They went to the hospital, but their injuries weren't as serious, but his and his passenger.
uh, were life threatening injuries, but you know, they done a surgery or two on him, but he ended up succumbing to his injuries, uh, on yesterday.
So just want to send out condolences, uh,

DJ that was, uh, you know, very up and coming, uh, got to do a lot of great things by being the DJ for, for, for a big Frank and JP.
Uh, so condolences to DJ Kwan's family and to everybody who's affected in the community.
By the loss of this 18 year old brother We got to get ready to take care of some bills and also the late Bridget Blackman hissing makeup She ended up passing away a couple of days ago

Just a very started a lot of the hairstylists and those doing eyebrows and all of that and started their careers or gave them opportunities at her shop.
Her son, Day Day came a great friend of mine.

We are talking about the update as it relates to the situation with the Milwaukee police shooting that took place here in Milwaukee.
Milwaukee police officer was hurt and a suspect was killed in an exchange of gunfire on the city's north side on Tuesday, September 8th.
MPD said officers chased a suspect vehicle in a Glendale shots fired investigation and two suspects got out and ran after the pursuit ended so I want to Give there was a lot of information that was given in a statement that was put out And I'm trying to make sure that I get the source of that.
I think it was the police association, right?
And so she called the police and of course they ended up finding the car.
and him and as they were doing what they ended up feeling like they needed to do to try to get him and the chase and all of that was still going on.
Then it was maybe I believe like a day later because the shots fired incident in Glendale happened on September 7th.
So obviously they weren't able to find him.
at the time that that ended up taking place.
So that's when some duties, some patrol officers were on duty and happened to see the car and they tried to pull the car over.
So Alex Ayala is the president of the Milwaukee Police Union, Milwaukee Police Union.

He ended up, you know, talking about what ended up happening and the identity again of the 23 year old man is Prentice Smith condolences to the family.

But yeah, it was the police chief, Jeffrey Norman, said officer reportedly ordered the suspect to the ground, but the suspect refused and the two exchanged gunfire.
Now, by this video that.
Circulating circulating around on Facebook and social media We hear some children that were there and a

This is not a completed investigation or not
They said that they saw him shoot at the law enforcement officer.

shooting that ended up taking the life of Sonya 58 year old Sonya and but that Detroit situation also showed and we can say it happens everywhere if we want to but
Oh, and when I say everywhere, you know, people be like, well, you know, white people do it, too.

One of the sad things, Bailey.

One of the sad things.
I saw the interaction.

But yeah, one of the bad things about it is it was so many black men that were standing there that could have intervened and stopped that whole situation from happening in my opinion.
This is just for me and I know um I don't know if I you know sent you that video but like I said it's something that I would not share with anybody else because you actually see it was on social media though but I'm just one not to like publicly try to share that type of trauma and tragedy as if it's not bad enough if it it wasn't bad enough that these young children that were filming they've seen it before in their community so they weren't afraid
to walk towards a body which they clearly was saying he did.

No men no men stepped up to intervene in Detroit with that
58 year old woman.
Her name is Sonia.
I forgot her last name, but I know her first name is Sonia and a lot of her family and friends are, you know, talking on news about it and things to that nature.
But none of the men Bailey and I talk about this kind of stuff all the time.
They didn't intervene to like say, Hey, look, man, no, it ain't like that.
They could have easily, you know, she did allegedly brandish a weapon as well because.

It could have been prevented in my opinion.
They could have told her life.

But you got so many people that will just stand by.

But the one that filmed it, she was egging the woman on like, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Like, oh, and then when she ended up getting shot, oh, he he's not.
And then she walks up and show her body, which definitely appears her eyes open and appeared like she was, you know, this dead on the scene type of situation.
But oh, why y'all do that?
You you up there egging the woman on that part.
So it's crazy.
We got to do better.
But yeah, as the body camera footage is released publicly in 15 days.
But I believe, like I say, the family will be able to see it sooner than that.

And be able to kind of see what law enforcement saw and what they were up against and why this took place.

The ego is a very fragile thing.
So I believe that there are a lot of men who have experienced it and some women that are looking at men that are being talked to like that and like, oh, I wouldn't let me move out the way.
They'll move out the way because it's like, oh, it's coming.

However, I will also say that women, you know, for example, when I see a system that's like that, whether it's going that route, I'll say, what happened before this?
Because generally speaking, now there are some women that will make other men pay for what somebody else does.
That they will, you know, and it's all about people entering a relationship or a situation ship without healing from the prior things and knowing, you know, people have to know that, you know, just because he did that doesn't mean that he's going to do that or she or whatever.

And I think that.
When you go there you got to be careful because a lot of times the reason women do that is because they've been disappointed by that person prior Sometimes it's that person sometimes it's not but by men in general since we're being in general and some women just need to know like You know, I got this it's okay, and I'm not gonna disappoint that way.

So instead of just like, let's focus on the issue that we're talking about with women, you'll hear a lot of women say, but man do it too.
And it's like, and even when they say it, it's not normally in a, let's, let's continue to converse about this.
It's usually said.
in a facetious type manner like well man do it too who you think we got it from so instead of just saying look okay this is a question for women and if you have to now interject men into the situation instead of just really answering it for
Women you don't know what I'm saying is when we end up that's just like with men that say well the woman made the women do it too, bro We haven't a man Conversation if we're having a man conversation stop bringing them talk about your thoughts talk about the things that you are not doing
Uh, right?
Or the things that you need to correct and how you need to correct those things, it's not going to help if we just keep blaming each other because we don't get to a solution because it's the blame game that just continues to happen.
And so when you, in the end, after the session, you're like, okay, well, what do we accomplish?
We broke through the same sugar, honey, I see.
So you ain't, you know what I'm saying?
So for me, I'm like, can we just address it?
Like, so when we talk about the boy.
need the father and they like okay well we say the girls need the mother and they like and it's like well because her daddy ain't here if the man stepped up it's like hold on let's deal with our thoughts and our responsibilities in this area before just trying to deflect it
On to somebody else and that happens so often when we're trying to have Conversations with men and women.
I'm not saying us I'm just saying in general when people are talking yeah, because that's why that's why but that's why I tried to give the balance when that comment was made on The YouTube page to say like look again, I understand it's cause and effect

Of course, we were talking about situations that was brought up obviously on the YouTube page as it relates to some of the DV that ends up taking place in our community.
I mean, it takes place everywhere, but you know, we know that we hear a lot about it and we sometimes pay more attention when it's in our community.
And I get it.
and me just answering like that question like, yeah, there's some provoking that goes on.
And is it done on both sides?
Yes.
But when we're trying to get to a solution, like if we're saying ladies, what do you think it's going to take to get the young girls to understand how important their mind, body and soul is?
the first thing that some of them say, well, you got to keep away from me, you know, this idea, but what can you do as a woman to instill the values and the morals that you have that let you know how to properly not sell yourself short, so to speak, or this and the other.
And the same can happen with men.
And like I say, I call it the mirror effect.
And I don't think we get to a solution because before you know it, it's arguing.
You know, it's like, it's the men against the women.
It's like, no, it's the girls against the boy.
No, there are times where we're going to do some co-ed stuff.
But right now, if you are trying to teach a girl how to become a young lady, what are the things that you want to do?
And if you end up going into the men, the men, the men is really taking away.
unfairly in my opinion on what you feel a young girl should be.
What a young woman add the progression of it all of things that she needs to do to keep her crown on if she's a princess and then going to be a queen.
It's not him.
Blake, from what I've learned, it's self pride.
The man is the prize and the woman is the treasure he must always protect.

You got one chance to disrespect me and I'm out.
If we can't talk it out like adults, why are we here?

You know, you have to be able to sit down, especially if you're in a relationship, sit down and talk to somebody.

But if you're out just out here, there's a lot of people that are just out here.
You know, having babies by people they shouldn't be having babies by.
There are men circles and and in those without blaming the other.
What can you do to make yourself better?
What do you need to improve if you need it?
Like if I'm sitting down and I talked to a lot of brothers that are dealing with different situations and I'm like right you truly need anger management classes because you are not you know, you're trying to just Blame blame blame, but you're not taking any self accountability and when people don't take self accountability
To me, it compounds the problem because you're going to always try to, yeah, but then she say it and be like, bruh, but what did you say?
What did you do?
What triggers you?
If you see that, then you need to stay away from those things.
If when this happens, then this is what you need to do as a man.
So you don't end up in.
What is it community reintegration center?
Whatever it's called the house correction now, but anyway, so you don't end up spending your life behind bars because instead of going and dealing with your triggers that You are saying well the the women be said, okay, bro, you know, but what can you do for you?

What can make you not pick up a gun and say I'm gonna go kill her whole family.

You know, we think and talk about how white people sometimes some of them may not want us to succeed it, but we don't even try to look at the fact that it's a lot of men that are trying to keep some of us.
Stun it in growth and they don't, they want to gate keep everything.
I'm really open and if I can try to help another brother, I will do that.
I will work to do.
The best that I can now I can only do the best that I can and sometimes people may want more but it's like I don't have more to give and people have to be okay with Knowing that that's it like this is the length of my cable so I don't have any more to give Because then they want to try to drain you and it's like look I'm not going to you know Both of us ain't gonna drown I'm gonna let you know some of the
say the maneuvers and some of the things that you can do to try to help me to help you.
But now if you're not doing your part and you want me to still try to lift us both up at the same time and we're both experiencing the same trauma, that's not gonna work.

I Don't know but from everybody around him.

I didn't see him doing it, but I saw it
And I'm like,
I need to
just have that real personal heart to heart conversation with him, not in any environment where any outside people are, but to just really sit down and.
If he has to become emotional as we talk about it, I need it for him to let it out.
I need him to be able to talk about it like for real and not be judged by me in the conversation that we will have about it.
But it's a real situation that if he doesn't do anything about it, he'll be dead before the end of the year.
the thing is, you have to find it within yourself to have those conversations with people that God puts it on your heart to talk to about different things.
Even if they don't let you know about it, but somebody else comes to you about it, it's important that you do your part.

There were you know seven of us so they could have said we ain't doing none of that but instead they had us like a Christmas time filling stockings for other kids You know they had us doing the work as well.
And so I think it's just it's just about everybody being able If they can see their way through to

You know and you can teach your kids you think you can't but look you can go to the Dollar Tree Get some socks.
They always have socks on sale right dollar 25 you could probably get you six pair That's something that homeless people always want to need or unhoused people whatever you want to call them these days Take those Take the tags and everything off fold them together like normal
and drop them
You don't have to go all out.
Drop them off at a homeless shelter.
And boom, you want to give?

Again, you can go to the Dollar Tree, get some food, some cans of food for $1.25.

It's a lot that cannot.
The ego is a very fragile thing.
So I believe that there are a lot of men who have experienced it and some women that are looking at men that are being talked to like that and like, oh, I wouldn't let me move out the way.

However, I will also say that women, you know, for example, when I see a system that's like that, whether it's going that route, I'll say, what happened before this?
Because generally speaking, now there are some women that will make other men pay for what somebody else does.
That they will, you know, and it's all about people entering a relationship or a situation ship without healing from the prior things and knowing, you know, people have to know that, you know, just because he did that doesn't mean that he's going to do that or she or whatever.

When you go there you got to be careful because a lot of times the reason women do that is because they've been disappointed by that person prior Sometimes it's that person sometimes it's not but by men in general since we're being in general and some women just need to know like You know, I got this it's okay, and I'm not gonna disappoint that way.

So instead of just like, let's focus on the issue that we're talking about with women, you'll hear a lot of women say, but man do it too.
And it's like, and even when they say it, it's not normally in a, let's, let's continue to converse about this.

in a facetious type manner like well man do it too who you think we got it from so instead of just saying look okay this is a question for women and if you have to now interject men into the situation instead of just really answering it for
Women you don't know what I'm saying is when we end up that's just like with men that say well the woman made the women do it too, bro We haven't a man Conversation if we're having a man conversation stop bringing them talk about your thoughts talk about the things that you are not doing

Or the things that you need to correct and how you need to correct those things, it's not going to help if we just keep blaming each other because we don't get to a solution because it's the blame game that just continues to happen.
And so when you, in the end, after the session, you're like, okay, well, what do we accomplish?

So for me, I'm like, can we just address it?

I mean, it takes place everywhere, but you know, we know that we hear a lot about it and we sometimes pay more attention when it's in our community.
And I get it.
and me just answering like that question like, yeah, there's some provoking that goes on.
And is it done on both sides?

But when we're trying to get to a solution, like if we're saying ladies, what do you think it's going to take to get the young girls to understand how important their mind, body and soul is?
the first thing that some of them say, well, you got to keep away from me, you know, this idea, but what can you do as a woman to instill the values and the morals that you have that let you know how to properly not sell yourself short, so to speak, or this and the other.
And the same can happen with men.
And like I say, I call it the mirror effect.
And I don't think we get to a solution because before you know it, it's arguing.
You know, it's like, it's the men against the women.
It's like, no, it's the girls against the boy.
No, there are times where we're going to do some co-ed stuff.
But right now, if you are trying to teach a girl how to become a young lady, what are the things that you want to do?
And if you end up going into the men, the men, the men is really taking away.
unfairly in my opinion on what you feel a young girl should be.
What a young woman add the progression of it all of things that she needs to do to keep her crown on if she's a princess and then going to be a queen.
It's not him.

The man is the prize and the woman is the treasure he must always protect.

Like if I'm sitting down and I talked to a lot of brothers that are dealing with different situations and I'm like right you truly need anger management classes because you are not you know, you're trying to just Blame blame blame, but you're not taking any self accountability and when people don't take self accountability
To me, it compounds the problem because you're going to always try to, yeah, but then she say it and be like, bruh, but what did you say?
What did you do?
What triggers you?
If you see that, then you need to stay away from those things.
If when this happens, then this is what you need to do as a man.
So you don't end up in.
What is it community reintegration center?
Whatever it's called the house correction now, but anyway, so you don't end up spending your life behind bars because instead of going and dealing with your triggers that You are saying well the the women be said, okay, bro, you know, but what can you do for you?

may have alcohol problems or drug problems and talking about where they came from and how they were able to look at themselves and pull themselves up and stop waiting and depending on some other people who may have been the reason that they were stuck and stunted in their growth because sometimes there are other black men that don't want to see black men really achieve.
You know, we think and talk about how white people sometimes some of them may not want us to succeed it, but we don't even try to look at the fact that it's a lot of men that are trying to keep some of us.
Stun it in growth and they don't, they want to gate keep everything.
I'm really open and if I can try to help another brother, I will do that.
I will work to do.
The best that I can now I can only do the best that I can and sometimes people may want more but it's like I don't have more to give and people have to be okay with Knowing that that's it like this is the length of my cable so I don't have any more to give Because then they want to try to drain you and it's like look I'm not going to you know Both of us ain't gonna drown I'm gonna let you know some of the

So I don't want to end up Speculating I'm going by you know, just letting people know that this is what we are hearing.

So We'll find out in the end with the body cam

We are talking about the update as it relates to the situation with the Milwaukee police shooting that took place here in Milwaukee.
Milwaukee police officer was hurt and a suspect was killed in an exchange of gunfire on the city's north side on Tuesday, September 8th.
MPD said officers chased a suspect vehicle in a Glendale shots fired investigation and two suspects got out and ran after the pursuit ended so I want to Give there was a lot of information that was given in a statement that was put out And I'm trying to make sure that I get the source of that.
I think it was the police association, right?
And so she called the police and of course they ended up finding the car.
and him and as they were doing what they ended up feeling like they needed to do to try to get him and the chase and all of that was still going on.
Then it was maybe I believe like a day later because the shots fired incident in Glendale happened on September 7th.
So obviously they weren't able to find him.
at the time that that ended up taking place.
So that's when some duties, some patrol officers were on duty and happened to see the car and they tried to pull the car over.
So Alex Ayala is the president of the Milwaukee Police Union, Milwaukee Police Union.

So
He ended up, you know, talking about what ended up happening and the identity again of the 23 year old man is Prentice Smith condolences to the family.
Right.
But yeah, it was the police chief.
Jeffrey Norman said officer reportedly ordered the suspect to the ground, but the suspect refused and the two exchanged gunfire.
Now, by this video that.
Circulating circulating around on Facebook and social media We hear some children that were there and a
Bailey can't help but yeah, but that's the sad reality of it that it was and They said yeah, they were telling him to you know get out and all of that and he didn't listen and Then they they said now.
This is not a completed investigation or not
They said that they saw him shoot at the law enforcement officer.
There was a struggle and the law enforcement officer returned fire.
And you know, how many shots we, you know, some are saying two, you know, some saying that it was more than two.
But like I say, once the investigation is really done and over with, we'll find out.
more of the truth, in my opinion, and we'll see the body cam footage and all of that.
shooting that ended up taking a life with Sonya 58 year old Sonya and But that Detroit situation also showed and we can say it happens everywhere if we want to but
Oh, and when I say everywhere, you know, people be like, well, you know, white people do it, too.

OK, one of the sad things I saw the interaction.
would not share with anybody else because you actually see it was on social media though but I'm just one not to like publicly try to share that type of trauma and tragedy as if it's not bad enough if it it wasn't bad enough that these young children that were filming they've seen it before in their community so they weren't afraid
to walk towards a body which they clearly was saying he did.

Yeah, they got real close Yeah, so but there's blood everywhere.
No men no men stepped up to intervene in Detroit with that
58 year old woman.
Her name is Sonia.
I forgot her last name, but I know her first name is Sonia and a lot of her family and friends are, you know, talking on news about it and things of that nature.
But none of the men Bailey and I talk about this kind of stuff all the time.
They didn't intervene to like say, Hey, look, man, no, it ain't like that.
They could have easily, you know, she did allegedly brandish a weapon as well because.
In the video, you see her too
talking about the Sonya thing, but I'm just saying how none of the men intervene and I believe that she would have been a lie today.
If some of the men would have just been like, nah, bro, we got her, man.
We got her.
She good.

And instead, they just let the brother that walked over there, man, and just he walked over there and killed her.
You know what I'm saying?
But.
It could have been prevented in my opinion they could have told her like you ain't got to get out just yeah slingshot You ain't got to get out.

You good You good even though she appeared to be inebriated But yeah, it didn't have to go to where she ended up losing her life in my opinion But you got so many people that will just stand by they will stand by watch it even the woman that films the video that I'm talking about There's a couple of different angles of it
But the one that filmed it, she was egging the woman on like, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Like, oh, and then when she ended up getting shot, oh, he he's not.
And then she walks up and show her body, which definitely appears her eyes open and appeared like she was, you know, this dead on the scene type of situation.
But oh, why y'all do that?
You you up there egging the woman on that part.
So it's crazy.
We got to do better.
But yeah, as the body camera footage is released publicly in 15 days.
But I believe, like I say, the family will be able to see it sooner than that.
Oh, yeah.
And be able to kind of see what law enforcement saw and what they were up against and why this took place.
And then all of those other I synced it people.

It ain't even got to be physical because a lot of women, in my opinion, know how to slice a man up into little dice pieces with just their mouth, with just their mouth.
And some men can handle it and still walk away.

It's a lot that cannot.
The ego is a very fragile thing.
So I believe that there are a lot of men who have experienced it and some women that are looking at men that are being talked to like that and like, oh, I wouldn't let me move out the way.
They'll move out the way because it's like, oh, it's coming.

I will accept that.
However, I will also say that women, you know, for example, when I see a system that's like that, whether it's going that route, I'll say, what happened before this?
Because generally speaking, now there are some women that will make other men pay for what somebody else does.
Right, but I think that goes with men, too.
That they will, you know, and it's all about people entering a relationship or a situation ship without healing from the prior things and knowing, you know, people have to know that, you know, just because he did that doesn't mean that he's going to do that or she or whatever.

Because men do the same thing.
And I think that.
When you go there you got to be careful because a lot of times the reason women do that is because they've been disappointed by that person prior Sometimes it's that person sometimes it's not but by men in general since we're being in general and some women just need to know like You know, I got this it's okay, and I'm not gonna disappoint that way.

uh equal or not what tends to happen and this is why I personally feel that we don't get to resolutions and when the conversation is speaking of men that do this I think that the I call it the mirror effect when we hear the instead of just addressing it from the woman perspective
or from the male perspective, we always cross the wires in majority situations.
So instead of just like, let's focus on the issue that we're talking about with women, you'll hear a lot of women say, but man do it too.
And it's like, and even when they say it, it's not normally in a, let's, let's continue to converse about this.
It's usually said.
in a facetious type manner like well men do it too who you think we got it from so instead of just saying look okay this is a question for women and if you have to now interject men into the situation instead of just really answering it for
Women you don't know what I'm saying is when we end up that's just like with men that say well the woman made the women do it too, bro We having a man Conversation if we're having a man conversation stop bringing them talk about your thoughts talk about the things that you are not doing
Uh, right?
Or the things that you need to correct and how you need to correct those things, it's not going to help if we just keep blaming each other because we don't get to a solution because it's the blame game that just continues to happen.
And so when you, in the end, after the session, you're like, okay, well, what do we accomplish?
We broke through the same sugar, honey.
So you ain't, you know what I'm saying?
So for me, I'm like, can we just address it?
Like, so when we talk about the boy.
need the father and they like okay well we say the girls need the mother and they like and it's like well because her daddy ain't here if the man stepped up it's like hold on let's deal with our thoughts and our responsibilities in this area before just trying to deflect it
On to somebody else and that happens so often when we're trying to have Conversations with men and women.
I'm not saying us I'm just saying in general when people are talking yeah, because that's why that's why but that's why I tried to give the balance when that comment was made on The YouTube page to say like look again, I understand it's cause and effect
And I understand on the men perspective of why some men do that.
I clearly stated that I don't do that, but I know a lot of men that do and the reasons that they end up saying that they ended up doing that.

I mean, it takes place everywhere, but, you know, we know that we hear a lot about it and we sometimes pay more attention when it's in our community.
And I get it.
and me just answering like that question like, yeah, there's some provoking that goes on.
And is it done on both sides?
Yes.
But when we're trying to get to a solution, like if we're saying ladies, what do you think it's going to take to get the young girls to understand how important their mind, body and soul is?
The first thing that some of them say, well, you got to keep away from me, you know, this idea, but what can you do as a woman to instill the values and the morals that you have that let you know how to properly not sell yourself short, so to speak, or this and the other.
And the same can happen with men.
And like I say, I call it the mirror effect.
And I don't think we get to a solution because before you know it, it's arguing.
It's, you know, it's like, it's the man against the women.
It's like, no, it's the girls gets boy.
No, there are times where we're going to do some co-ed stuff.
But right now, if you are trying to teach a girl how to become a young lady, what are the things that you want to do?
And if you end up going into the man, the man, the man is really taken away.
unfairly in my opinion on what you feel a young girl should be.
What a young woman add the progression of it all of things that she needs to do to keep her crown on if she's a princess and then going to be a queen.
It's not him.
Blake, from what I've learned, it's self pride.
The man is the prize and the woman is the treasure he must always protect.

You got one chance to disrespect me and I'm out.
If we can't talk it out like adults, why are we here?

You know, you have to be able to sit down, especially if you're in a relationship, sit down and talk to somebody.
You know, have a conversation.
But if you're out just out here, there's a lot of people that are just out here, you know, having babies by people they shouldn't be having babies by.

What can you do to make yourself better?
What do you need to improve if you need it like if I'm sitting down and I talk to a lot of brothers that are dealing with different situations and I'm like right you truly need anger management classes because you are not you know, you're trying to just Blame blame blame, but you're not taking any self accountability and when people don't take self accountability
To me, it compounds the problem because you're going to always try to, yeah, but then she say it and be like, bruh, but what did you say?
What did you do?
What triggers you?
If you see that, then you need to stay away from those things.
If when this happens, then this is what you need to do as a man.
So you don't end up in.
What is it community reintegration center?
Whatever it is called the house correction now, but anyway, so you don't end up spending your life behind bars because instead of going and dealing with your triggers that You are saying well the the women be said okay, bro, you know, but what can you do for you?
What what what can help you to not go there?
What can make you not pick up a gun and say I'm gonna go kill her whole family I'm gonna kill her.

any recently, but they were doing a series with real men, real talk at G's Clippers on King Drive.
And it's an environment of men being able to really be open and honest about where they are and some of the trauma or some of the things that they may have had or some successful people who ended up, you know, sharing with other black men that may have
alcohol problems or drug problems and talking about where they came from and how they were able to look at themselves and pull themselves up and stop waiting and depending on some other people who may have been the reason that they were stuck and stunted in their growth because sometimes there are other black men that don't want to see black men really achieve.
You know, we think and talk about how white people sometimes, some of them may not want us to succeed it, but we don't even try to look at the fact that it's a lot of men that are trying to keep some of us stunted in growth and they don't, they want to gate keep everything.
I'm really open.
And if I can try to help another brother, I will do that.
I will work to do the best that I can.
Now I can only do the best that I can.
And sometimes people may want more, but it's like, I don't have more to give.
And people have to be okay with knowing that that's it.
Like this is the length of my cable.
So I don't have any more to give, um, because then they want to try to drain you.
And it's like, look.
I'm not going to, you know, both of us ain't gonna drown.
I'm gonna let you know some of the say, uh, the maneuvers and some of the things that you can do to try to help me to help you.
But now if you're not doing your part and you want me to still try to lift us both up at the same time and we're both experiencing the same trauma.
That's not gonna work.
That's not how it works.
That's how you have some men who just hate women.
They hate this.
They hate that.

It's like, bruh, it's nothing like when I look at social media and I'm like some of these people, they just angry all the damn time.

All their social media posts are depressing.

And if we can't do that, I will be able to go to sleep at night because I know that I tried.

Uh, like Tupac say, saying that we cousins, knowing that we wasn't, uh, I got to talk to him, uh, because people were telling me about this problem that, and I talked to him, you know, regularly, you know, telling him some things that he needs to do and, uh, that could help him and all of that.
But then I learned about a new issue and a problem that he has in my opinion.
And I was able to go and see what people were talking about.
I'm like, what's this?
I don't know.
But from everybody around him, they know what it is.
They've seen him.
I didn't see him doing it, but I saw it.
And I'm like, what other reason would it have?

just have that real personal heart to heart conversation with him, not in any environment where any outside people are, but to just really sit down and.
If he has to become emotional as we talk about it, I need it for him to let it out.
I need him to be able to talk about it like for real and not be judged by me in the conversation that we will have about it.
But it's a real situation that if he doesn't do anything about it, he'll be dead before the end of the year.
But like I say, I can hold my head up high.
when I know that, you know, you did what I could.
Right.
The rest is up to the individual because, you know, it's just like when you're raising your children or rearing your children and you can put all of the best, like I say, I know some great parents that have some children that just went totally to the left.
Totally be like your mother and father always worked, you know, that you've never seen.
domestic abuse or violence in the home.
You know, you never had to come home and the lights were off or, you know, all of the things, you know, you got all that you got to people that will help you with your homework and, you know, take you and let you explore things.
So when somebody outside of your mother or father takes you, you're not in such awe.
Always gave my daughter flowers.
You know what I'm saying?
Just
uh, a boy couldn't end up giving her flowers and she, oh, you know, I always made sure that we took our children to nice restaurants and, uh, where they were able to dine and there was a maitre d and all of that.
Then we went to some of the other ones that may not have had a maitre d. You feel what I'm saying?
But just so you can't think that, oh, I've never experienced this before.
You know, like in sports, they tell you act like you've been there before.
You know, you ain't been to the Super Bowl, but act like you've been to the Super Bowl.
Let that ignite you.
Let that put energy inside of you to say, you know what?
I can do it.
You know, unfortunately, we don't have people that have the urge now, especially with the orange man to say, I want to be the president.
I remember coming up.
I wanted to be the president.
You feel I'm saying I've never seen anybody that looked like me in the old office, but I wanted to be the president.
I want, you know, it was something that I had to strive for.
And I was like, but it's so many people that have let people down.
It's crazy.
It's an ugly truth.

And I just say to everybody who is working.
in a situation or a job that your job is to I know you can say that man but we how many years and how many decades we've been talking about this but what think about once we stop if we think that unfortunately is still bad right now think about how much worse it will be

Well, I don't know what to do, but we got to change it.
That's not how this works.

That is very true and you know, I think that You have to individualize it and look at where you're at in your contribution how you can contribute right right, you know many years You know having been in the radio game No matter where I was or what position I was in for me it was always a situation of
You know, we're in the position that we are what can we do to help?
You know and how many people can we touch?
With regard to
their lives where they're at and help them we need to meet people where they're at to help them rise if we can you know and that's just Still an important thing, but I feel like Having the parents that I had
That I saw that at home, right?
I saw that with their work and with the work that my parents did You know with Whether it be through the different community organizations They were involved involved in or their individual work or you know their work through our church It was always you know no matter and my mom and dad had a lot of kids, right?
There were you know seven of us so they could have said we ain't doing none of that but instead they had us like a Christmas time filling stockings for other kids You know they had us doing the work as well And so I think it's just it's just about everybody being able if they can see their way through to
do
It could be something small
You know and you can teach your kids you think you can't but look you can go to the Dollar Tree Get some socks.
They always have socks on sale, right?
$1.25 you could probably get you six pair That's something that homeless people always want to need or unhoused people whatever you want to call them these days Take those Take the tags and everything off Fold them together like normal
and drop them off.
Drop them off at a shelter.
You don't have to go all out.
Drop them off at a homeless shelter.
And boom, you want to give?
Okay.
Again, you can go to the Dollar Tree, get some food, some cans of food for $1.25.
Check the expiration date, though.
And you can take it too.
I'm just saying.
Sometimes they have stuff in there that you, anyway, but you can donate that.
Right, you can donate that to second harvest food is a season
Mm-hmm, but there are ways that you can contribute if you ain't got like a bunch of food Hey, I can good will help it'll help
So just do your part wherever you see you can fit in get in where you fit in might be helping a senior citizen or a seasoned citizen across the street Whatever help them carry their groceries to the car Whatever it is
But if you know that there's some people that are trying to help make a change and just to help, I've always said that, like, you know, donate some water.
You know what I'm saying?
Like everybody is going to need water.
My truth, I think you said it earlier.
I think it starts with people taking responsibility for whatever their shortcomings is and instead of redirecting it and blaming it on someone else.
Always refer to the Michael Jackson, the man in the mirror theory.
It took me a long time to realize
what that meant, but you got to look at yourself sometimes and say, what am I contributing to this?
And you got to respect another person's opinion about what they're going through, what they see through their eyes.
I think a lot of us fall back on an opinion of what it's supposed to be.
You got some women that think a man is just supposed to take care of them 100%.
they're not supposed to do anything.
I remember I dated a woman and I shouldn't know.
But her mom used to tell her, use what you got to get what you want.
Yep.
You know, you know, use what you got to get what you want.
And I think that value is still around.
And then I think because of the old shows, like you said, I come up with you around the same age where you don't see any black heroes or black
Successful man and it was dr. Kill there and the different shows and they're all Superman Everybody and even today used to get a little a little that the image that they put out there, you know and Again, I had a woman I had a conversation with a woman and her attitude was if a man couldn't do nothing then He ain't no man.
What you mean by that my thing is it like you Homer you got I know he went
do some trials and tribulations to get to where you at now and not because you didn't know what you were doing just because you was a black man and a stereotype and uh if you were the woman and you're trying to run a business or whatever the situation is okay so there's a leaky pipe or something in the house a leaky faucet now you got a gig that might pay you 800 dollars what's more important for you to do you fix that leaky apartment or go make the 800 dollars and pay someone
to get the, uh, leaky, uh, bossy six or something like that.
And it, you know, uh, I can go on and on and on and on.
We get you.
Once I, you know, once I take, took responsibility, I've been clean from drugs for 45 years and I probably didn't go to traditional.
I went to a clinic for 30 days, but I made my mind up in my heart and I, and I worked with that.
And you know, that's another subject, but.
you know, blood and one more thing.
Yeah, yeah, because we got to get a wrap up.
