We have Healey Electric, John and Annie Healey keeping the lights on for you.

Seems like a very nice lady.

You know patios, sidewalks, driveways and inside buildings you put up.
Pedals and plows, north of Rush Lake, and then go west on Kaufman Road.
We got, of course, Wade and Wayne Kaufman at Pedals and Plows.
We got Kristen the River Band Dutchman coming up, and they're going to do one entitled the Black Jack Polka.
Chris in the River Bend, Dutchman from Madison Lake, Minnesota.
Well, I gotta tell you one thing, the good folks at Kaycrete, there this summer, you don't want to lay concrete down when the ground freezes.
You want to get that done right now.
So if you've been contemplating about getting concrete, get a hold of Dylan, who lives right next door to me here on Olden Road.
920-279-8854.
That's the number to get a free quote.
what a new patio made out of sturdy concrete would cost you a new section of sidewalk or even driveway for that matter too most people when you put up a new building they will have either concrete inside the floor of the building like a brand new shed machine shed or a garage you know they don't do the foundation work but they do everything else a concrete driveway
Like for ourselves, we have concrete right outside our driveway, the rest of the yard is blacktop.
That's just the way it was.
We'd haven't changed much of those things over the years, other than just seal coating the blacktop, which I tell you gets to be a little bit after a while.
I wish many times that our entire driveway was made out of concrete, so that there was no maintenance.
Get all the concrete for all your concrete needs.
920-279.
8-8, 5-4, and get in their free court and tell them you're friends with Tubo, okay?

Joe and Kathy, Mr. and Mrs. Pease, they've been doing catering.
They have private parties, public events at Mr. and Mrs. Pease eatery, 1100 West Pontiac Street.
Last week,
Tom Hayes from the Hayes Boys Band from Stratford stopped down to get his trumpet fixed at Danny's repair shop music repair shop instrument in Oshkosh and then Danny and Bo and Tommy came out this way and Tom on his way home wanted to get something so we went to Mr. Mrs. Pease and boy when they brought the food out he says is that all for me I said yeah you got your work to do son well
He finished it up and he says, I have never had a meal like that before.
You folks that live here locally that have not tried Mr. and Mrs. Peace, oh it's you yourself that get over there and try and find out why so many of your neighbors and friends love dining at Mr. and Mrs. Peace.
There are very few times that I have driven by that that driveway is not packed full of cars and there's a reason for it.
Mr. and Mrs. Peace, come and enjoy something good to eat.
If you need food for the drive-thru, give them a call.
920-896-0696 or talk to Kimberly from that same number and get catering information.

Here's my buddy Hank Thundander.
No, that ain't Hank.

From a jack to a king From loneliness to a wedding ring I play an ace and I'll want a queen Walked away with your heart From a jack to a king With no regrets I stacked the cards last night Lady Luck played her hand just right And made me king of your heart
Just a little while I thought that I might lose the game But just in time I saw the twinkle in your eyes From a jack to a king From holiness to a wedding ring I played it as soon as I won a queen You made me king of your heart
Just a little while I thought that I might lose the game But just in time I saw the twinkle in your eyes From a jet to a king From holiness to a wedding ring I played an ace and I won a queen And walked away with your
That was Dennis on the vocal with Steve Dennis, of course Carol, with Carol Niquinos doing a nice job.
During the summer of my freshman year before I entered high school, my parents relocated just down the road several miles.
and I was really surprised to learn that the new place where we moved into was the first property in Kiwani County to have electricity.
Up until that time, all people milked in the barns and in the house, he had lanterns.
But that farmer was innovative.
He ordered a windmill generator that would make electricity so that he could wire his house, his garage, and even his barn and chicken coop to electricity generated from the wind.
Well, today we don't look to that.
We look to Heatly Electric.
When our lights go out, we turn to guys that deal with electrical problems day in and day out.
If your problems with your lights are flickering, give the Heatly Boys a call right here in town at 920-748-7786.
And you don't have to put up your own windmill generator to make electricity.
Just call the Heatly Boys.
John and Danny, 920-748-7786.
And let them keep your lights on for you.
They sure are a nice bunch of great guys here.
the Heatly Boys.
I see them out and about every day that fans are moving and helping people get their power restored.
Let's all say a prayer this evening before we retire for all of those less fortunate up on the Fox Valley.
The last week and a half, two weeks that terrible tornado went through and left so much devastation.
We had that several years ago when those lateral winds came through by us as well.
Well, we got Craig Igbo on this band called Diversical and they're gonna do a song entitled I Believe it is called by my cradle great

Good job there little buddy great people if you ask him, do you know a tuba?
He's oh you bet I do That's the scary part maybe because I owe everybody money is that possible?
I don't know have you been watching the political climate in the country with all these Communist parts of the democratic faction trying to take over it scares the bejesus out of me personally, but
You know, I just hope all the people that ordinarily don't vote for these midterm elections get out and vote this year, especially in Wisconsin, because I know the Democratic Communist Party would like to take over and do so many changes to our country and it scares me a lot, especially for my grandchildren and great-grandchildren to come.
So if you're concerned and you never vote, well, get out this year and vote.
I urge you to do that and urge your friends to do likewise.

Talking about the chicken poker.
I love the chicken.
We pick up once a week from our local Hive grocery store.
You got to try their chicken around 11 o'clock every morning, broasted or rotisserie chicken.
The one thing different about the broasted and rotisserie, I'll tell you, is if you only use half and eat half of your rotisserie chicken, it heats up really easy in the microwave, if you say that half of the chicken.
Well, Father and Son, Stephen and Vern Meister are coming up.
El Real Drive, let's
go.
Some things never change.
For families where you have both working spouses, you kind of watch your day-to-day expenses, your week expenses, your monthly expenses, then of course you have your yearly expenses too.
By that I mean your property taxes, your responsibilities for medical care for your family members, etc.
And the weight weighs heavy on many families.
American family insurance, you realize one of the things that is really a necessity for families today is adequate insurance.
and try to hold on these expensive costs because it seems like so many times we wonder things are getting any cheaper.
I invite you to call our insurance agent, Brad Taglia-Pietra, and talk to Ginny and Brenda if Brad is up, but at least get a quote and find out how they can save you some money.
After all, you have other things to spend your investment dollars on.
Located at 120 Watson Street in downtown Ripon, give them a call.
Their phone number is 9207485031.

When I waltz with you, it's like waltz in our hair.
I'm hopelessly lost in your charms.
Yes, it's true.
Because nobody wants it like you.
Top of the world, and I feel so carefree.
You saved your last horse, the one but me.
And my heart will dance in my dreams the night through.
Nobody walks whose body bleeds.
You saved your last wants, but no one but me And my heart will dance in my dreams the night through Nobody waltzes like you Nobody waltzes, nobody waltzes
That's pretty nice, huh?
Nobody waltzes like you.
That was Ritchie Yerkovich and his bam.
Nice stuff.

If you're a current car you're still happy with, but you still got to get it serviced.
Make sure before you leave for any trip you had the oil change if it's due.
The tires are checked with proper air inflation and you have good tire tread on because you don't want to lose your ability to steer your car if we get a sudden rain deluge.
your car will start hydroplaning and the car will literally drop just a little centimeter off the pavement and you will lose control if you don't have good tire tread.
Plus if your car has been sitting out under the hot baking sun for several days those windshield wipers will dry out.
and you will not get a clean, visible windshield, you know, when it goes back and forth.
Homan Ford and Homan Auto Group, 1036.
What's fun, actually.
Give them a call, have your car taken care of, or trade it in and get top dollar.

Well I got to get Joe P at Mr. and Mrs. P's quotable quote for today and here it is.
People are impressed if you know anything about professional sports.
So if you're a senior citizen getting a little older, people are really are impressed if you know anything at all about professional sports.
I'm impressed.
I don't know.
very much of all professional sports and I'm a senior citizen myself.
Hey, let's get back into some more music.
We got cut ten year.
It's done by the Good Time
Ralph Tall in a good time, Dutchman.
Yep, August 18th of 2018.
I wrote it down in my little spiral binder here.
And imagine that in another week and a half or so.
We will have been here eight years already on Wednesday nights.
Wow.
Have you been there a part of it every Wednesday evening for that period of time?
Let's see what's happening at Binds and Rushes.
The Pro was family.
Chuck and Diane and of course Ryan and his family and all the staff.
I want to thank all you good folks for turning out this past weekend for their customer appreciation event.
They had two bands on Saturday.
They even had one the night before.
Coming up this Friday, Guy Parker will be there at Vines and Rushes from 5.30 to 8.30.
On Saturday afternoon, this Saturday on the 8th, from 2 to 5, Adam Lambrek will be returning.
Free entertainment, never a cover charge to come inside.
They have delicious thin crust pizza.
You can tell them what ingredients you want on.
You can pile the ingredients on two inches thick if you want.
They'll do it for you.
They even have blue-eyed blonde beer from Canoes Beer here on tap as well.
So try that if you don't want some of their delicious wines that they make right there.
That's right, at Vines and Rushes, 410 County Road E, North Ripon.
They have different hours during the week and even on Sunday and Saturday for wine tasting.
So, no matter if you have some unexpected guests, come and try some wine during the week.
Otherwise, Monday, Thursday, Friday, evenings from 4 to 8, they make pizzas.
And then, of course, Saturday afternoons.
They do not make any pizzas on Sunday, although the wine tasting room is open Sunday afternoon.
Give them a call, check out the times, and all the other upcoming entertainment at Vines and Rushes.
And thanks again, everybody, for making Vines and Rushes part of your routine for going out and having a good time.
748-3296, that's your phone number.
748-3296, order a pizza, dine in or pick up.
And also, how about finding out when the wine tasting room is open.
Back to some more music we go.

Mark Villadol in his band from Nebraska doing a dandy job for you.
Well, the Horkon Bank are with us, John and Jeff and the rest of the staff.
And if you've been there lately, you see that they're making some changes.
Re-siding the exterior, changing some windows and things around.
But that doesn't, should not deter you from visiting our local hurricane bank.
You can still enter the building on the west side of the building.
That's right.
So if you want to come inside, you can do that.
But the drive-thru is still operational Monday through Friday.
The virtual tele-service bank system that they set up at our local highway grocery store still functions as well.
And you can do all the same banking transactions you would do inside the Horakai Bank in downtown Riven at a local high v store, you know, except take out a loan.
John and Jeff are at the main bank.
There you have to go.
745-2265.
And many thanks to all you folks for putting up with the construction that they're doing at the Horakai Bank.
Over 120 years, I guess, they've been in business.
That's a long time helping young families get started on their path to financial security.
It's always a good idea to save a few bucks out of every paycheck.
whenever you get an opportunity.
745-2265, it spells bank on your phone.
745-B-A-N-K, that's 2265, the Horakon Bank.
Remember FDIC, you're equal housing lender.
Like I say, come in from the west side of the downtown Horakon Bank while they try to finish up all this new
construction and renovation.
Really good stuff there at the Horkon Bay.
Nice people.
Let's play another quick song here.
We got one coming up here.
It's done by the Top Notchman.
But the sound I got from squeezing That's the sound I love the best I pay too much attention To my accordion you see My baby said why squeeze it When you could be squeezing me That sound you make is lovely It rings so clear and true But you will see by squeezing
Well, we're
gonna hop all over the place on this topic tonight.
It's the world's worst.
Going back early in the 2000s, this you might find interesting.
The grand banks of Newfoundland, Canada are blanketed by heavy fog
for an average of one out of every three days, often for weeks at a time.
People have to deal with fog.
I don't think I'd like that.
Would you care for that?
Here's one.
When King Harold Grensky of Norway proposed marriage to Queen Ziegfried Serata of Denmark in 996, she had him executed.
Talk about losing your head over somebody.
I guess he literally did.
Here's one.
voting era in the 1928 Nigerian presidential election, Charles King beat Thomas Faulkner by 600,000 votes.
Well the one problem was that Nigeria only had 15,000 registered voters.
I'll read that again.
The winner won by 600,000 votes.
The problem was it only had 15,000 registered voters.
You guys got to get out and vote this fall.
I tell you, you really got to get out and vote.
Here's one.
Workers spent 90 years building the church of Corsus in Spain.
The day after it was finished, 90 years later, it completed in 1629, it collapsed.
Who was the manager of this building project?
Took him 90 years and a day after they thought it was done, it felt to pieces.
According to a recent survey, online travel service Expedia, they said that the Britons in England are the rudest, meanest, and worst behaved holiday makers in the world.
And finally, did you know that quarterback Warren Moon, remember him?
He fumbled the ball 161 times during his 17 year career.
Talk about fumbling the ball.
161 times in 17 years and they still kept him in?
Oh well, maybe they didn't have many choices.
Back to some more music.
We got Jerry Schneider in the band.
No, that's Carol Nekinos again.
We had them earlier.
I wanted to put Jerry up here.
Oh, yeah, that was Kramer's poker.
Let's do Jerry on this one here.
Okay, let's get it right.
arrangements used to be nearly the same for every person in a family or community.
For better or worse, things are a lot more complicated today.
There are many choices, costs, and personal expressions to choose from.
Pre-planning a funeral has become more important than ever.
Buttsene Margin Funeral Home in Ripon has been here for you since 1896 and we continue to be here for you.
Call anytime at 748-2623 to schedule an appointment and thank you for your trust in us.
Thank you, Chris.
If you should suddenly pass away, what would you want other people to remember you for or buy?
For myself, I would want people to know that I was a Christian, and I love my God, I love my family, I love my community, and I love all the people around that helped me make who I was.
When we leave this world, and God gives us our heavenly reward, hopefully all of us can be there someday, it's nice to know that Buttein Marchion is here.
to take care of those final arrangements for us.
On top of the hill, on Mayparty Drive, it's Budsene Marching Funeral.
Turn to them the next time you need help.
My little buddy Kenny Brant there with his saxophone and one entitled The Green Valley.
Most of us consumers would agree that if we find a business with the products and our services that we're very happy with, we'll return to that business for their products or whatever they can provide us with comfortable things.
Brewer heating and cooling is such a company that Korg and I have returned to for as long as we've been living here on Olden Road.
The technicians are wonderful.
They come out and check our air conditioning system in spring before they're called into service, our air conditioning unit, and also our furnace in early fall, or I should say actually mid fall, before it starts getting cool.
You never know when you want to turn on your heating system for the wintery months.
so many of us being creatures of habit we know that we like to do things our own way so you might like your house set really cool I might like it just a little bit warmer but no matter what our preference is Brewer heating and cooling will make sure that whatever temperature we desire we can choose it Brewer heating and cooling on North Douglas Street give them a call the next time your furnace or air conditioning unit needs a little attention 748 64

Get over to Ripon's West Side and get a hold of some fresh vegetables for your dining table.
Could be for a noon lunch or a nice big dinner entree.
Get all your vegetables.
Your sweet corn is awesome.
The melons.
I haven't got a bad melon yet this year from them.
That's at Bandie Brinks on Ripon's website.
When you see them, let them know you listen to the show, okay?
I would really appreciate that.
Let's do a song before we get into our community calendar.
We got a dandy one coming up here.
It's done by Becky and Ivan O. Dutchman.
you
Hey, how about that, Becky?
I have an old Dutchman there, nice little snappy polka.
Let's check out some birthdays brought to you by Lee Beverage, our captains of industry in Oshkosh, distributors of adult beverage, you know, beer of all different flavors and sun-drop soda.
When you see those big trucks at the intersection, wait till the driver and give him enough room to make those tight corners, okay, with those semis?
Lee Beverage and Oshkosh, we thank them for giving up their time to do this.
Alan Keppy from Iowa had a birthday yesterday Caroline Mueller Gladys Earl Jolene Diley and Lorraine Wunch all had birthdays yesterday on the 7th.

Keith Getterman coming up.
you
A little bit of the puppet dancer, Julie Lee, in white roles all the way from, I think it's Fargo, North Dakota, around that area is where she and Hugo live.
Nice young lady and her husband, two good friends of ours, for many, many, many decades.
I guess you can say one of the perks of doing this show for almost 56 years, here's Julie, is I got to meet a lot of musicians, I think because they are good people, plus I like their style and all the different varieties.
Hopefully they appreciate the fact that I play their music too.
Our local Ivy Grocery store has a new manager, her name is Simeen.
Simeen is her name.
A young lady originally from Iowa, moving here to Wisconsin, and she's taken over.
Phil Hammermeister got a promotion, and Simeen is really coming up to the ranks too, working away from one store to the next.
And you know, when you get promoted like that, sometimes you got to pick up all your roots and relocate.
I invite you to stop into our local high V grocery store and get acquainted with Samin, really a nice young lady.
I had a lengthy conversation the other day with her and she's all excited about meeting all of our poker friends.
So get over to the local high V grocery store, six o'clock in the morning to 10, seven days a week.
She gets into the store early every day because she's concerned about making sure everything is just right.
in preparation for your visit.
If you're looking for something and they don't have it, she'll get it for you.
She's that kind of person.
So get over to the local Hy-Vee grocery store and say howdy howdy to Samin, the new store manager at our local Hy-Vee grocery store.
And like I said earlier at the beginning of the show, come after 11 o'clock and pick up as much of the broasted or rotisserie chicken right out of the cookers.
You can't go wrong.
Good food.
at our local Hivey grocery store.

We got a dandy song coming up here.
It's a song done by Jimmy Monson and a Frankie Ankovich style.
Do you know that you're my sunshine?
She was standing in the crowd All alone looking pretty Listening to the music that we played She walked up and whispered I leaned down and listened To the request that she made Only to know you are my son She had so sweet and tenderly Do you know you are my son?
And would you do it one more time for me?
Border to border and ocean to ocean I still look for her every place Chasing the sunshine each and every night I'm searching every ground for her face
She was born just as quick as the song that she asked for Taken by sunshine away But someday when I finally look down and see her I know just what I'm gonna say Do you know you are my sunshine?
Do you know what you smiled into me?
Do you know
You are my sunshine It looks like you're always gonna be Oh, do you know?
You are my sunshine
You know what you smile good to me You know You are my sunshine And with you, one more time for me Nicely done, Jimmy Munson in the band from Don't Solve We got yours, Julie, the Tupadan family band
And one for all you folks that are enjoying the weather, Tyrolean Summer

It's Bex for the very best and happy eating.
Like I say, nothing compares to the flavor and taste you get on a grill that is a burger made or something on the grill.
It is always so delicious.
On our show today we want to also thank our good friends at Modern Rentals, Craig Leahy and his staff.
They know how important it is for you and when it's time to cut the grass to make sure your lawnmowers
are all ready to go.
Be a good cleaning of the decks, sharpening the blades, checking the air filters and so often, especially this summer, I noticed that there was so much stuff flying around.
The winged dandelions, those little white fluffy things flying around, they get in your air filters and it restricts the amount of air going into the engine.
Make sure you have that checked periodically because it can really ruin an engine and the oil level too.
as homeowners it's up to us to check our oil level not just put air in the tires or gas in the tank but check the oil level too so you don't burn up your engine get your engine service once a year and make sure your lawnmowers lawnmowers are always in tip-top shape tons of landscaping material there
and also Toro and Husqvarna riding and walk behind lawnmowers.
All the different things you need for all their outdoor tasks you can rent power equipment there too.

That's a nice snappy one, Nero Zunker and Music Connection from Wausau.
I don't know if you folks remember this, maybe I told you several years ago, but when I turned 21 years of age, I was playing with the Dick Rogers band already, I booked Johnsonville, Laxall and Johnsonville for my public birthday dance.
Had free beer for the first hour.
I also hired a very young band from that area, Irwin Herzog and his orchestra, to double.
We had over 425 people at that dance, and that was the old ballroom, where they only had the bar upstairs to serve drinks.
So you had to wait in line if you wanted something.
The bathrooms weren't too big either.
It wasn't many decades later that they added on downstairs and put downstairs restrooms and a bigger bar to handle the flow.
Anyway, that would be 56 years ago.
And that's just about how long I'd been on the radio, 56 years.
Long time time sure by passes by pretty fast doesn't it huh?
We got some more music coming up for you right now.

Over the many years that we had our little band we played for a lot of church picnics and they were all wonderful and St.
John's over in Princeton they really knew how to put things together.
All the other churches did too for that matter.
I particularly had very fond memories and wonderful friends over in that area so make sure you check out Tony's Burger and Broadstand over there too or get a chicken barbecue dinner.
