They will when they get it, instead of being in imminent danger, it's like they don't take anything like they're ready to.
rock and roll just because and they will get into a disagreement with a man or a woman.
So whoever it is that is the firearm brandisher or, you know, the firearm, they get into it.
And the first thing they do.
is put their hand in their purse, if that's where they have it, or they waste man or wherever they may have that weapon, they end up putting their hand on it like now.
Like, so what did you say?
So argument, in my opinion, that probably could have been resolved without taking it to that level.
Yeah.
Or you could have just said, you know what, this ain't worth it
of
And I say like mental health people that are dealing with mental health who have not addressed their mental health issues.
They are the ones that'll be real quick
to
not only when you say something that they don't like, they're going to pull a gun
out.
Right.
And if you're not going to use it, people should not even know that you got it.
There it is.
But if you are now trying to feel like, yeah, say it again in, you ain't gonna do nothing.
I got something for you.
Don't lie, you giving yourself away.
You giving yourself away.
Learn to settle it with conflict resolution.
And even if the person wants to still be belligerent or ignorant, those are words.
Those are words.
And
face
do it like that.
That's why having a wheel and all of that stuff is so, so important.
Power of attorney, medical and all of that financial, all of those things, which again, you can learn it on the journey with Coach Erica.
But yeah, just the importance of having some of these things.
But when you go out there on your emotions and you let and react off of that, you're going to be in a situation that you're going to regret
you gotta think about the consequences before you get to do all of that Remember, you know people get out here there in these DV situations and all the things and they got their kids in tow They got you know all the things and you don't think you know you going out here to fight back at a fight or do whatever you gonna do But you're not taking the time to think what about my kids.
Yep.
of
being upset or mad at whoever That may have verbally threatened you or whatever the case may be if you can walk black to your car Or walk black inside your home you were no longer in imminent danger
anything you do after that was premeditated because you went specifically to go to your vehicle to retrieve your weapon.
Hopefully you wouldn't retrieve
a weapon.
And you go black into the volatile
situation.
You went and got that weapon for a reason.
If you were able to go black in your home, oh, oh, that's what we're going to do.
I'll be right black and you going, you are no longer in imminent danger.
So when you come out of that home, you got something on your mind.
You done already said when I go black out, Oh, it's going down.
That is premeditated people.
I just need y'all to understand that.
I need you to understand it because I don't want you to have to go to prison and you ain't got to.
You can call law enforcement and let them come handle it and do what they got to do But if you go in there, oh, I'd be right black.
Oh, I'm going to the car What was that white man came jump in Marcus?
When he left what did most of the people do on the playground?
Exactly
I'm just saying we got a lot that we do have to Read on our YouTube page and Carly and the poll is still going.
What's the poll Bailey?
black.

The house
Jasmine Gooden said, I love firearms.
It's just my born right to make sure our government.
Don't try nothing or we get invaded by the ops Dale max said you have to have a gun in the world.
We live in today Blake Gump said 110 shells two people shot in phone lines at 833 I don't know what he was doing and
I
Oh He put phone lines 833, but then he put 25
I and of those were found in front of my house.
What the, you know, no, no, I don't, I don't Blake Gump.
I just felt like I lost a few brain cells trying to read that, but I can appreciate that.
You know, it's different Bailey.
It's difficult.
Okay.
It's difficult when you know how to read.
If I saw that there's some.
self-made authors that they put out books that I don't know who they got checking them before they put them out.
He's supposed to get a copy and be like, okay, yeah, they took the mainstream.
They
Okay.
Don't hate me because I can read.
Grown and tatted said, I own multiple firearms for range and protection.
I keep them away from my kids.
Exactly.
Jasmine Gooden said, I taught mine firearms safety immediately so it isn't something they feel is a toy or enticing to them.
I even take them to the range to shoot various weapons.
It's proper training as a parent.

In my opinion, Del max said it'd be 90 degrees outside and you got five people walking towards you with mask on my mind, automatic turn on defense.
And that's how it's got to be in the world today.
I needed a cold said it's so important to complete your health and screening checks as we were talking about that With the pink and blue summit Will D9 said good morning.
It costs too much to own a gun bullets are averaging a dollar It's crazy here in the US.
It's easier to buy slash get a gun than to vote for us black people
Aaron is him great morning.
Jasmine Jazz we said no, I don't have a firearm, but I would consider getting a BB gun I took martial arts when I was younger Yep, if you're in close proximity that works unless you can do the flying tiger The crouching tiger and all of that because if they over there The moves look cool
I might come up in the Bruce Lee era.
All the sounds.

Okay.
All right.
All right.

You know, right?
Yeah.
But anyway, let me get black and grab my composure.
Will denies that a lot of people sitting in jail right now, which they never use their gun.

That hindsight when them silver bracelets Aaron is him said when I had a gun, I was more peaceful because I didn't want the problems of hurting someone.
Cool.
Laurent Taylor said caffeine is also liquid confidence.
See the guy at Popeyes on North Avenue and we played a clip and we know we weren't because the language.
But yeah, yeah, but yeah, for $7.50, he was ready to throw his life away.
That part really think about that seven.
This is where I'm saying with conflict resolution.
Listen, if they didn't give you your $7.50 black, they have a corporate office that they have to answer.
And even though I may have wanted my $7.50 black, I know how to follow the line of what I need to do.
I am not gonna sit in here and argue with somebody and I'm damn sure not gonna not gonna say I'm gonna kill you like right that That I'm not gonna do so this is where I say, you know, you you really have to think and if you got some Undealt with mental health problems or issues then I'm not trying to hear your excuse after you done something crazy
Yeah.
And you may give up your freedom because of that.
You know, yes.
Aaron and Sam said, uh, LT, I never thought about caffeine like that, but it makes sense.
Uh, Lauren said, Aaron, those energy drinks will get you going, uh, built with Shahid.
Great morning.

up.
Hold up.
Hold up.
Well, I do have one, but it's in my house.
But what I don't understand is why do everybody feel they got to carry all these guns just to go to the gas station?
What are you doing in your life that you got to carry two pit bulls, a nine millimeter, a Draco, and an AR-15 just to go get gas?
I feel this is a psychological warfare that strip away at your soul and your spirit.
Because you put it in the universe, you're going to have to shoot somebody.
And 90% of the time, you don't got that kind of money to pay the attorney.
You already got a second mortgage on your house.
So why do all that?
I think it's self-destruct.
by government, to have everybody acting like a fool.
Everybody got pink pistols, everybody carrying pistols, but everybody is behind all we energies.
Everybody is on energy systems, but everybody got $300 in bullets.
You're only going to shoot somebody that look like you, because you're not going to shoot the people that's going to try to take from you or try to molest you or kill you.
So why do y'all carry all these guns?
And you know, there's a there's a sad cause and effect with that analogy out MKE because Because you notice that I notice that and I'm sure a lot of other people notice that I see them coming in the restaurants with the extended clip Out they pocket.
It's like they got the gun in a pocket
They wear some deep pocket jeans or and they have where you going to eat?
I haven't been to El Greco's inside.
Here's where I was
Here's where I was going out.
Okay.
I had to just say order in the studio Bailey.
Okay.
But because of that, the cause and effect of that.
And okay, it's good to hear that, that you don't, but because of that, when I would normally say, let's leave it at the house, but when I'm going to get gas and I know that I've seen people
that be up there with two Draco's.
And yeah, I'm like, uh-uh, I'm not going up here to start no trouble, but I'm also not coming up here to try to become a victim either.
So that's the cause and effect.
So people who would normally be like, I believe my weapon at the house, uh, you know, it's for the protection of my home and my family.
But when you know that you can go out and see people walking down the street with it, of course, you don't know.
Um, and I don't think they're doing it in the quote unquote open, uh, carry sense because it's in their pocket.
So it ain't like you could see the whole weapon, but you could see the extended clip.
So that's concealing.
That's concealing.
The only reason you see it is because of the extendo, the stick as they would call it.
You feel what I'm saying?
So, but then it intimidates people.
It's very intimidating when you go in there because it made you say, look, I don't even want to go here no more.
I don't I don't want to go to this one.
That's why I have a list of gas stations that I will not go to.
You're not wrong.
Oh my goodness.
If I do, I say little prayers, I pass by and that's it.
God got me, but listen.
Baby.
What?
Wait a minute.
I'm going to tell you a real true story.
Okay.
Kendall was probably about 14, 15 years old.
We rolling out.
We're driving through.
We go right down Fonda Lake and we're over there near, I don't know.
I don't know.
We passed by one of the old uh uh uh fruit markets or something like that.
Hey, you know, it's just nice bus line over there And we're at a stoplight and he says Mom that guy got a gun.
You should see me.
I was I was like, I'm gonna get a ticket today I know I am but was crossing the street and he was running his pants was going down and his gun was flailing in and out of his pants now if that gun was messed up how many bullets would have flew
From that point on I said we ain't drive through the hood no more.
You ain't got to worry about that sign.
We ain't doing that.
We not doing and we listen.
I go through there when I have to.
Okay?
I go when I have to.
This church is over.
It's the sad truth.
It's
true.
I'm a single female anything could anything could pop off and it I Mean listen one time I was over in the hood I Was coming back from a remote I needed to get some gas y'all know when we go out and do these remotes I need to get some gas one of your cousins
the Indian people or whatever had a gas station over there.
So I stopped to get some gas.
I gave the guy $20.
Now you had to pay before you pump.
I only wanted $5 worth of gas.
I was just trying to get back to my side of town.
I gave him $20.
He wouldn't give me any change.
I got my $5 worth of gas.
He wouldn't give me my change back.
I was like, you know what?
Really?
You going to do me like that?
He just started laughing.
See, because he thought I was he probably thought I was one of these.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And so, you know, I say that to say that I went I drove by that same area a few weeks later and I had seen it on the news, but I wanted to confirm it that it was the gas station that I went to.
They blew up that gas station over there.
Y'all play too much.
That was crazy.
I went right by there.
I was like, it was that gas station.
Same dude.
See, you play too much.
You know, it wasn't right.
But I'm just saying stuff like that happens.
But, you know, that's why I tried to just buy my business and stay in my
Don't touch that dial.
Truth in the Morning will be right back on 10170 Truth, the Truth app, and streaming live on 10170 Truth on YouTube.

Oh, good morning.
Great morning.
Good morning.
Be honest.
I do have one.
OK.
brand new.
I never used it.
I went to take the courses but I haven't found for my life.
But I've had it for years.
It is brand new still in the box.
I got a medal.
You know that thing
Yeah.
And it's been there for years.
And I don't know.
I was doing it.
I brought it because I was scared.
Because I'm staying in the house all by myself.
And my husband was real political.
You know, he worked for the unions and he was gone all the
So I was always by myself for actually, well, I felt a little protection, but I and I should have said they locked up and I took the cash not too long ago, but I still never took it out of the, uh, fowl, the cabinet that I put
And my, my belief is we can help people.
I really feel because if you look at this city, how it was rotten out by politics,
And I think you don't need the crime, but it's always black people that's waiting for it.
Because I live exactly where I have lived for years.
I got the house and said, we want.
And so I'm still here.
So I watched the deterioration of Milwaukee period.
I started reading.
You have to start reading about the politics of it.
you can see how landlords let the houses go down.
And then they were boarded up, and they stayed boarded up for years.
Now they're starting to chair them down, but they got a motive, because, like I said, this city knows years from now where they want to be.
And the thing is, we black people always feel that the fight, they're calling the hood for this, and then I say, I'm going to start calling this a paradise, because where I am, it's no houses.
They're tearing them down.
It's like burn man.
Maybe we can get together and grow some crops and conquer where it looks like Jill Gates and all the rest of them buying all the fine land and want to feed us poison stuff.
So I just have a thing that when we say we glad that our inner cities will call us to hood us, they put us all in one basket.
Even though you get a chance to get off and get on the first wave,
We're still, still because of our skin color, we put in the same bags that are being criminal.
And that's not true, because that's not a criminal.
If I have to say it's not weak, it's not weak.
If somebody committed a crime, and then white people, I mean, it was more of them that commit crimes.
You never, now I'm going to call it radio stations.
I'm going to listen to, because I don't listen to them, because I know how they are, because they're devil.
And I never heard them like Zimmerman.
He shoots, uh, three people killed two.
He, now they just talked about this 70 year old just had the gun.
Zimmerman got that, not Zimmerman, uh, right now.
That's what I'm talking
Right
what it is.
There's no written house.
It's right now.
He got out.
He wasn't supposed to have a gun.
Right.
Now this man is 17 year old that just shot somebody was supposed to have a gun either.
You know, it's always something I think crime is created by.
the politics of our situation.
And then a lot of times you've got the elite, you've got a status that's got to stay up.
You know, just think, the hospital, this and that, you have to find the kids, the kids, and you have to close all this down.
And I'm gonna tell you one more thing, I'm gonna hang up this phone.
A lot of times all this stuff is bad network because I've had situations where I had to go to the hospital and got bad networking.
and nursing homes, bad networking, and they're not getting the skills that you should get.
And so this is what you're in a crisis.
So I believe politically, crime is created politically.
And we have to go up after the right degree.
I'm gonna call them the maggots, the maggot bunch.
Yeah, uh, I do own a gun and, and let me tell you, man, I think I'm pretty conscious of the gun and I don't want to shoot nobody hurt nobody and I don't want to see nobody hurt.
But at the same time, now do I have it on me?
Next to never next to never I have to be in this setting that I feel I need it But at the same time, this is the way I feel I don't have a gun if something happened We can put them up and I fight you and I could take I could take a tail whooping to and I'm fine with that but We gonna both know we've been fighting now that gun have a family now It's at home
There's my one of my greatest fears.
My greatest fear.
Mm-hmm.
Is is is Seeing my son seeing me and daddy don't put up a great effort to control this And that's the only reason because when those come in front of me and I got the equal to playing field and just don't come in my house Do whatever you want to do mind your business.
I'm on my
same time
Gotta I have a son and I want my son to be a stand-up man, and I'm not saying I'm not saying that by far, but I'm saying You have to control your house, and you don't let no one come behind Joe though.
That's this my house You do whatever you want in front of the house off my property But in my house You can be the police right don't control in here
not in here now when I come out You know
your game okay
thank you trade
All
I'm going to be out literally on vacation.
I'm not on assignment.
If I was on assignment, that means I'm still working.
I will not be working.
I will be out from this Friday as in tomorrow.
