A 20 year old Fox Lake man is in police custody after a high speed chase.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office says just before 8 p.m.
Monday, a driver was going 54 in a 30 mile per hour zone on Main Street near Ginden Boulevard.
A sergeant tried to pull the vehicle over.
The driver sped up and got onto Highway 175.
A tire deflation device was used at Highway 175 in County Highway B, deflating the driver's side tires.
The vehicle eventually stopped on Highway 175 South of Church Road.
Deputies say the chase lasted about six miles and reached speeds of up to 80 miles per hour.
When the driver got out of the vehicle, he began to quickly advance toward deputies, even though he was told to stop.
Deputies deployed at Taser and were able to take the man into custody.
The man was treated on the scene for minor injuries from the Taser before being taken to a hospital for medical clearance.
He was then booked into the Fond de la County Jail on rec
the charges of fleeing, eluding an officer, suspicion of operating while impaired, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The man was also issued multiple traffic citations.
A Mayville man was airlifted with serious injuries Monday afternoon after rear-ending a three-wheeled motorcycle in Dodge County.
The crash happened around 12.30 p.m.
on County Highway FW in the town of Westford.
Investigators say a 56-year-old Mayville man was riding a 2003 Harley-Davidson motorcycle north on Highway FW, traveling together with a 76-year-old Mayville man on a 2024 Harley-Davidson trike.
When the trike driver slowed down to turn right into a parking lot, the motorcycle rear-ended the three-wheeler, throwing the 56-year-old rider from his motorcycle.
The 56-year-old suffered serious injuries and was phoned by UW MedFlight to UW Hospital.
The 76-year-old trike driver sustained
non-life-threatening injuries and was taken by Randolph EMS to Waplan Memorial Hospital.
Neither rider was wearing a helmet.
Sheriff Dale Schmidt noted that the lack of a helmet contributed to the severity of the 56-year-old man's injuries.
Fonda-Long County Sheriff's officials say the driver of a vehicle that went off a curve at the intersection of highways 67 and 45 and struck a home is cooperating with their investigation.
A relative of the 43-year-old West Bend man located him Sunday morning, he was issued
multiple traffic citations for the incident that occurred in the town of Auburn Saturday night.
He suffered multiple non-life-threatening injuries and was being treated at a local hospital.
No one was at home at the time of the accident, and about $50,000 in damage was done to the house.
A family pet suffered minor injuries.
Speed and inattentive driving were factors in the crash.
The 42-year-old Berlin man who failed to show up for a jury trial on a second-degree sexual assault of a child charged in Green Lake County last week
has been found dead.
Washera County Sheriff's official said Matthew Krause was found dead Saturday in Washera County of what appears to be a self-inflicted wound.
The trial for Krause was canceled last Thursday and a bench warrant was issued for his arrest when he failed to show up for trial.
The Washera County Sheriff's Office received a call that morning.
He was identified as a missing person and a welfare check was asked for.
The last contact with him in the Berlin area was Monday, August 31st at 10.30 p.m.
The 47-year-old rural Fond du Lac man at the center of an investigation into human remains found in his basement waved his right to a preliminary hearing Friday in Fond du Lac County Court.
Benjamin Larson is charged with felony bail jumping, obstructing an officer and three counts of receiving stolen property.
Prior to the preliminary hearing, Judge Douglas Edelstein denied a motion from Larson's attorney to dismiss the criminal complaint.
Larson will be arraigned on September 28.
The discoveries made at Larson's home were
during the execution of a search warrant on August 14th as Fondland County Sheriff's officials were assisting Madison Police with a stalking investigation.
The Sheriff's Office subsequently got their own search warrant for their investigation into what was discovered at Larson's home.
Fondland County District Attorney Eric Tony says, quote, we will continue to work with law enforcement partners to protect sacred tribal burial remains and the overall protection of our community, unquote.
Tony says the public has been helpful with tips during the investigation.
and they continue to ask for the public's assistance related to Larson and the human remains located in his residence.

With Labor Day over, school will be back in session for all
across the state.
Matt Van the Colk says parents should go over safe routes to school, whether they're driving their kids to school or letting them walk.
Be aware of school zones and crossings, whether they are manned or unmanned.
He also says this time of year they see foggy conditions some mornings.
There's more fog.
There's lower visibility circumstances.
So just be aware of those circumstances and travel safely and recognize that there's going to be kids going to and from school in the morning and afternoon.
And Nicole also points out that drivers need to keep their distance behind or in front of a school bus or whether the bus is stopped to pick up or drop off kids.

A joint press release was issued Friday by Fond du Lac County Sheriff Ryan Waldschmidt and Chiefs of Police in Rippon, Fond du Lac Wappan and North Fond du Lac, where the Fox systems were being used.
The Wautoma Police Department joined a host of other law enforcement agencies across the state this weekend that will no longer be using the flock camera system.
The announcement was made in a press release on Sunday morning.

The rules would require new voter-specific barcodes on ballot envelopes and a federal system that does not yet exist.
Wisconsin clerks say there's not enough time or money to replace millions of envelopes, and rural communities could face added challenges.
The Justice Department is asking the U.S.
Supreme Court to let the rules take effect while the federal judge's order currently blocks them.
Scammers are targeting Wisconsin seniors, according to state authorities.

The Wisconsin Department of Revenue, or DOR, is warning senior homeowners about a property tax scam video going viral online.
The video claims that Congress passed a law enabling seniors to freeze or reduce property taxes.
The AI-generated video tells viewers to contact their county assessor and request a specific form.
The contact information in the video instead connects callers to scammers who will try to trick seniors into sharing social security numbers and banking information.
The DOR warns that no such federal program or form exists.
They recommend questioning and investigating videos before believing them.

The city of Manitowoc is deactivating all city-owned flock safety cameras.
Mayor Justin Nichols announced the move Saturday, citing concerns about data management, access, and potential misuse.
Nichols said there's no indication Manitowoc's data was accessed or misused in the manner alleged elsewhere.
This follows similar moves by Fondalac and Winnebago counties after officials learned search data from their flock systems had been publicly disclosed by law enforcement agencies in other states.
Manitowoc's contract with flock runs

A 90-year-old woman accused of hitting a child with her car and driving away has been found not competent to proceed.
This stems from an October 2025 incident in Karahe when a 10-year-old girl was hit by a vehicle while walking to school.
The child suffered abrasions and bruising, and a crossing guard told police the vehicle did not stop.
Authorities later identified Darlene Adam as the driver, who told investigators she believed she hit a rock or a construction barrel.

Federal Disaster Aid is coming to Wisconsin.
FEMA says the state will receive $800,000 for disaster assistance work along with more than $139,000 for a flood study in Wrightstown.

The agency says the goal is to help communities rebuild safely and limit damage from future severe weather.
Wisconsin is challenging a Trump administration rule that would bar federal Medicaid funding for gender-affirming care for minors.
Attorney General Josh Call joined a lawsuit with 22 other states, saying states have the power to determine which services Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program cover.
The rule would apply to puberty blockers, hormone therapy, and surgeries used to treat gender dysphoria.
The policy is expected to take effect in October.
