We have breaking news at this hour.

We will begin our regularly scheduled show in a minute, but breaking in here into our regular programming to bring you special coverage of a remarkable situation unfolding right now in Washington DC in the Oval Office.

Just moments ago between President Donald Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart, Vladimir Zelensky, who was hoping to appeal to the United States for continued security assistance during his trip to Washington.

Raising voices, more so Trump to a lesser degree Zelensky, along with Vice President J.D.

Vance, engaged in a tense back and forth.

About the nature of the United States support and whether Zelensky had demonstrated enough gratitude Now if you've been following the news we talked a little bit about it this week there have been four or four leaders from France from the UK visiting with Donald Trump the Oval Office holding joint press conferences

And yes, there have been some disagreements, but they've been, you know, French President Macron has pushed back a little bit, actually put his hand on Donald Trump's knee to say, wait, wait, that's not quite true.

When Trump claims the United States and put in more money into Ukraine than the EU.

But they were fairly, you know, cordial back and forth.

President Zelensky had traveled from Ukraine.

And the point was to sign an agreement today, which now, according to reports as of a minute ago, seemed to be somewhat up in the air.

The point for Zelensky to travel to DC today was to sign a mineral rights agreement with the United States.

This had been put in front of Zelensky over a week ago with little to no notice, and initially he said, no, he won't sign it.

There are reports that was back and forth that the percentage of what the United States would own in mineral rights in Ukraine has been negotiated to Zelensky's liking, Ukraine's liking.

And that they were going to sign this today.

The reason the president Zelensky of Ukraine was willing to sign this mineral rights deal, giving the United States some rights to mineral mining, Trump's position.

vis-a-vis the United States position is that that would help to repay some of the money they put into Ukraine Zelensky after negotiating was willing to sign this with the feeling and thinking that if the United States had workers private companies mining in Ukraine that would give some military protection against the aggressors who are Russia and President Vladimir Putin very important at the front of this

Very important.

It is an indisputable fact that Russia attacked Ukraine without provocation, which began this war that has now just begun its third year.

Let's go to some of this astounding and remarkable audio here at nine minutes past the hour of 12 noon before we get into our regular scheduled show.

the president of Ukraine in the Oval Office in front of reporters.

Vice president Vance shot off a number of questions and insinuations.

Zelensky started to answer, said, look, you have the advantage of having a big ocean.

You don't feel this from Russia directly, but you will.

And Trump cuts him off.

Don't tell me how to feel.

Never let Zelensky answer the question, this continuance, insinuating that Zelensky hasn't thanked Donald Trump enough.

Trump saying you don't have the cards.

Linsky said I'm not here to play cards Never see anything more nothing never never see anything like this before Here is another cut reporter is asking I believe Trump on this one What if Russia would break the ceasefire?

She's asking, what if

Russia breaks the ceasefire?

What if anything?

All I can say is this, he might have broken deals with Obama and Bush, and he might have broken them with Biden.

I don't know what happened.

But he didn't break them with me.

He wants to make a deal.

I don't know if he can make a deal.

The problem is,

I've empowered you to be a tough guy.

And I don't think you'd be a tough guy without the United States.

And your people are very brave.

But you're either going to make a deal or wear out.

And if we're out, you'll fight it out.

I don't think it's going to be pretty, but you'll fight it out.

But you don't have the cards.

But once we sign that deal, you're in a much better position.

But you're not acting at all thankful.

And that's not a nice thing.

of an unprecedented meeting in the Oval Office less than 45 minutes ago between United States President Donald Trump, U.S.

Vice President J.D.

Vance, and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian president has traveled to the United States under the auspices to sign and agreed upon mineral rights deal.

The United States put this in front of the Ukrainians about a week ago with little to no advanced reading of it Zelensky had pushed back and said he wanted to read it like any of us would a Deal we're gonna sign After reading it and some negotiation behind the scenes Zelensky felt that this is about a mineral rights deal that Trump's saying look

The United States put, you know, money into Ukraine, not as much as the EU, by the way.

And it should be noted that most, if not all of the arms, planes, tanks that we sent to Ukraine, the United States, were in the stockpile of the United States military that were aging.

And we're going to be replaced anyway.

So what happened was under the Biden administration, those military pieces were sent to Ukraine, and then it sparked manufacturing in the US to replace it.

That would have happened anyway, but these armaments were sent to Ukraine to help fight against Russia, which again, it is fact.

The president of Russia, Vladimir Putin,

attacked Ukraine unprovoked now three years ago.

In any event, Zelensky of Ukraine negotiated his mineral rights down to an agreeable percentage saying that in Ukraine's position is if the United States has access to our mineral rights to a degree and invest private companies and there are private companies and Americans working and doing business in Ukraine, that would certainly provide us some

cover for our protection against an all-out assault of Russia.

And so Zelensky flew to DC today and they have this open press conference in the Oval Office with press prior to going into closed-door meetings which are supposed to be happening right now and then sign this deal in public.

Reports are now that the deal is not a sure thing after an unprecedented press conference in the Oval Office.

We're bringing you these cuts nearly in real time.

So don't hold us to these things happened exactly this order, but we're bringing you the raw audio uninterrupted so that you can listen and judge for yourself.

gaggle they call it or presser with Trump, Vance and Zelensky saying that at the end, you know, basically the spectacle and Trump's all for the American people seeing this.

But you're saying you don't want a ceasefire?

For four years in the United States of America, we had a president who stood up at press conferences and talked tough about Vladimir Putin, and then Putin invaded Ukraine and destroyed a significant chunk of the country.

The path to peace and the path to prosperity is maybe engaging in diplomacy.

We tried the pathway of Joe Biden of thumping our chest and pretending that the president of the United States' words mattered more than the president of the United States' actions.

What makes America a good country is a

America engaging in diplomacy, that's what President Trump is doing.

Can I ask

you?

So he occupied our parts, big parts of Ukraine, part of East and Crimea.

So he occupied it on 2014.

During a lot of years, I'm not speaking about just Biden, but those time was Obama, then President Obama, then President Trump, then President Biden, now President Trump, and God bless, now President Trump will stop him.

But during 2014, nobody stopped him.

He just occupied and took.

He killed people.

You know what the contact was?

2015.

2014, it's 2014.

2014?

Yeah, yeah.

So he killed... How

is that here?

Yeah, but... That's exactly right.

Yes, but during 2014 till 2022, you know, what the situation is the same, that people have been dying on the contact line, nobody stopped him.

You know, that we had conversations with him, a lot of conversations, my bilateral conversation, and we signed with him, me, like a new president, in 2019, I signed with him the deal.

I signed with him, Macron, and Merkel, we signed ceasefire.

Ceasefire, all of them told me that he will never go.

We signed him with gas contraband.

Gas contraband.

Yes, but after that, he broken the ceasefire.

He killed our people, and he didn't exchange prisoners.

We signed the exchange of prisoners, but he didn't do it.

What kind of diplomacy, JD, you are speaking about?

But that stuns me.

And Zelensky said, look, 20% of my country is under Russian control.

You can't have an election when 20% of your people can't vote.

So how do you not have midterm elections in the United States to Ann's point?

You start a war.

And you say, well, Zelensky couldn't hold elections when he was at war.

The President of the United States, the Vice President of the United States verbally assaulted an ally of the United States in the President of Ukraine and sided with Putin.

Trump saying, quote, Putin went through a hell of a lot with me, unquote, and went on to defend Vladimir Putin.

Telling the President of Ukraine, quote, we have all the cards, unquote.

And now breaking news less than 15 minutes ago, President Zelensky

And Trump will no longer hold a joint news conference today where it was expected that they would sign a mineral rights deal that would give the United States access to some of the minerals and would give Ukraine at least some protection against Russia.

The Ukrainians are about to or now have left the White House.

We had a piece we were going to read for you, by the way, on this deal.

That's why Zelensky came to the United States.

to sign a deal on minerals today.

Ukraine has a lot of great wealth, a graphite, titanium, lithium, uranium, essential stuff for all sorts of electronics and tech products.

And Trump had said, look, I'll sign this.

He basically bullied Zelensky into saying, look, give us a bunch of your mineral rights and cash, or what, take them out to cash.

And you know what will allow companies to go over there and do this private US companies and since there's Americans there Well, yeah, we'll we're not gonna let our Americans get blown up.

So, you know, there'll be some military coverage if you do this What it really is what it comes down to for Trump as always about the Benjamins Democracy and freedom are really non-essential to Donald Trump But Ukraine would pay dearly

and still would not have been secure from Putin's takeover.

But that deal was squashed about an hour ago when they had this gaggle, this press event in the Oval Office, and Donald Trump and JD Vance verbally assaulted the president of Ukraine, a sworn ally of the U.S.

And Trump defended Vladimir Putin.

and monished him, saying, quote, Putin went through a hell of a lot with me, unquote, said that Zelensky didn't have the cards to demand anything.

After about a 20 minute event, they went behind.

And by the way, the U.S.

ambassador to Ukraine put their heads in their hand during this.

Marco Rubio, the secretary of state,

looking straight ahead like he just had shock treatment.

Republican members of Congress saying that Trump missed on all accounts.

They went into it, talked about this privately and shortly about 15 minutes later, it was called off.

Zelensky has left the White House and they did not, they did not sign the mineral deal in the Oval Office or anywhere else.

And here now one word Sometimes words can say a lot They say a picture is worth a thousand words.

Sometimes it just takes a word This may be the most telling part of this entire event today unprecedented event An advisor to Russian president Vladimir Putin reacted to the video of the heated Oval Office exchange

between Ukrainian Presidents Linsky and U.S.

President Donald Trump with one word.

Quote.

Historic.

Unquote.

Krill Dimensiev, a special envoy to Putin, put that on X moments ago.

He is the CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund and attended the recent discussions between the U.S.

and Russia.

about Saudi Arabia or about Ukraine in Saudi Arabia.

The Russians don't fear anything anymore.

Calling it historic, what just happened.

Historic in the sense, we have never seen a president of the United States admonish an ally of the US to their face in the Oval Office.

while at the same time defending a sworn enemy in a dictator like Vladimir Putin.

Remember Putin is a former KGB.

And if Matt Flynn were here, I'm sure he knows the history.

He could, he could tell me exactly who it was.

If Joe is still listening and she could call it, I'm sure she knows.

I can't remember whether it was Khrushchev or who.

One said, maybe it was Stalin, said, eventually we will defeat the United States of America and we'll never fire a shot.

They took a huge step towards that today in the Oval Office.

I mean, Trump said in this, in this press event, he said, well, this is going to be great for TV.

You have to wonder if Trump had any intent to sign this at all, or if it was just simply to get Zelensky to go around the world and then humiliate him on international television on Putin's behalf.

yeah great so i just want to say from my perspective from the perspective a lot of people calling me remember one thing donald trump does not

get to speak for a change of American policy and screwing our allies after 250 years just by his say so.

He said these things.

It's very important that everybody listening to your show know that we have our own foreign policy.

It's an American foreign policy.

We stand for freedom and democracy.

We stand by our allies.

What he did was shameful.

Donald Trump has been compromised.

He's frightened of Vladimir Putin.

and because of his own personal sexual indiscretions and the steel report, whatever else is on him, that does not permit him to snap his fingers and turn and stab an ally in the back.

I just wanted you to hear that from me, and I'm channeling a number of texts and calls I've been getting.

Matt, you're always fond of saying history being made every moment of every day.

There is no bigger front line to history than what happened in the Oval Office today, where the sitting President of the United States and Vice President of the United States dress down, and that's putting it mildly, I would say, verbally assaulted the President of Ukraine, a sworn U.S.

ally in the Oval Office.

And I'm quoting

Trump today, looking at Zelensky saying, quote, Putin went through a hell of a lot with me, unquote, defended the dictator of Vladimir Putin to Zelensky's face.

Zelensky ended up there, went back into a back room to they were going to sign this mineral rights deal.

And now there is reporting that it fell apart.

as would be expected, and Zelensky left the White House without signing the deal.

A couple of speed round questions for you, my friend Matt Flynn.

Number one, do you think that Zelensky was set up?

Do you think that Putin never intended to sign this in the first place, but just won the circus?

Right.

What I love is the slip of the tongue.

Putin never invented it.

Trump is Putin.

We're talking about a setup.

Here, they bring this guy in and, frankly, Zelensky looks stronger than Trump did.

Then they were only supposed to go back to sign a document that had already been drafted.

Already approved.

It was a ministerial act.

You just assign it in private and go out and say we signed it the minute they got off camera Remember Trump said this is great television.

He did it for television They go back in and Trump says get the hell out

of

here and walks away and then you know and then you can't stay in the White House if the president doesn't want you there so Zelensky is thrown out

Yes, it was a setup.

And one of the things that was most disgusting was what a sycophant, uh, Vance is.

I mean, he just sat there lying and, uh, attacking and there's a one, two.

First of all, why was Vance there?

That is, you know,

you're

president to president.

You don't have somebody sitting around attacking you, but it was a setup.

They went back to sign a ministerial act, a document already drafted.

They said, get the hell out of here and walked away.

Is it am I overstating this Matt?

You know history so well It feels like to me as someone who's been watching these things since the last year of Nixon it feels to me this is a Consequential a monumental a historical moment today in the White House Put Trump aside look at the office of the president on states in our country

This sends a chilling signal, in my opinion, to all of the US allies around the country, and this could be a global moment of change, and not for the good, I might add.

You hit the nail in the head.

Can you imagine George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Roosevelt doing anything like this in public?

No.

This guy is a shyster.

Yeah, no.

And so if you are in the UK right now, if you're in Germany, if you're in France, Italy,

Spain, all of the nations that really, these are our ancestors for a lot of us in this country.

They're looking at this and then they go, well, what is Trump going to do if Putin goes into Moldova?

He's already in Moldova.

He has the transvestary, it's called a slice of land.

He's already in Georgia.

What if he goes into Estonia and says, I'm going to liberate the eastern third, which is Russian speaking.

They're a member of NATO.

This guy, Trump, is servile to Putin.

He's afraid of Putin.

We have a Manchurian candidate in the White House, and he has been compromised to steal a report.

Not just that, they've been funded for something like 20, 30 years, more than 30 years, because banks won't give him money.

This has never been done before in American history.

And if something isn't done right now, we can't wait around four more years for the next president.

I think we're, I

think we're approaching a critical point in American history.

I no longer believe that it's a guarantee there will be midterm elections.

You know, but I think that too much has already happened.

And the only thing left in my opinion, Matt, with hope is that so far, by and large, the courts have held.

If those fall, Matt, I don't know that we can maintain democracy in America.

Right, and remember something, even in this last election, people with a Russian address were making bomb threats to Black precincts, to Navajo precincts, all the Democratic precincts.

There will be interference with the midterms.

You're absolutely right.

We have a free press still, and we have free judiciary by and large.

They will hold.

However,

if

more Trump gets to appoint them, yeah, great, exactly.

This is a message to everybody out there.

You're Americans.

Your vote is being overridden.

This guy is simply trying to change the entire country.

Don't stand for it.

I don't care if you're Republican or not, or a Democrat or independent.

Don't stand for it.

Get out and speak out.

Call our allies and their embassies and tell them we stand with them.

Tell them that Trump has betrayed the United States.

You can't just sit back because if you turn around, it's very, very hard to restore democracy.
