She ended up saying on this phone call, not even an hour after I got my groceries, those MFs got behind me and I took them on one.

I told the kids, put your seat belts on.
I ain't stopping.
I tried to get rid of that little demo.
Uh, they found it.
She was talking about the gun.
They found it.
They saw me throw it.
I effed up.
I should have just punched in his sugar honey iced tea.

I lost my temper in reference to the parents of the children in her car being upset about taking their children on a high speed chase.
The two little boys they got in, I was trying to help them get their MF money.

So she.
She said, uh, the mama's, the mama's know me.

I'm wrong for taking them on a high speed, but I had to get rid of this sugar, honey, ice tea.
I'm not going to pull over.

I understand they're mad, but in reference to the child she shot.
Uh, this ain't your corner.

Then on July 19th at 10, 23 AM, another phone call.
Pharrell, again, again, admits to driving around with the kids in her car, looking for the child that she eventually shot.

Then on July 19th, 2026 at 1046 a.m.
and talking about the child victim, she said, you know, I feel bad and I always feel bad, but I also feel like this is an eye opener.
And these kids need to stop doing that sugar, honey, ice tea.
They're lying on the internet.
The boy is 14, not 12.
He's so big and so obese, like titty sagging and sugar, honey, ice tea.
Wow.
We had to take care of some bills.

charged with out with these 22 charges and and to go black to catch the other ones.
I'll go right to the bottom because it talks about other things that she's already still as to the bail jumping at the time of the offense.
Cosetta Burrell is on an open felony case in Milwaukee County where Burrell is charged with identity theft for financial gain.
The case went through intake court.
On November 7, 2025 on that date the defendant was issued cash bail in order to commit no new law violations, which was Which rise to the level of probable cause that condition remains in place
as of the
January 27 2023.
Burrell was found guilty of physical abuse of a child intentional causation of bodily harm, a class H felony in the state of Wisconsin.
Subsequent to that finding, Burrell was placed on probation.
She was revoked from that probation and taken into custody on August 15th of 2024.
So she was black in prison.
Okay.
Burrell remained in custody until July 7th.
You know, they holler at each other from different cells.
But yes, let me go to the current charges now.
Count one first degree reckless injury habitual criminality repeater use of a dangerous weapon count to physical abuse of a child intentional causation of great bodily harm habitual criminality repeater use of a dangerous weapon

You know, when I first heard the story,
I know I guess some people can find a little humor in it.
I can't find any humor in this thing because this young man and this woman is blessed that he's not dead because if she would have shot him in a main artery, he would have bled out and all that.
Now, to my understanding, you know, this young man saw these young boys selling water.
He decided to take the water and money and all that, and a woman came and got a call from one of the kids, and then she went in.
like Bailey said, hunting him down, and they got into an argument, and she pulled a firearm and shot him.
Like I said, he's blessed to be alive, and she's blessed that he's not dead.
So the little time that she is going to get, and it was a little time, the parents could murder.
That's why I say it's a little time.
But we always talk about how the young people go around here, and they don't have nothing to do, and they get in all type of trouble.
In an ironic way, she might have saved his life, because when he's still in war today, he could be doing something crazier tomorrow.
And that's all I want to say.
I'm not giving her any talks or anything like that.
But from my point of where I sit, she was dead wrong for doing that.
But you got to leave people alone.
These kids are trying to earn water.
So whenever he see a bottle of water, if you want to laugh, whenever this young man see a bottle of water, he probably be shaking in his boots.
He ain't going to do that again.

Uh, for the other charge, uh, just going in and going with the, uh, penalties for them.
Class C felony for the second charge.
All right.
Physical abuse of a child intentional causation of great bodily harm.
She's facing a $100,000 fine or 40 years in prison or both.
Yes.
We go to the next one, class G felony, $25,000 fine, 10 years in prison or both.
Oh.
Oh, I'm sorry.
Let me also add for each of those that I've read.
She's facing if she's found guilty, she's facing additional six years.
Wisconsin statue penalty enhancer and an additional four years penalty enhancer.
And that's on just the first several charges.
So
I'm talking about when you look at The first charge all right the first charge where she's facing 25 years and not to mention the hundred thousand dollar fine, okay and With that she's also facing an additional six years if she's found guilty on that and additional five years these are
Penalty enhancers.
It's just like for using a dangerous weapon while committing a crime.
You get an automatic five year penalty added on to it.
So you're talking about from it saying that it's going to be 25 years to now what 30 something years.
I'm not
out.
She put, you know, she's searching for him now.
Now she's searching
So and this is on each charge.
She's got two.
Penalty enhancers on whatever the time that she's facing it found guilty of that charge.
So if it's 10 years
Uh, the penalty enhancers on the one where it's on the ones where she's facing 10 years on charges.
It's a four and a five year penalty enhancer, two different penalty enhancers that add another nine years to that 10 years.
Nope.
And.
I understand that, you know, we get upset.
We get all of those things.
We get all those things.
We get upset, frustrated.
That's why I tell people, you know, get your damn kids.

officer fired three shots at point blank range into a man who the officers and fellow officers were trying to take into custody in the middle of the street Wednesday afternoon as several witnesses looked on.
Right.
So we're going to play that clip and kind of bring you up to speed if you haven't heard about it.
I mean, it's dominating social media.
Yeah.
People are having their opinions.
A lot of protests are going on up in Madison.
And I just want to make sure that everybody is up to speed and going to play this clip from WISN 12 news.
Producer Xavier is getting that ready.
He'll let me know when it's up and ready to roll.
So if you are watching us on Facebook live or you're on our YouTube page all at one on one seven and truth, you'll be able to follow along where you may have already saw some of the many videos that are circulating around.
that show even more of the situation and unedited as a matter of fact.
So we are ready to play this clip about the Madison shooting of a man in Madison.
Police posted online.
There was a call for a person stealing bikes and checking doors on vehicles.
Now that statement says officers spotted the man you see in that video.
They say he rode off on a bike before they caught up with him at the side of the shooting.
One witness says officers grabbed or tackled the man off the bike and that witness started recording.
Just 12 seconds after this video starts.
The man is tased before an officer shoots him point blank.
Michael Dubek was holding the camera.
Yeah, it was no more than 10 feet away, 5, 10 feet away.
And it happened, as they say, it happened so fast that...
I didn't really have time to react.
It seemed like that they had got him on the ground and then that split second later, three shots to his head.
So it was so surprising, I think, to everybody watching that.
What
cannot be seen from Dubek's perspective is a knife police noted in their public statement online, writing, during the struggle, the man pulled out a fixed blade knife and injured an officer before the shots.
The officer on the far right alerts fellow officers to a knife.
That's when another officer deploys a taser and wrestling the man to the ground.
One officer stomps the man's leg before the officer who called out the knife fires three shots.
The officer who deployed the taser instantly covers her mouth.
11 seconds after the final shot, a different officer tosses a knife to the side and police shared this image of a knife in their
The shooting, prompting protest, and questions over the officer's use of deadly force.
Madison Police Chief, John Patterson.
I caution everyone, this is one perspective.
It is not a full overview of everything that was visible from different angles, certainly visible from the officers.
And again, it involves a fixed blade knife that I think we're fortunate didn't cause more damage.
And
Michael Dubek's video, one of several circulating online tonight, but it is also one of the clearest and it could be crucial considering Madison patrol officers do not wear body cameras.
and body cameras long debated in the city of Madison in 2024.
The department launched a body camera pilot program.
It lasted 90 days.
The hurdle for the city has been the cost of the cameras themselves as well as the storage for the video.
Last year, the Common Council voted down a budget amendment to fund a broad body camera program.
Chief Patterson is pushing for body cameras in the 2027 budget cycle.

Derek, let's go back to the officer who fired that fatal shot.
What do we know about him?
Well, Chief Patterson did not.
identify that officer by name, only saying he's a veteran officer.
That officer, along with the three other officers who were trying to take the man into custody, are all on administrative leave, which is a standard practice in deadly use of force incidents.
You got an officer.
Yeah was allegedly injured with the knife Yeah, you might not want to have a weapon that I don't think that the enforcement is designed to Match your energy on what type of weapon you have if you come running at them with a bat
The way they're probably going to respond is, yeah, it's deadly force, imminent danger.
And let alone, unfortunately, if you've injured one of the officers with such knife, and I'm sure there are going to be people to say that he wasn't struggling, I saw struggling.

So remember pre 2020 all the police brutality we saw, right?
How that influenced today's like, you know, youth who are now like, you know, adolescent and everything, you know, they're kind of rambunctious on edge and not backing down.
They're defensive and everything.
They're traumatized.
You know, they protest.
Do you see this stuff happening when cops pull people over?
They protest, like pretty much protest instead of complying and everything.
Cops are frustrated because they're on edge.
You never know what somebody's doing.
You've got to follow the law and everything like that.
So, you know, we've got to get over this guilt and trauma and we've got to stop inspiring fear so that way people don't have mental breakdowns, but a bunch of cops come at you like, hey, what are you doing?
right or wrong because that guy in Madison I can probably tell you that he probably did well he's probably he probably was high he probably did have some mental health issues but at the same time we got all this emotion going on right here so he did just enough to argue justification for the shooting but at that time the shooting was unnecessary because you saw even his partner was unhappy with the results of them tazing they had him to do
you know things happen like you know you you know you got progressors get trained to take bums you gotta put your body on the line these cops do can't can't be so delicate by the same time they shouldn't have to take abuse nobody should have to take abuse okay that's

That's pretty much what I had to say about it.
Get to the point where all the stuff's getting sensationalized.
And it's too close to home for me, where everybody be so stagnant and complacent and frustrating, where everybody just keep going out here holding signs and everything.
Instead of saying, OK, honestly, I could have chilled out.
Honestly, people could have followed protocol.
Honestly, people getting carried away.
Honestly, that was unnecessary.
Leave it at that.
Stop all this emotion and drama right now, because that's too close to home right now for me.

So I understand it really quick with Israel saying it's like, you know, all that things that provoke the trauma.
My question was, I didn't see anything.
I don't really look at the YouTube and such like that unless and it comes across when I open my phone.
But my thing was when I got in my vehicle and I heard the situation of the guy and he was recording and he mentioned, okay, there was a tape.
Then there's this shot by the officer, another officer, and then
They're saying that there's a knife or you can hear the woman saying knife.
So what is this, the protocol?
I mean, I thought that the use of a taser and what I've learned and what I know of officers that they will, majority of the time, if one uses a taser, another will also draw their taser if needed to use it.
I didn't know.
It goes from taser to gun, and then confirming that, or what another officer is saying.
I'm just a little, that's my question, and just to give a vote, a little understanding.

The truth is the protocol is if you're black, you're dead.
How about that?
Because we
seeing white people pull our AI-15 butcher knives.
and jump on them and they were white as cocaine and they went the extra mile.
But let's go a little deeper.
Black man and Grand Rapids Michigan hand cup behind his back three bullets in the head and the dog chewed them in his neck.
Okay, they will find that guilty.
Boy in the back of the car knocking, shot in the head in the back of the squad car handcuffs, not guilty.
And now we have this going on.
And let's not forget the man in Washington, DC, black man slapping his car woke up to bullets.
If you're black, you're guilty.
If you're white, then they have a protocol, because you know, with white people, they come with attorneys.
So we got to stop saying, well, police officers go through so much.
Well, if you don't want to be here, don't do the job.
But remember, anything that's black is negative.
And these police officers and you can do your research as well.
If you're black, they are taught to get rid of the problem.
And they are trained.
They should go a little harder on you if you're black or Latino.
So we should stop sitting here acting like, oh, they go through so much.
We know you got to hide your suicide rate.
We know you're doped up on coke.
And we know a lot of you white police officers was raised with fail health from your mama and daddy to look at black people as hard to practice.
So we don't got to play stupid.

And they were around these white people that were surrounded.
And I guess it may have been one or two black people and they were like kind of calling them out like, yeah, y'all sitting there.
But it and the white people sitting at the table look unbothered, even though it looked like 50 or more people were in that protest.
So, you know, it may have been a hundred or more or whatever.

So, um, I'm like, if that was, um, a situation like it.

So whoever it was, they, they lost their life.
And yeah, to a lot of people feeling that it was unjustified.
I'm hearing from, uh, former law enforcement was like, uh, it was the way that these officers.
Handled that situation said great morning blow Regarding the police shooting in Madison It is my opinion that this young person would still be alive if proper arrest techniques had been used by the four Not one but four officers said they looked like they were keystone cops

cops managed to take them down without shooting them.

I noted in the story it was happening in the the predominantly African-American area over in England.

They were like, we don't have guns.

Yeah, they do have armed officers, but they have to pronounce that they're armed officers.
And like those are only special units that come in right like the standard cop.

But it is crazy and even just to show the deterioration in my opinion of people and especially like in our community, I can speak on them because I see it daily.

They watch the beating and the abuse and and and seeing the person.

But no, on a real serious situation here, Madison Police Department officer fired three shots at point blank range into a man who the officers and fellow officers were trying to take into custody in the middle of a street Wednesday afternoon as several witnesses looked on.

So we're going to play that clip and kind of bring you up to speed if you haven't heard about it.

I mean, it's, it's dominating social media.
Yeah.
Uh, a lot of protests are going on up in Madison and, um, I just want to make sure that everybody is up to speed and going to play this clip from WISN 12 news.

So if you are watching us on Facebook live or you're on our YouTube page all at one on one seven the truth You'll be able to follow along or you may have already saw some of the many videos that are circulating around that show even more of the situation And unedited as a matter of fact So we are ready to play this clip about the Madison shooting of a man in Madison
Police posted online.
There was a call for a person stealing bikes and checking doors on vehicles.
Now that statement says officers spotted the man you see in that video.
They say he rode off on a bike before they caught up with him at the side of the shooting.
One witness says officers grabbed or tackled the man off the bike and that witness started recording.
Just 12 seconds after this video starts.
A man is tased before an officer shoots him point blank.
Michael Dubek was holding the camera.
Yeah, it was about no more than 10 feet away, 5, 10 feet away.
And it happened, as they say, it happened so fast that...
I didn't really have time to react.
It seemed like that they had got him on the ground and then that split second later, three shots to his head.
So it was so surprising, I think, to
everybody watching that.
What cannot be seen from Dubek's perspective is a knife police noted in their public statement online, writing, during the struggle, the man pulled out a fixed blade knife and injured an officer before the shots.
The officer on the far right alerts fellow officers to a knife.
That's when another officer deploys a taser and wrestling the man to the ground.
One officer stomps the man's leg before the officer who called out the knife fires three shots.
The officer who deployed the taser instantly covers her mouth.
11 seconds after the final shot, a different officer tosses a knife to the side and police shared this image of a knife in their
The shooting, prompting protest, and questions over the officers' use of deadly force.
Madison Police Chief, John Patterson.
I caution everyone.
This is one perspective.
It is not a full overview of everything that was visible from different angles, certainly visible from the officers.
And again, it involves a fixed blade knife that I think we're fortunate didn't cause more damage.
And
Michael Dubek's video, one of several circulating online tonight, but it is also one of the clearest and it could be crucial considering Madison patrol officers do not wear body cameras.
and body cameras long debated in the city of Madison in 2024.
The department launched a body camera pilot program.
It lasted 90 days.
The hurdle for the city has been the cost of the cameras themselves as well as the storage for the video.
Last year, the Common Council voted down a budget amendment to fund a broad body camera program.
Chief Patterson is pushing for body cameras in the 2027 budget cycle.

What do we know about him?
Well, Chief Patterson did not.
identify that officer by name, only saying he's a veteran officer.
That officer, along with the three other officers who were trying to take the man into custody, are all on administrative leave, which is a standard practice in deadly use of force incidents.
You got an officer.
Yeah was allegedly injured with the knife Yeah, you might not want to have a weapon that I don't think that The enforcement is designed to match your energy on what type of weapon you have if you come running at them with a bat
The way they're probably going to respond is, yeah, it's deadly force, imminent danger.
And let alone, unfortunately, if you've injured one of the officers with such knife, and I'm sure there are going to be people to say that he wasn't struggling, I saw struggling.

So that way people don't have mental breakdowns, but a bunch of cops come at you like, hey, what are you doing?
right or wrong because that guy in Madison I can probably tell you that he probably did well he's probably he probably was high he probably did have some mental health issues but at the same time we got all this emotion going on right here so he did just enough to argue justification for the shooting but at that time the shooting was unnecessary because you saw even his partner was unhappy with the results of them tazing they had him to do

your body on the line these cops do can't can't be so delicate by the same time they shouldn't have to take abuse nobody should have to take abuse okay that's

So we got to stop saying, well, police officers go through so much.
Well, if you don't want to be here, don't do the job.
But remember, anything that's black is negative.
And these police officers and you can do your research as well.
If you're black, they are taught to get rid of the problem.
And they are trained.
They should go a little harder on you if you're black or Latino.
