President-elect Trump has not yet taken office, and the MAGA party is already divided on immigration policy. Elon Musk believes that our country needs to bring in highly skilled immigrants to boost our engineering capabilities. Whether or not one agrees with this approach, it flies in the face of Trump’s “America First” mass deportation rhetoric. Vivek Ramaswamy, the Barney Rubble to Elon Musk’s Fred Flintstone, sees this as a cultural issue. According to him, Americans value jocks over valedictorians. However, when considering the actions of the actors, his example of Slater vs Screech from Saved By The Bell doesn’t hold up to scrutiny.
