of pick up where he's left off the last couple of weeks.
Jamal Williams has had many, many games in that division in that stadium and he's had some really good ones.
Obviously played for them and played it within the division with Detroit.
So he's got experience there.
I think, you know, between Kendrick and Jamal and Jordan Mims, like I said, I think you'll see all those guys at some point during the game.

Billy Bob Thornton likes to play loose and less predictable roles.
That was his answer when asked why he turned down popular villain roles.
In an interview with Deadline, the actor said he turned down roles in Spider-Man as the green goblin and as an arms dealer in Mission Impossible 3.
Thornton says he had no interest in sitting for five hours while being made up green and in regard to Mission Impossible 3 says he didn't want to be the guy trying to kill Tom Cruise.
Adding that when you are a bad guy on that level, that is how people remember you.

HBO is making a preemptive renewal for Dune Prophecy.
The network announced ahead of last weekend's season 1 finale that there will be a season 2.
The show that stars Olivia Williams and Emily Watson is a prequel based on the novel called Sisterhood of Dune.
All six episodes of the season can be viewed on Max.
The brutalist is currently playing in theaters and has received incredible reviews.
The film stars Adrian Brody who threw himself into the role saying it was very fulfilling to work himself into exhaustion.
The way Brody described the casting process sounded exhausting too as he was cast, then replaced, then ultimately found his way back into the lead role of a Jewish architect relocating to America after the Holocaust.
Brody and the film are receiving great reviews and serious Oscar buzz.
If you plan to check it out though, pack a lunch as the film is a healthy three and a half hours long.
