Corky's brother used to live in that home and I used to attend a lot of parties there when we were first married.

He and I have quite a history.
He was always very kind to me when I was substitute teaching and he was one heck of a great trombone player too.
I wonder if he ever kept up playing.
He was pretty good.

Tammy Jones Robinette I remember as a child very young probably about maybe four or five years old Visiting my grandparents both sets and one of my grandparents Grandpa and grandma lived in Oakfield my brother John and I once stopped over there and they told the story when we had to Stay there for a couple days my grandparents babysat John and I John was 11 months and three weeks older than I so I guess you could say that
For one week every year, we were twins.
We were the same age.
Anyway, we were there very young and my grandmother told my mom and dad when they came to pick us up that we got into trouble.
John and I had taken some red barn paint that my grandfather had used to paint the corn crib and we painted all the white chickens red.
So grandma came home and saw all her laying hands were red and red and white.
Well, I suppose if we had a little bit of blue paint,
Maybe we would have made them patriotic chickens, red, white, and blue, right?
Anyway, let's listen to another song here before I talk myself into a corner.

This is T-Tex's Tyler with a strange story about a soldier boy and a deck of cards.
During the North African campaign, a bunch of soldier boys had been on a long hike and they arrived in little town called Casino.

A sergeant commanded the boys in church, and after the chaplain had read the prayer, the text was taken up next.
Those of the boys who had a prayer book took them out.
But this one boy had only a deck of cards, and so he spread them out.
The sergeant saw the card and said, soldier, put away those cards.
After the services was over, the soldier was taken prisoner and brought before the provost, Marshall.
The Marshall said, sergeant, why have you brought this man here?
For playing cards in church, sir, and what of you to say to yourself, son?
Much, sir, replied the soldier.
The Marshal said, I hope so, for if not, I shall punish you more than any man was ever punished.
The soldier said, sir, I've been on the march for about six days.
I hadn't neither Bible nor prayer book, but I hope to satisfy you, sir, with the purity of my intentions.
With that, the boy started his story.
You see, sir, when I look at the ace, it reminds me that I was but one God.
And the deuce reminds me that the Bible is divided into two parts, the Old and the New Testament.
And when I see the tree, I think of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.
And when I see the four, I think of the four evangelists who preached the gospel.
There was Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
And when I see the five, it reminds me of the five wise virgins who trimmed their lamps.
There were ten of them.
Five were wise and were saved.
Five were foolish and were shut out.
And when I see the six, it reminds me that in six days God made this great heaven and earth.
When I see the seven, it reminds me that on the seventh day God rested from his great work.
And when I see the eight, I think of the eight righteous persons God saved when he destroyed this earth.
There was no way his wife, their three sons and their wives.
And when I see the nine, I think of the lepers, our Savior cleansed.
And nine out of the ten didn't even thank him.
When I see the ten, I think of the ten commandments God handed down to Moses on a table of stone.
When I see the king, it reminds me there is but one king of heaven, God Almighty.
And when I see the queen, I think of the blessed Virgin Mary, who is queen of heaven, and the jacker, Nade, is the devil.
When I count the number of spots on a deck of cards, I find 365, the number of days in a year.
There's 52 cards, the number of weeks in a year.
There's four suits, the number of weeks in a month.
There's 12 picture cards, the number of months in a year.
There's 13 tricks, the number of weeks in a quarter.
So you see, sir, my pack of cards serves me as a Bible almanac and prayer book.
And friends, this story is true.
I know because I was that

There was a story told several weeks ago about these two elderly ladies sitting on a park bench.
It was a warm sunny day.
They're sitting in the shade.
These ladies were both in their 80s and one of the women said to the other one she says you know every year for my children and grandchildren's
birthdays, I would send them a check in the mail and I never hear from them.
Not a phone call, a visit or anything.
No thank yous or nothing.
The other 80 year old lady smiled at her friend and said, well all my relatives that I send checks to always come to see me.
They always do.
The first elderly lady says, what do you do different?
The other one says, I never endorse the checks.
Think about it.
Is that the only time you give somebody you love any attention?
Today is Grandparents Day.
Hopefully if your grandparents are still alive, you can go and see them or at least call them.
Make the effort.
Or if they pass away, go and visit where they lie right now and repose in the cemetery.
Visit them.
Never forget your elderly people in your life.
Grandparents.
Our grandkids call us on Grandparents Day too.
I don't have to encourage them because Korgi, you know, when she endorses a check, they know where it came from.
You know, sometimes it's nice to look back at your grandkids and say, you know, I guess they really do love us.
And even your children, too.
If you get the opportunity, the better.
So take them out and spend some time with the elderly people in your life.
You know, if they're still alive, go take them out, even for a couple hours.

The other evening, I was thinking, boy, what could I use for, before I go to bed, a little snack, something that's nutritious?
So I went in the refrigerator, and there, lo and behold, in the corner on the top shelf was a bag of opened cheese curd that I got from Willow Creek Creamery.
Well, I hadn't eaten in there that for about maybe two days.
I thought, this might be still good yet.
So I took several pieces of cheese curd, about 10 pieces, they're not very big.
And I put them on a microwavable little dish, and I heated them up for 20 seconds.
And you know they tasted just warm and soft and chewy, just like they came right out of the vat.
Did you know you could do that little trick, warm up cheese curd?
Kind of refresh it up.
Well, sadly enough to say all the cheese curd is gone now.
I did that several days in a row.
Don't tell corgi.
Well, we'll have to make a trip someday, go up and see Tom and Joanie and then also head over to the cheese factory at Willow Creek.
They are not open today.
They haven't been open on Sundays since the first of the year, but they do have convenient hours through the week.
If you like cheese curds, come and get them on Monday, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturday mornings from 8 to 5.
And on Mondays through Fridays they're open 9 to 5
at the cheese factory.
The main factories open 9 to 5 Monday through Fridays and then 8 to 5 on Saturdays.
But the first cheese curds come in on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays around 10 o'clock.
I mean they are still warming the bag and that's the best time to eat them.
The cheese is so popular and we have so many friends that we buy extra bags and give them out to people that do little things for us because they never let us do anything in repayment.
So we buy them cheese and
