At the bottom of the hour, we’re excited to welcome Lar Kong Xiong, Board President of the Eau Claire Area Hmong Mutual Assistance Association. He walks us through his family background and how the Wisconsin Hmong community has grown since they were displaced here 49 years ago. 

This weekend, the association is hosting their Eau Claire Hmong New Year celebration at the Sonnentag event center. This is a huge event that drew approximately 4,000 attendees last year.
