A man and woman are dead after what police are calling a homicide suicide on Nina's southwest side.
The police department says just before 5 p.m.
Sunday, it was called to a home in the Freedom Acres subdivision.
Officers arrived to find a 57-year-old woman and 59-year-old man dead.
Preliminary information indicates the man shot the woman, then turned the gun on himself as the investigation continues.

Police in Fond du Lac responded to a domestic violence call in the 100 block of East 1st Street early Monday morning.
The initial report indicated a man had stabbed his father multiple times after being attacked with a hammer.
When officers arrived, they learned a 20 year old man had stabbed his 46 year old father during the altercation.
Both men live at the residence.
The father suffered multiple stab wounds.
Officers provided immediate medical aid until
Fondelike Fire and Rescue arrived.
He was flown to a regional medical center where he underwent surgery and is in stable condition.
The 20-year-old son suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment and is in stable condition.
Fondelike police detectives are investigating the incident.
New Holstein Police are seeking more information about a large explosion or loud boom heard in and around the New Holstein area Saturday morning.
There were multiple reports.
Police are asking anyone who may have information about the explosion to contact them.
They're also asking residents and businesses to review their doorbell security or surveillance camera footage that may have captured anything unusual that morning.

Bradley Block will serve 45 days in jail and pay over $5,700 in restitution after pleading guilty to stealing six historic grave markers from a Fox Crossing library.
The 59-year-old was first arrested last year after the Fox Crossing Police Department discovered the crosses were sold on Facebook.
Since the arrest, the crosses have been in evidence unable to return to St.
Patrick's Cemetery.
The crosses, each over 150 years old, were molded at the now defunct Manasher
foundry.
They weigh about 100 pounds and would have cost anywhere from $10,000 to $15,000 each to replace.
Block did not address the cemetery or families during Monday's hearing.
The Winnick County School Board on Monday night began its search for a new interim district administrator after accepting Peggy Larson's retirement last week.
Larson's retirement took effect on Friday just days after the board voted 4-2 to accept it.
She was placed on leave in August, pending an internal investigation.
Neither she nor the board has disclosed why.
Larson spoke following Monday night's meeting and said she was caught off guard by the decision.
The group, Winnick County Strong, claims to have turned in more than 23
However, the board's clerk ruled none of them count due to filing technicalities.
The group says it will challenge the clerk's decision with the Wisconsin Elections Commission.
While the Ripon Public Library renovation project has essentially complete, library staff is still doing some work in the lower level which will keep meeting rooms unavailable until about November 1st.

Children's library and Linda DeCramer says people can check with the library on the availability of the meeting rooms because there is a possibility they will be available before November 1st.

The city recently received good news about funding for the renovation project.
Learning the state's flexible facilities program was awarding another $339,137.15 for the project.
That brings the total state funding for the project through that program to more than $2.38 million.

Nina Police say they're investigating a murder suicide in the city Sunday afternoon.
Police say they responded to reports of shots fired just before 5 p.m.
When they got there, they found two people dead, a 57-year-old woman and 59-year-old man.
Investigators say evidence points to the man shooting the woman before himself.
Their names have not been made public yet.
Anyone with information that could help the investigation can leave it anonymously with Winnebago County Crime Stoppers.
A suspect in a hit-and-run crash in Madison was found hiding in a closet, according to the Madison Police Department.
They say a vehicle hit a 24-year-old while he was sitting on a bike at a bike rack outside an apartment complex.
The man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries while police say the suspect drove away and parked in a nearby ramp.
Police identified the vehicle's owner using surveillance video.
They found the suspect hiding in a closet at the owner's apartment.
Authorities arrested a 31-year-old Fitchburg man for OWI causing injury and hit and
run, causing great bodily harm.
A runner participating in the Milwaukee Lakefront half-marathon last weekend collapsed and died after being taken to the hospital.
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's office confirmed the identity of the 36-year-old as John Meisey.
They say he had no medical history.
A GoFundMe online fundraising page has been set up to help support Meisey's four young children.
An annual autumn pub crawl in Oshkosh is scheduled for this coming weekend, but Oshkosh police are strongly discouraging attendance.
The pub crawl is an informal event where people, mainly students and young adults, go from party to party at various houses near the UW Oshkosh campus.
Police say the pub crawl has increasingly been associated with excessive alcohol consumption and disruptive, violent behavior.
There were weapons-related incidents at the last two pub crawls.
The city of Oshkosh is working with law enforcement on additional guardrails in order to keep the public safe during the event.
The city council recently put in ordinance in place that allows police to break up a party if they think it's gotten out of hand.
Wisconsin Hunters have a lot to look forward to this month with six different hunting seasons opening in October.
The Wisconsin DNR is reminding hunters and trappers to double check season dates before heading out and make sure they have the required licenses and stamps.

As we get ready for the upcoming heating season, there are those who are going to need help paying the heating bill this year.
The Wisconsin Department of Administration has officially opened applications for the Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance Program.
State officials estimate that approximately 170,000 households will receive financial aid through the program this season.
Program benefits are paid directly to energy, utilities, and fuel suppliers to help offset home heating and power expenses.
Qualification for the program is determined by household size, total income, and overall energy costs, with eligibility cap that households earning 60% or less of the state median income level.
