Today is Martin Luther King Day, a federal holiday and a lot of businesses
will be closed.
I shouldn't say a lot of businesses, but banks, post offices, and other government buildings will be closed, including the LCO tribal offices and their business entities.
And that includes the clinic.
The tribal clinic will be closed today.
Schools, however, are open today, but they are two hours late.
So the LCO schools is running two hours late this morning.
And the same with the university.
They are running two hours late as well.
So again, the LCO schools and university running two hours late.
Starting at nine o'clock today, the Hayward Community Food Shelf will be open.
They are located at 162, 16 US Highway 63 here in Hayward.
Every Monday morning and the first Saturday morning of each month, they are open from nine until noon.

Again the Hayward Community Food Shelf opening up from 9 until 12 today.
Make appreciation cards for your community.
This is beginning today starting at 10 o'clock and runs through Saturday the 14th and this will be held at the Hayward Library
the Sherman and Ruth Weiss Community Library is inviting you to make cards of appreciation for your community like family, friends, neighbors, teachers, and co-workers.
A card making station will be set up in the adult area of the library near the checkout desk and you can drop in and make appreciation cards for your community starting today at 10 o'clock until 1.
and that'll be every day through Saturday the 14th.
So drop in and make some cards.
Also at the Hayward Library, the Ventures Unlimited group and community members are following along a gentle exercise video.
There is no in-person instructor, but the participants need to sign a waiver to exercise.
Again, gentle exercise with Ventures today from 11 until 12.

And then finally at the Hayward Library, the Teen Club is meeting after school, starting at 3.30 until 4.30.
This is for ages 13 to 18, and we'll be playing some games, doing some crafts, having a few snacks, and meeting some friends.
This is all sponsored by Coops Pizza Parlor, the Teen Club at the Hayward Library, starting today, every 4th Monday,
at 3.30.
Otherwise, we got some varsity games happening.
Girls Varsity Basketball for Sullivan Springs will be at Washburn High School today starting at 6.30.
This was a time change for their game.

The boys varsity hockey team for Ashland
will be at the Spooner Sports Center starting at seven o'clock today.
Again, Boys Varsity Hockey for Ashland at the Spooner Sports Center.
Boys Basketball for Hayward School District will be a home game against St.
Croix Falls.
This will be at seven o'clock.
Boys Varsity Basketball for Hayward at home against St.
Croix Falls at seven.
Barron School District
Boy's Basketball 7 o'clock will be at Ashland High School.
So again, Boy's Varsity Basketball for Barron at Ashland starting at 7 o'clock.
And finally, Boy's Varsity Basketball for Solon Springs will be at Cumberland High School.
