In today’s second hour, we continue reminiscing about Bob Uecker’s legacy with Sean Hanish, Director/Producer of Just A Bit Outside: The Story of the 1982 Milwaukee Brewers. He reminds us that wherever you are, if you hear Ueck, you’re at home.
If you’re able to donate to help victims of the raging fires in Southern California, Time Magazine has a list of reputable charities that can best put your donations to use. You can also find some charities on civicmedia.us.
At the bottom of the hour, we are joined in-studio by Jeff Wright, a candidate running to be Wisconsin’s State Superintendent of Public Instruction. Currently the superintendent of the Sauk Prairie School District, Jeff is one of three individuals vying for the position in April’s election. He is doing a remarkable job of uniting the school board and student body in one of the most purple areas of our state.
Jeff Wright also shares some big news: former State Senate Majority Leader Dale Schultz is endorsing his candidacy. As a respected community figure in our state, Dale believes that Jeff Wright would be an ideal leader for Wisconsin’s public education.
